Foodies lab is an international lunch room and casual diner. The menu consists of the traditional classics and the new. Whether its a lamb stew lasagna, traditional dutch grilled cheese sandwich, lamb burger or a middle eastern hummus. We've got it all.
A small place with a limited menu. However the quality and pricing are very good and in balance. Besides the menu, they have a choice of 5 chef specials. Also they have some vegatarian food. Unfortunately the (friendly, croatian) waiter did not speak dutch.Thank you for your kind review. As you very well know, The Hague if a very international city and becoming more international every day. As much as we would like all our staff to speak dutch, it is very difficult to only hire dutch speaking staff. Our friendly croatian waiter has been in the country for only a year, so we'd like to give him some more time to learn the language. I believe dutch nationals are extended the same courtesy when they move to a new country for work and they do not know the local language.

Quality of the food is good, although pizzas should not be garlic flavored by using garlic butter. The pizza calzone missed its prosciutto and the pizza paranoia tasted more like garlic butter than tartufe.Atmosphere is good, if it wasnât constantly disturbed by the pizza delivery boys walking in and out, even blocking the entrance.Restaurants need to decide what they are: home delivery or dine-in....

Italian restaurant located in 19th century villa close to the center of The Hague and the seaside resort Scheveningen. The kitchen is based on local specialties from Lombardia, Marche and Abruzzo, made with specially imported ingredients and fresh home ma
The food was very nice, especially the fish and meat. A couple of my vegetables tasted a bit bland but everything else was brilliant and very well presented. The experience was let down by the service. The staff were enthusiastic, no problems there! We had barely sat down when the amuse-bouche was served. That was ok but then the starter arrived before we'd even been asked if we'd like to order wine! Food continued at quite a speed; dessert was on the table within an hour of our arrival. Fortunately this was cold so we left it while we finished our wine. The problem came once we'd finished: no-one came to clear the table or ask if we wanted coffee. In fact, they all seemed to be avoiding our table and avoiding eye contact! It put a dampener on what was a nice evening. We finally caught someone's attention to ask for the bill and it still took several minutes before a different member of staff came over and offered us coffee! We finally paid an hour after receiving dessert...

Even though it looks like the owners are Spanish (please correct me if I am wrong) we had a great dinner. :) The waiters are very professional, cooks are outstanding! So yes, go for it!!! You will not regret it!

Dear food lovers, We are located in one of the most iconic streets of den Haag, but we're far away from being your typical italian restaurant. From homemade pastas, breads and butters to fresh fish and recently hunted meats, our chefs eager to bring you t
I was in this charming city at the beginning of June for work. I decided to return to this restaurant to enjoy authentic Italian cuisine, certain that it was of a high standard. This time I was surprised to eat a dish so typical of Italian cuisine, prepared so masterfully abroad. âPorchettaâ made by the chef Stefano Bellini. It was like to be in the Roman castles. All accompanied by a very good Apulian red. The next day I returned a I spoiled a first course... potato dumpling, gnocchi, with bacon, guanciale, always entirely prepared daily by the chef. What to say? the food in this restaurant is superior, appetizers of salami with truffle directly from Umbria, wine ... mmh! but it is not all. The staff is very discreet, elegant but at the same time friendly. They make you feel like a special guest but pampered in your home. Thank for this to the Barbaraâs smile, Riccardoâs personality and Danieleâs sweet welcome.I recommend it not only to those who want to learn about Italian cuisine but also to those who, including Italians, want to live a superior experience

Mario and emanuela welcome you to this trattoria Where you have the impression of being in italy Both for hospitality and for hospitality See you soon
The delicious food and lovely staff don't quite make up for the very loud and extremely stuffy restaurant. Unfortunately the room is rather small so tables are close together which means people have to practically shout to be heard. The close proximity to the kitchen and other diners coupled with a lack of air conditioning means the restaurant is extremely warm and stuffy which ruined the experience. I would not go back as a result which is a pity as the food was to be recommended.

Nice fresh italian food with wood oven pizza, for lunch and for dine come and try!
We visited Pastanini, a couple of times during our 7 days in the Hague. We stayed at the Marriott and were looking for an Italian restaurant for a family dinner in walking distance. How luck we were. We visited this fabulous Italian 3 or 4 more times in that week and never regretted. They have a limited menu on meat&fish but a variety of pasta and especially pizza. The pizza bread is so tasty that you may not even want any toppings at all. We tried the classic margherita, caprese, 4 formaggi and salame milano and all were delicious. Their pasta pomodoro in the kid's menu and linguine ai frutti di mare is also great. Try anything and you will want more. They also have a long wine list:I believe, most of the staff were Italian (they spoke Italian among themselves) and don't have any issues with speaking English. They are really friendly and help you out even in the crazy crowded evenings. Speaking of which, remember to make a reservation for dinner, because they are really busy in the evenings.I can easily say, it was one of the best Italian restaurants I have ever visited.

My friends and I had pizza, beer and dessert here. The tuna pizza was amazing and my friend enjoyed his Salami Pizza also. The pesto pasta was not as good as the pizza. It lacked much flavor other than warm noodles rolled into an excessive amount of pesto sauce. The cheesecake and the Peroni beers were quite nice. Overall we enjoyed the meal and would eat here again.
