This restaurant is wonderful, very funky décor, very smart. Lovely to see the chefs at work in the open plan environment. We had the tasting menu and let Meijers 'surprise us' which was fantastic. Beautiful albacore tuna delicate and beautifully presented, this was my favourite dish. The veal was fabulous and the dessert great, I had the cheese (when in Holland :) which was generous in portion size and just delicious. A really great end to a special meal with my husband. The bread they served straight away fresh from the local bakery was just heaven. Because we sail in Medemblik frequently we have tried many of the restaurants and so far this is definitely the best. Service was wonderful, thanks so much :)

For our first visit to Amsterdam we followed our usual protocol, which means we consulted TripAdvisor. Bickers a/d Werf was well ranked and the reviews looked promising, so we chose it for dinner our first night in the city.As we have come to expect from the TA community, the reviews were spot-on.First advice - if you want an outside table (and, assuming the weather is nice, you do!) then make a reservation. We didn't, and it worked out well, but in the future we most certainly will.Second advice - trust the staff. If they tell you something is good, then go with it.Our two entrees, the fish of the day and tuna, were both prepared to perfection and presented with thoughtful sides that complemented every aspect of the presentation. The fish of the day was sole, lightly pan-fried â delicate and flavorful. The tuna was seared in a sesame/soy combination and absolutely fantastic. We chose a bottle of the house Sauvignon Blanc, which turned out to be a highly rated selection. It was crisp, bright, fruit-forward, and a bit on the dry side of Sauv Blanc, which allowed it to stretch from entree to dessert without a single "off" note. Desserts can be a challenge! Multiple attractive options to choose from, but we (again) went with the "cake of the day" (which was actually pie) and the Lemon Meringue was lovely. Not my grandmother's pie, mind you, but just as satisfying! On top of the excellent food we enjoyed wonderful service. While I didn't get any names, I do know that our waiter was assisted by one of the owners. Both individuals were warm and attentive, offering suggestions and snippets of helpful conversation. They managed 7-8 outdoor tables without missing a beat. It was obvious that several tables were occupied by regulars, another indication of consistency. When we return to Amsterdam we will most definitely return to Bickers a/d Werf!

Restaurant Vinkeles is housed in an old bakery; which was set up in 1787 by the Regents of the Catholic Church, who at the time owned the building. The bakery flourished until 1811 and guests still can see the original ovens, which were discovered intact
The menu has a proxy fixe option and ala cart. We ordered ala cart. Garden snails were perfect as well as a superb pigeon dish. Perfect. The other personâs had a turbot and and scallops. All dishes were very pleasing and tasteful. Good wine selections and very nice cocktails. The restaurant is small but the atmosphere is cozy and very warm. Staff was absolutely delightful.Little did we know our son-in-law contacted the restaurant to let them know of my wifeâs birthday. Nothing was said until the meal was over. We were leaving and Chef Kuipers met us at the door and thanked us for dining with him. He gave my wife a beautiful box with birthday greetings on the box and a nice apple cake inside. Quite a special touch. It is expensive but one should expect the prices with the quality and atmosphere.Dear rhpatt29,Thank you for your 5 star review on Tripadvisor. It was our pleasure to welcome you in the restaurant to celebrate your birthday! Your son in law made the perfect choice for you to end your trip with!We hope we gave you some Southern warmth in the Netherlands despite the rainy day!See you next time when you are in Amsterdam and maybe with the whole family?Kind regards,Tiffany Kensmil

Despite having now been a local here in Amsterdam for several months it is always a delight to discover new, little-known gems that provide healthy (yet tasty) treats and BOY did Juice by Nature provide. Upon entering I was greeted with a myriad of options and found it difficult to make a decision initially. In the end I went for their vegan cheeze wrap (made with a nut-based vegan cheese) and a âextreme greenâ juice which were both divine. This cafe is a hidden gem considering itâs location, seems to cater to all - providing vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and nut free options to suit - with friendly, knowledgeable staff and a relaxed atmosphere. Iâll be back. Hi delvacozi, Thank you for your wonderful review of our healthy cafe in Amsterdam! The vegan cheese is a popular seller, maybe next time try the vegan cheese board. Great to hear you are a local and hope to see you back again soon!Kind Regards, Paula Cathersides

Soaring above Amsterdamâs rooftops, step into a calm and composed realm of fine dining at Ciel Bleu restaurant. Situated on the 23rd floor of Hotel Okura Amsterdam, Ciel Bleu holds two Michelin stars for its international cuisine led by chefs Onno Kokmeij
We had an amazing experience at Ciel Bleu. We were seated in a quiet corner of the restaurant overlooking the lights of the city. Our delicious dinner looked like art as it was served by a very attentive wait staff. The sommelier was very knowledgeable and chose the perfect wine for each course. Highly recommend!

Marque Restaurant is an experience about the seasonal products during the year. We select our finest ingridients for a special degustation menu to give our guests the best tastes!
From the start you feel welcome in this 17th century building. Warm reception by the staff. Surprising 3 or 7 course menu with or without wines. But adaptations are no problem. Extensive explanation about the dishes and the wines, very much appreciated. Excellent balance of tastes, also the presentation of the dishes is perfect. Go on like this !

We serve one menu of at least 4 courses (saturday starting at 5 courses) with only the ingredients that we really support. Our appetizers and dishes are inspired by the seasons, what the island offers us and vegetables have the leading role. The meat, fis
Whilst holidaying on Texel, we celebrated our wedding anniversary with our two boys (aged 9 and 13) by introducing them to fine din8ng in Kook Atelier. They were a little nervous beforehand, partly at the thought of experimenting with food and partly because we don't speak Dutch. As we entered the restaurant, any fears were quickly dispelled as our waitress greeted us in excellent English and went out of her way to make us all feel at home. We went for a six course 'surprise' menu, with added amuse bouches. We were not disappointed; every course was made from fresh, local produce and was presented with beauty, style and in one course humour (a delicious seafood dish served in a sardine tin!)The taste combinations were exquisite, with parsley sorbet, served with strawberries in multiple forms, a real surprise hit! The service was also exceptional, the waitress and chef going out of their way to ensure we all got the most out of our meal. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys a truly fine dining experience. Thank you. Thank you so much for this wonderfull review, hope to see you again!
