Karelia House, Scotland's premier craft destination, is set in stunning Highland Perthshire on the banks of the rivers Tay and Lyon. We are simply a crafter's paradise! We stock an abundance of yarns from merino to Tibetan Yak and lots more in between as well as a vast range of fabrics and batiks. Our coffee shop offers a warm welcome with comfortable seats around our woodburning stoves. Enjoy a coffee and homemade baking. Or why not stay for lunch and choose from delicious homemade soups or a selection of light lunches. We have outside seating with beautiful views of the Tay Valley and a play park for the children.
Great find, would love to have this near where we live!! Good selection of patterns and wools and all the accessories. There was a sewing class on which looked really good. Lovely staff. We had delicious soup while we were there, great tea shop as part of it

Next door is our homes and gardens shop, Homer. We are open seven days a week, 10am - 5pm (11am on Sunday).

Family business creating metal sculpture & garden art from found objects, scrap parts and mild steel. Sculptures large & small mostly depicting the natural world, wildlife & local surroundings & often with an element of fun & a touch of humour, with a strong recycling ethos.
We were met by a friendly smithy working hard who invited us to look around at our leisure. This couple is insanely talented and there are a variety of different sculptures to look at from wildlife like birds, deer and fish, pets like dogs and chickens, people like a bagpipe player and highland dancer, vehicles such as a motorbike, and word art. The art is VERY reasonably priced and there is something to suit all budgets, although there is no pressure at all to buy. The only downside is the place is a little small, but still a lot to look at and a good way to spend half an hour.

Doigs of Aberfeldy, one of the oldest established family businesses in Aberfeldy since 1983, is a traditional gents and ladies outfitters. We sell household, haberdashery, souvenirs, and many other items..! Frequent comments by customers: "wow, this shop has everything!"
This establishment can be a treasure chest. You can find what could be bought as a matter of course which is now difficult to find - like large plain quality cotton men's handkerchieves at a very reasonable price. All other shops seem to sell fancy hankies at a premium cost. On the other hand, I purchased an outrageously loud bowtie that looked great with a tweed jacket with a velvet colour. My other buys have been varied and many. It is an elegant building with an array of clothing and objects for both men and women. They do not make them like this any more! Go and explore.
