Reminiscent of resplendent African safaris in the early 20th century, our two tented villas provide an elegant and romantic ambience allowing you to experience nature in comfort. Additionally, we have two Javanese cottages dating from the 1930s that hark back to a bygone era. They're made entirely from teak wood and meticulously restored with 85 sq. meters includes kitchen and forest-view deck
We arrived in Sebatu Eco-Sanctuary after a long travel and it was definitely a perfect place to recover and rest, because of the beauty and peace of the nature at the resort, the wonderful house and the lovely people, who are always ready to assist. There is great food (ayam bubur!! Pisang goreng!!) and swimming with the fish is amazing. We will definitely come back. We also thank Alex for the tour, it was inspiration to hear about his vision and we support his mission for a more sustainable model for hospitality in Bali.

Beyond its stunning location, modern design and full amenities - Pandawas villas & hotel offers a very unique combination of subdued comforts, serene spaces and distinctive details which make you feel indulgent beyond your imagination. Here "luxury" is not only re-defined; it crosses the threshold into the next dimension where all the elements come together in an elegant synergy defined by design and details. Co-Living Ubud Eat-Pray-Love Our concept of co-living and collaborating with the millenials - the twin Banyan trees Yogashala, cooking together at the large family style kitchen makes Pandawas your home away from home.
Pro: Big swimming pool (beachfront one). Beautiful views. Can watch sunrise. Con: BAD maintenance. Bathroom wasn’t working properly. The reason they gave is the beachfront villa (just the one bedroom) bcs the room we booked malfunctioned! Moldy walls. The living room stinked and wasn’t ready for any guests (stinky). Alam Ubud is not only a resort but a new place for the Indonesian culture in the surrounding of Ubud area. Located at the amazing river valley and tropical forest, only minutes away from the centre of Ubud Bali, Alam Ubud spaciously set within a 4 hectare river villa and garden landscape. The scenery along the road from center of Ubud the Alam Ubud area is an observation and culture environment. So, you can imagine the location is very unique and special in Ubud. In every terrace and garden area you also can find old culture from Java island and some of culture that date back to the 15th century until the 19th century we found in area of Villas.

The only good thing about here is the infinity pool & the floating breakfast that you have to pay 100,000 additionally for. there's only 6 - 8 "villas" here. Room smells wet & moldy. I stayed in room #8 & had mushrooms growing on the wall. Also not cleaned properly & & dusty. A bunch of ants are always coming onto the bed. I had breathing issues from the first night that stayed here but I would be fine once I was out & about. The canopy on bed was dirty. The breakfast is cold. My fourth night here they had power issues going in my fifth morning. All the villas on my side kept going in & out with power while the power on the left side which consisted of. the pool , the front desk 3 modern villas were okay. wifi didnot work in my room the first night I stayed here and the tv was not programmed either. On my 3rd day they got someone to fix it & only 3 "satellite " channels work. I still have 3 nights left & I regret booking this "villa" for an entire week. I paid $431 for 7 nights when there were cheaper brand name hotels & other up to dates villas which were $100 - 150 cheaper. This isn't my first time in Bali. I last stayed at the sakala resort in nusa dua & everything was perfect compared to doni's house. There are Airbnb's which are modern & cheaper. breakfast is basic af & come in packages. Boiled!, scrambled, omelet(nothing added to it) egg, fruits (watermelon, papaya, pineapple), pancake , coffee, tree,, noodles, & the same same tired ass natural watermelon drink. I would strongly advise on selecting somewhere else to stay. There are way better options out there. Doni's house really needs to lower their prices because they are over priced. & trust me, I would know because I had 10 different other bookings lined up on booking.com The employees are beyond nice & are apologetic, but it's not worth it. stay else where unless this is your last resort & you really want to stay in the ubud area. there is nothing around the area in walking distance. The offer shuttle service to the ubud center at 11am & 3 daily. I'll had some pictures & post an update once I've checked out

Villa Kemuning -The Truth of Rice Field Villa Retreat Villa Kemuning is located in Kedisan Village of Tegallalang, north out skirt of Ubud of which the street is with calm back and forth traffic of Tegallalang-Sebatu-Tampak Siring and other destinations. It's situated among famous parts of Bali Island, such as the famouse Ceking Rice-Terrace, Sebatu Holly Spring Temple, Tampak Siring Palace, Tirta Empul, and Gunung Kawi Temple. Within destination by car, it takes only 20 minutes drive from Ubud, 5 minutes drive from Tegallalang, 20 minutes drive to Kintamani with the Lake and Mount Batur , and about 1 hour drive to Besakih (Mother's Temple of Bali). A contemplating and blissful view is available from the site of the abundance of tropical forest, large size of greenery and flickering water rice-field covering all around sight of the villa. Being on high land level and having huge un-house touch of civilization, from the villa we can enjoy the amazing panorama of both sunrise and sunset, let alone the fresh air with temperature 28 - 30 C, to give the additional value of this tranquil villa. The "Kemuning" is the name of one of pretty white flower which symbolizes tranquility, and of which "kemu" means "go there and find" and "ning" has some meanings such as: "dearest" or "calm / tranquil / clear water". Having only two units of Two Bed Rooms Villas, first floor and second floor of which divided by a suspicious swimming pool, one parking space that can takes up to three cars, Private Dining Parlor set along with Reception Desk, this property is quite a suitable for either to stay in private or sharing. Staying at Villa Kemuning is to have the Truth Rice Field Villa Retreat set along with Bali Tropical Nature and Culture. A perfect place for a real escape in Bali.
The property is not a villa. It is just a hotel with 4 rooms. We stayed on the first floor. Have to take our luggage there ourselves. The property is surrounded by normal farm, no great views. There are no fly screens. If you open the windows, mosquitos comes in and if close, there is no ventilation. Bathrooms are just terrible. No ventilation!! Bathroom floor is made of pebbles. The bath tub was like not used of ages and not cleaned at all. Lighting is poor, I have to use torch of my mobile. Swimming pool without chlorine and small. Just a pure waste of time and money!

We chose Villa Lumbung as it is a central location in Seminyak with pictures showing lovely Balinese thatched villas and a large pool with fabulous gardens. My 2 sisters and brother and their family’s stayed in the villas and I stayed in the hotel room. The villas were lovely but also very pricey. Our hotel room was very ordinary, worn and dirty. The towels were dark grey and worn out, The bathroom had mould and cockroaches and the air conditioner leaked. They did attempt to fix the AC but the problem continued. When I booked they offered a one off free mini bar....I had to ask for this and they finally agreed it was part of my deal. They then delivered 2 orange juice, 2 small cokes, 2 packets of biscuits and 2 small bags of chips??? The breakfast was also very disappointing. Lack of staff meant tables were rarely cleaned and orders by the chef were forgotten. When I asked for English breakfast tea I was told that would be an extra charge. With hotel rooms being $150 aud per night and the villas between $200-$300 per night you would expect high quality and excellent service....this was not delivered.

Villa Amrita exceeded my highest expectation. The Villa over looks an amazing jungle view and river via the infinity pool. Humming birds join us by the water fountains for a luxuriating day. Near by are some wild fine dining restaurants, but the villa kitchen has the breakfast in fine form. The staff are so friendly and helpful. It's a get away you will always remember.

I can report that I really enjoyed my recent stay at Serenity Ubud Villas (18th – 21st July 20129) and can’t wait to start planning my next trip there. I am still impressed with the amount of space in each Villa and the tasteful way they are decorated. The rooms are clean and have all the modern conveniences. The TV reception was better than I get at home! It is easy to feel at home there soon after checking in. On this trip I enjoyed being shown the local area including a drive up to see the volcano, lunch at the lake, a guided tour of the water temple, photo opportunities at the rice terraces, front row seats at the amazing Kecak Dance and a chance to explore the always interesting Ubud Village. The highlight of the trip however was the personalised cooking demonstration in the kitchen of my own villa by expert cooks from a local hotel. Many thanks to the helpful staff of Serenity Ubud Villas for being so friendly, helpful and efficient.
