We choose this restaurant after good Tripadvisor reviews and because its menu looked more interesting than most. I started with the Thai salad and then had the lamb. My wife had the monkfish as a main course. All the food was light and imaginative. The monkfish being particularly good.

We made a stop here for some beer and a bite. We had the selection of tapas. I never thought it was possible to be so creative with potatoes. All the tapas were amazing. We will definitely return here for dinner.

It is truly an experience to dine at Restaurant Taste!: entice your senses in an intimate setting and let our culinary hospitality surprise and treat you. Seasonal products form the basis for our dishes. Fresh from the grower, pure, delicious and honest.
This was an unexpected wonderful experience at Taste! The restaurant is indeed located at the same address as the Mercure Hotel but is not just a hotel restaurant. From start to finish this was one of the best restaurant experiences in the past year. The welcome, the choice of cocktails, and then Dinner (with a capital D)! We selected the 6 course surprise diner with wine pairing suggested by the sommelier Kees Verlaan. Even with a wine that was developed by himself (Taste! Wine by Kees Verlaan). While enjoying our cocktail drinks some small starters were served. Real great looks and real good Taste! This continued the rest of the evening. From really unique ways of presentation as well as the food quality: excellent. Maybe the portions were a little big sometimes for a 6 course. Besides the food, everything which is being served comes with a small explanation about origin (wines of course, but how often do you get background info of the olive oil in other restaurants... here they put pride in what they do... just enjoy). All for a more than acceptable price. The location in the basement does not have great views but has a real nice atmosphere and we have never been missing a view... but in summer time (they told us) they seem to open the outdoor dining at the 5th floor with a magnificent view of the city center, as they explained. Conclusion: we probably will end up being "regular" guests.Dear GerardV754,Thank you very much for sharing your experience on Tripadvisor! We feel honored to receive such a beautiful review. Our chef and his team do their best to give you an unforgettable experience with the finest dishes and pairing wines. We are happy to read that you enjoyed your evening with us!How nice that you mentioned the Taste! Wine developed by our sommelier Kees Verlaan himself. We serve this wine since a couple of weeks now, it is always a pleasure to receive positive feedback about it. Thank you once again and we are looking forward to welcome you again in the future! With kind regards,Mandy PrincenCustomerservice

This is a fish delicatessen and a restaurant. You have to be either early or book in advance because it is very popular, for good reason. Iâm not a particular fish lover but the menu is excellent with something for everyone. Absolutely delicious food and I look forward to returning.Itâs not cheap, but there again Holland is not cheap either!

Entering the Treeswijkhoeve we were warmly welcomed by mr. Middelweerd (Chief/owner).When our guest had arrived and our aperitifs were served mr. Middelweerd came to our table and, while cutting and serving a little piece of sausage bread with truffles (delicious), he informed what we would like to have for dinner and if there were any dishes or ingredients we wouldn't like or couldn't eat. Since our guest preferred to choose for à la carte instead of having a kind of surprise menu with several small dishes, we all decided to choose for à la carte.Just a few minutes after mr. Middelweerd had left, several beautiful and very special amuses were served (some on bamboo sticks). For me, being allergic to scallops and shrimps, the amuses with this ingredients were adapted. Unexpectedly fast. The gentlemen choose to have 3 variations of goose liver, I choose the lobster. Our next choice was a sole meunière and twice a pheasant (delicious old fashioned dish, you hardly can order in restaurants). After the maître/sommelier mr v.d. Kerkhof had taken our order, mr Middelweerd came again to our table. He told us that the goose liver was served in 3 courses. And since my lobster was just one course he suggested that he made 3 different courses of my lobster, so have 3 courses too and wouldnât be just watching when the gentlemen had their 3 courses. Great, thatâs what real empathizing in your guests is. The goose liver dishes as well as the variations on the lobster were outstanding. The sole was what a sole meuniere has to be and the pheasants were superb. And then mr. Middelweerd came again. This time with a little steelpan; he said; âwell if you are having an old fashioned pheasant I thought some old fashioned applesauce should go with itâ. Absolutely true!!After the main courses he came again asking if we would like to have any dessert. Since our guest and I decided not to, but my husband was doubting whether he would or not, mr. Middelweerd offered to make him another old fashioned dish; a Dame blanche. My husband gladly accepted the offered Dame blanche and still has sweet dreams about it.Meanwhile mr. v.d. Kerkhof did a great job: talking about what wine too choose to accompany the dishes, serving professionally, being very attentive and relaxed, being witty in a proper way. Conclusion: the Treeswijkhoeve is worth the journey, not only for the terrific food, ambiance and professionalism, but not in the least, for their perfect feeling for hospitality and empathizing in what guests would like: having a perfect evening with delicious food in a relaxed atmosphere.

This cozy cafe, with indoor and terrace dining, is located on Veemarktstraat, near the market square in Breda. Their specialty - tostis! A tosti is similar to the French 'croque monsieur' - 2 slices of bread, with fillings between, toasted or grilled. A delicious 'toasted sandwich', great for a light meal or snack. Here you'll find mouth-watering tostis served by friendly staff. Their eye-catching, unique menu stands out. They offer a wide choice of tosti fillings (both savoury and sweet), different types of bread and sauces, hot and cold beverages as well as dessert. Further, they offer vegan tostis (a plus for vegans and those looking for a vegetarian alternative). Personally, I enjoyed their chicken tex-mex wholemeal bread tosti served with sliced cucumber on the side accompanied by truffle mayonnaise sauce. A crunchy crust on the outside with flavourful fillings - definitely a temping treat. Helpful staff, nice atmosphere. An interesting feature is their tosti cellar/basement. Guests will find swings for those who want to try a different type of seating. Do take the time to check out their wall with colourful artwork. We enjoyed a happy lunch together here.Thank you for your enthusiastic reaction. We really appreciate that you feel our style and assortiment. We try hard every day to make our guests feel welcome and special by providing a new atmosphere and style as well as a wide variety of tosti's, panini's and salads We hope to see you again for another cozy breakfast of lunch

We went here for my girlfriends birthday. We were sitting in the kitchens table and therefore could see the preparation of the food. Itâs like a piece of art to see this happening. The taste of the food and the service were also amazing.

In Michelin awarded restaurant De Lindehof you can enjoy a contemporary total concept: culinary tour de forces in a modern and hospitable ambiance.
Just had a fantastic dinner in de Lindehof with friends. Wonderful food amazing starters and just awesome service. We had the 6 course dinner which was simply grwat. How many different flavours can you add in one dish? The plates itself were small works of art served on wonderful porselain. The serving staff was very professional they just saw everything. The flow from the kitchen to the table was smooth....we never had to wait too long but we also didnt have the feeling the things were rushed. Great pace. If possible you should go here. Reservation might be necessary...we will be back for sure.
