Things to do in Adelaide, South Australia: The Best Fun Activities & Games

August 27, 2021 Mikaela Didonna

The capital city of South Australia is simply enchanting, a treasure trove of shopping, fine arts, gastronomy and outdoor activity. Adelaide is the heart of the world's opal industry, selling gorgeous stones from South Australian mines. Be sure to hike the aptly named Mt. Lofty Ranges and catch a wave off the Fleurieu Peninsula. Indulge your adventurous palate and traipse into nearby wine regions like the famed Barossa Valley to pick up a deliciously drinkable souvenir.

Flight Experience

We open the cockpit to the world and make it real! Under the guidance of a certified pilot, you will experience the next best thing to flying a real commercial jet airliner. Choose from a wide variety of airports, weather conditions and options. You take control and taxi, take-off fly and land the aircraft yourself!

This was a fun and educational experience. Daniel was a fantastic instructor, really friendly and helpful. The environment was also excellent, the cockpit made you feel like you were almost actually flying... As it is based inside Parafield airport, the experience also takes on an added dimension, as there were lots of student and experienced pilots in and around the building.

Did the penicillin room with a friend and had great fun! Bit of maths and science involved which was great for a budding science student! We had Jake as our escape master and he did an excellent job, such a fun and bubbly host, would want him again for the other rooms I'll definitely come back to do!

Tom is amazing! My partner and I came and enjoyed 90 minutes here, and the games they have on offer are incredible. I LOVE that the batteries are in the backpack, therefore we had free roam of the space and weren't held back by wires coming out of the headset. We played the Plank and Nightmare Elevator modes, Zombies, Deep Blue (under the sea experience), Elven Assassin, Paintball and more, and even a Call of Duty-type shooter with our favourite COD maps (such as Nuketown). Sadly my partner succumbed to motion sickness right at the end of the session and we chose to stop a little early. Tom didn't mind at all, and looked after us effortlessly. He gave us some water and somewhere nice and cool to sit. Also, the venue here is second to none in Adelaide. I have visited all 3 VR sites in Adelaide (Grenfell, Gouger and West Tce) and this one is by far the best. It is so clean, hospitable, bright, fun, colourful, with a brilliant atmosphere. Tom explained everything to us, and guided us as we used the controllers. So again, thank you; keep up the good work; and we will be back (just not to play the COD mode).

We had a great experience from being greeted at reception on arrival to having someone go through the the rules and regulations instructions and then led into the room. Everything was explained clearly so we knew exactly what to expect. The reception area has a licenced bar and had a great atmosphere with puzzle related decorations on the walls and tables. We loved the puzzles and the layout of the rooms and the hints we received kept us going a a decent pace. We were also able to take advantage of their free photo booth to remember the occasion. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. It was a great experience and we will be booking again.
