Beerenberg Farm is a "must visit" for all food lovers visiting the Adelaide Hills. One of Australia's oldest family-owned jam, condiment and sauce producers, it is now run by the sixth generation of the Paech family on their Hahndorf farm. Open all year round, 7 days a week (except Christmas Day), the farm shop is open 9am to 5pm. Enjoy a leisurely browse through the complete collection of farm-made products in the delightful farm shop. During strawberry season (November to April), bring the family and pick your own strawberries from 9am to last field entry at 4.15pm. Patch entry is $5.00 per adult (13 years and under are free). Strawberries you pick are then weighed and are $10.95/kg.
We visted the farm on a beautiful morning not long after opening and was already getting busy. We had some great family time picking in the strawberry patch and filled a few tubs. They taste so sweet and fresh. The visitors shop is full of good things. The only thing we think that is missing is a cafe. Imagine being able to sit and have scones, strawberry jam and cream with a coffee or tea, i think this would be very popular and was something we thought would be there. Loved our visit.

Six of us, including SA locals, interstate and overseas friends visited The Cedars where we took a self guided tour of the Han's Heysen Studio, a walk on the property (Artists Walk) and down to the green pool, followed by joining the guided tour of the House and self guided tour of the Nora Heysen Studio. We all thoroughly enjoyed our visit and the volunteer staff and guides were helpful and informative. One of our overseas guests even commented that she enjoyed it as much as visiting Monet's House and Garden in Giverny! The garden surrounding the house was lovely with many old fashioned plants and flowers and lawned areas, and the Artist's Walk took in magnificent gum trees on the bushland property.

Visited with friends when in Clare for a golfing weekend. The wine tasting was informative and delicious. We then ordered a couple of platters to enjoy with a glass of wine and take in the beautiful view. There is a lovely open space for children to enjoy plus plenty of seating inside for those that prefer it. Would be perfect for a wedding or other function.

A beautiful walk around Hahndorf seeing the cottages, quaint shops and heritage spots. The smell that wafts along the main street is amazing with the aroma of many different foods as you walk along.

The Hills Sculpture Trail features 26 contemporary stone sculptures made by sculptors who travelled to the region from around the world for the Adelaide Hills Sculpture Symposium events in 2012, 2014 and 2016. They carved their dreams in stone as they ground, chipped, chiselled and polished under the gum trees at The Cedars in Hahndorf - the property of Sir Hans Heysen. Most of the sculptures are dotted around the beautiful landscape of the Adelaide Hills, with some in the neighbouring region of the Fleurieu Peninsula - linking towns and regions, art and people, nature and beauty. In the Adelaide Hills sculptures can be found in the following townships - Mount Barker (8), Stirling (3), Hahndorf (2), Macclesfield, Balhannah, Lobethal, Meadows, Littlehampton, Mount Torrens, Nairne, Woodside and Bridgewater. On the Fleurieu Peninsula sculptures can be found in Langhorne Creek, Mount Compass, Milang and Strathalbyn. All sculptures are located on public land and are easy to access.
I love these sculptures. Drive through the lovely Adelaide Hills and check out these sculptural exhibits from artists across the world. Lots of good coffee and wineries on the way,. I love Sylvio Apponyis work and there are a few. Such a treat for a day driving in the hills.

UKARIA Cultural Centre is perched on the hillside of the Ngeringa property in the picturesque Adelaide Hills just outside Mount Barker. Concerts have been hosted on the property for acclaimed national and international artists since the mid-1990s. In 2014 the modest concert room was demolished and replaced with a magnificent 220-seat concert hall purpose built for chamber music. Great care has been taken to ensure that the new hall has superb acoustics without compromising the spectacular sweeping views to the Mount Barker summit. Leading architect Anton Johnson has designed every aspect of the Centre with the sensory experience of the visitor in mind. Parking bays are nestled into the edges of the garden, and there are multiple entry points that pass through native flora, traditional roses, lavender and other aromatic herbs. Large sculptures, a dry stone labyrinth, shady trees and a water feature compliment the idyllic setting.

Petting zoo, toy workshop, cafe, rocking horse. Plenty for the whole family to enjoy. Lollies, souvenirs, wooden toys all of great quality.

Two ‘grown ups’ and loads of animals to pet, play with, feed and relax. Great fun for all ages and, being an oldie of 50, loved feeding the lambs and being jumped on for food by the goats. Why not sit and relax with the guinea pigs or feed a roo?
