We stayed in the Jordaan location for three nights over the weekend, and couldn't be more pleased. The proprietor accommodated our arrival time and took the time to sit down with us, asked what we wanted to get out of our weekend, and to make recommendations (an experience we certainly did NOT have with other bnbs). Our room faced the street, Haarlemmerdijk, which is a gem of a street in itself. Location was easily walkable from the train station and really in the heart of it all. We were thrilled with the range of breakfast items and this was our favorite accent of the bnb, to me this really sealed the value of it all. No complaints at all, but do be aware that this is situated on a busy (but wonderful) street so if you can't sleep through the fun, that may be problematic. 10/10 would come back!!!

We spent two nights here. The owner could not have been more helpful and friendly. The accommodation was superb. we had two rooms plus a roof terrace overlooking a pretty garden for our private use. The breakfast buffet was good and plentiful. On the second morning we were asked to move from our table as they needed it for a couple with a dog. This was not a problem to us. However when they arrived for their breakfast we were shocked and disappointed that the dog's owner carried his little dog over to the buffet and held it right over the food and then proceeded to touch the food and containers without washing his hands. Unfortunately this spoilt our view of what had been a very nice place to stay. Although we personally felt this was unhygienic it did not seem to be a problem for the owners of the hotel

We really enjoyed our stay at Batenborg! Combined with the calming nature of Winsum, right outside Groningen, this beautiful B&B is definitely worth a visit. The family Geertsema has turned an old noble house into a warm and welcoming home for their guests. Every corner of the house shows how much love and effort they put into this place. The rooms have an antique and elegant charm which blends in with modern facilities. Beyond comfortable beds, a rich breakfast with homemade apple juice and a cosy fireplace, it is foremost the hospitality and generosity we received that made this stay so special. This place has much history which the family is more than happy to share with their guests. We want to thank the family for a great stay. We will definitely come back. Katie & Lars

Bed & breakfast De Galeriet is located in the center of the town, close to all the shops, about 10 restaurants, cafes, boat- and bikerental. Free wifi and free parking. The center of the village is also lively in the evening hours. The ideal spot for walking, dining, boating or finding a nice terrace at the waterfront. We also offer some special activities: - horsecarriage tours in village and national park - workshop with local artists / painters - fotoshoot in traditional clothing.
I'll start with the positive side, great location, nice restaurants next door, and a nice apartment. On the negative side, I guess due to all the good reviews, none of you got to actually talk to the host, maybe. I requested to talk to her and when she came I asked why we can't cook? since there is a stove. She replied to me that in Booking it doesn't say there is one, I then said I understand it was my mistake, she didn't let me finish and stated that she is happy to hear and that I should have read the ad better! Not only that I felt bad for my family for my error I was also shamed and embarrassed by the host when she stated it so rudely in front of them. I understand that in Giethoorn you make enough money in the summer traffic that you can easily treat your winter guests in an ill manner. To sum up: the place is good, but the host should treat her paying customers with respect.

We have just spent the most blissful week at Pension Even Buiten and it truly was a little haven in heaven. If you are looking for a B&B in one of the most beautiful natural environments in NL, then this is it! Stunningly beautiful, peaceful, great room, terrific breakfast and superb hospitality. We stayed in room 2 a small yet spacious self contained little apartment which was spotlessly clean, comfortable and very homely. The bathroom was modern, clean and had constant hot water and a good supply of freshly laundered towels. The double bedroom was big enough to feel at home in, very spacious with a very comfortable bed. There was an additional sink with vanity mirror and cupboards in the bed room, and lots of cupboard space and a wardrobe to pop all of your belongings away. T.V. in both the bedroom and living space with a huge selection of channels. Excellent Wi-Fi connection which was free. The living room had a small kitchenette, coffee and tea making facilities, a small refridgerator and hot and cold water at all times. A dining table with two chairs and an additional, easy chair to relax in. All the rooms were very tastefully decorated, lots of windows with blinds and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was fantastic! Brown, white rolls and Croissants were freshly baked every morning. There was Dutch cheese, mozzarella & tomatoes, selection of cold meats, fruit platters, yoghurt, muesli, eggs whichever way, and lashing of tea and coffee! I’m sure there was more but I can’t remember. The breakfast was delicious. The B&B grounds are really spacious, with a communal and central courtyard. There are tables and chairs scattered around, so it lends to a very cosy and hospital feel. The courtyard is a great little spot to chill out and relax after a long day, and it’s also a space to meet the other guests and be sociable if you want to. If not, no one will bother you if you prefer to be alone and sit and read with a drink from the bar. It’s full of plants and lamps and nicknacks and you can hear running water from the rockery which makes it all feel very zen and relaxing. Even Buiten is just a few minutes walk from the village where you will find all the shops you’ll need for groceries, gifts and so on. It’s very pretty and lovely to explore. There is nothing you can’t find really. The beaches, dunes and nature reserve are also within walking distance, and for someone like me who loves nature, then this is my perfect place. There simply wasn’t anything that I could fault with my stay at Even Buiten. It was more than perfect. Amazing people and top class management. Thank you so much. Highly recommended and my go to retreat when visiting the Dutch Islands!

The owner is very welcoming and helpful, the room are big and charming. The b&b is absolutely lovely, so much so that's the second time I'm coming back! The fact that it's not possible to pay with card is the only drawback.

Welcome to the country life. Nestled in the green heart of Holland in Linschoten nearby Utrecht lays the Louisehoeve, a farm from 1602 and part of the historical and beautiful Estate Linschoten. The former stables and cheese house of this farm have been recently converted into new spacious and comfortable guest rooms. These rooms offer privacy and separate living areas for relaxation, small food preparation and sleeping quarters with private bathrooms. All the luxury and comfort of today in an authentic style. An extensive breakfast with various local products is served in your room. Freshly boiled eggs from our own chickens should not be missed here. Feel the atmosphere of the old Dutch country life with its narrow paths, streams, forests and meadows. Enjoy the peace and natural surroundings or visit one of the nearby old towns such as Oudewater, IJsselstijn or Montfoort, You could also visit the center of Utrecht and Gouda with a short fifteen minute car ride.
This B&B is located in the green heart of the Netherlands not far from the beautiful towns like Linschoten, Woerden and Oudewater. The old farm had been restored to perfection whilst protecting the historical elements and feelings, it is surrounded by nature, a castle, little canals and several other monumental farms and houses. The host Karin and Jaap are lovely people who will ensure that your stay meets your wishes. We stayed in the "Kaashuis" which translates into "Cheesehouse" and can sleep four persons and is equipped with all the things you would typically have at home including a beautiful fireplace! In the morning we were served a delicious breakfast with all sorts of local produce. I would definitely come back to this lovely B&B.

We stayed here one night while visiting the area. Bertram is a very relaxed and enjoyable B&B type multi room hotel located right at the central square. Rooms are clean, beds excellent, bathroom small but with all necessary equipment. Shower excellent. Staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast simple but very enjoyable. Parking free of charge right alongside the hotel. The nice thing is the historical town and it's beautiful surroundings.

Very spacious beautiful room decorated in a ' Roman ' style. Excellent breakfast with friendly and helpful hosts. Short walk from town centre. Secure storage for our bikes. Only downside was that the bathroom towels felt like cardboard.

My girlfriend and I visited here at the start of the year. It is based slightly outside the main centre, which is no issue at all as there is a tram stop just outside, which takes 2 minutes to travel in. When we arrived, Alex greeted us, and stopped with us for half hour, with a map, telling us all the fantastic places to go. He was brilliant. He even gave us a loyalty, discount card the supermarket next door so we could use for points and discount. The kitchenette in the apartment was great. Has everything you need, and could easily be used to cook a meal for a night in! The apartment and Alex made a fantastic trip for us, and next time we come to Amsterdam, we will be visiting.
