The best available Villas to stay near Tulum

April 23, 2023 Claudia Navarrete

Mayan ruins tower over the sea in Tulum. The formerly walled city was one of the last to be built by the Mayans, and its archaeological sites are incredibly well preserved. Take a break from the beach to visit El Castillo, the Temple of the Frescoes, and the Temple of the Descending God. Explore an underground river under a canopy of stalactites in the sacred caverns of LabnaHa Eco Park, or dive into Cenote Dos Ojos to snorkel inside of caves in the middle of a forest.

Una Vida

Una Vida is a tropical oasis tucked away in the jungles of Tulum. We are just a few minute stroll to town and 3.5 miles to world class beaches. Tulum Town offers some of the best restaurants, shops and bars - all of which are very authentic and affordable. Our guest have full access to our grounds which consist of two restaurants, two resort style pools, palapa bar, yoga shala, fire pit, tezmazcal and sound healing. Una Vida offers some of the most spacious and well-appointed accommodations in all of Tulum. We were awarded the 2017 Best Hotel Design Award for the entire Riviera Maya. We were the first non-beachfront property to ever receive this honor. We are proud to be the premiere boutique hotel in Tulum Town. We designed our spaces with sharing and families in mind. Our 1 and 2 bedroom units offer spacious detached living areas with full kitchenettes, dining rooms and lounging daybeds. All rooms have private outdoor space and first floor rooms have extra large outdoor showers and bathtubs. Villa Jacinta is our private 3-bedroom, 3.5 bathroom villa with a private dipping pool, outdoor lounge and dining area. All of the bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms and private outdoor space.

We are almost sure that after being here only one day you will be thinking about changing your return ticket or even canceling it and staying for good (nothing can be farther from the truth, it happened to us and many other people). but don't worry we have 18 different Cabañas to choose from to make it your new home.

Horrible place

Reviewed By NicolasD823

We checked into a room that was smelly, with no AC, dirty towels, and roaches in the shower. We went to the restaurant for dinner and felt we were bothering the server who was extremely rude. We could not sleep the first night due to the excruciating heat and heavy noise coming from the next-door venues. The next day, we asked the front desk person to change our room but were told that nothing was available (although we saw other people checking out). Finally decided to check out because of all of the above, yet, the attendant refused to give us our money back. Do not go to this place, it is a scam. The only line pictures are nothing like what it really is and the service is horrible.
