We were on our way to visit my brother in Florida when we saw a sign for Wills Creek Vineyards. Wills is my maiden name and since were to visit my brother (and we all like visiting wineries in different states) we decided to visit this winery. Although they do a lot of Muscadine wines there were some drier wines. We chose 2 red wines - one was Rosso Eccelente and I can't remember the other one. We were pleasantly surprised with the wines we bought. They were both good and my brother enjoyed his bottle and got a kick out of the winery name! There was a nice lake behind the winery but we were there in the cold and were unable to enjoy it. We will definitely stop back if we are thru this area again.

My husband likes beer more, but ended up doing the tasting with me, and is a converted wino LOL! We loved this place and the owner, who was So sweet and accommodating! He has the most wine flavors I have seen and some really unique flavors! We honestly loved them all but make sure to try the Charred Peach, Skeeter Piss, and Orange Coffee for those different tastes! Had a great Cab and Scuppernong too! We will def make another Roadtrip back this way since I am sad he does not ship! The owner had great stories and spent a lot of time with us! Overall, top-rate experience! Oh yeah, and don’t forget to try his slush and get a slush mix to-go to turn any flavor wine into a slushie!

I took my wife here for Valentine’s Day and did not regret it. The owner is very pleasant and the wines were great. It turns out that there’s a whole wine trail of other vineyards in Alabama that you can go to and a few of them are close by to this one. Very fun experience. Check them all out.

We have been there a few times and the hospitality is always top notch. They have shady seating outside including some porch rockers. Tastings are complete, their entire lineup. Went to a big tent tasting and barbecue before with band and fireworks. Short drive from Birmingham and makes a nice afternoon drive.

So many good wines to sample, you'll certainly go away with a bottle or two (or more). The alcohol content is a bit higher than the average wine; 13% -19% abv, if I remember correctly. The Bodega, with 30+ years of aging, is my favorite, but the Satsuma Liqueur, one of their fortified wines (16.5% abv) is also another treat. And just recently added rums to their list of items. Rachel's Recipes - the jalapeno and garlic stuffed olives are delicious. Best I've tasted in the U.S. I also love the pickled okra, as well as their several types of jams/spreads they have to offer. They're known for their top notch vinegars, which I can't rate, because I'm not a vinegar type person. Ensure to get your photo taken in front of the "Big Red Door".

"If you're pressed for time and can only visit one winery in Alabama, Ozan is a good choice." - WineTrailsUSA Ozan is Alabama's Destination Winery featuring wine tasting and tours at I-65 Exit 228 - A relaxed Alabama winery near many Birmingham attractions and a perfect Alabama wine stop! With an expanded food menu. And don't forget the wine and train excursions!
This place was amazing in every way! We started off the day by having a whiskey tasting while waiting on the train to arrive. We then took an hour train ride. It was a pretty scenic route. Once we returned from the train ride, we were greeted with a charcuterie/w board. It had a variety of cheese, crackers, and some meat. From there we got to pick out 4 additional wines. They also gave us a tasting of their Sauvignon Blanc, so we ended up tasting 5 wines. We also ordered chicken salad for lunch, which was very good. To top things off you got to keep your wine glass. The owners were wonderful and so polite. We will for sure be back. This is a must do either for lunch, or just going for a glass of wine. It has a great laid back atmosphere. I have to say their Peach speciality wine was the best.
