Sprawling tea plantations surround the serene hills of Munnar, which attract adventure travelers hungry for paragliding, treks to Anaimudi (South India's highest peak) and hikes originating at the confluence of three mountain streams. The stone Christ Church, built by the British in 1910, is adorned with renowned works of stained glass, and Eravikulam National Park, about 10 miles away, is home to equally colorful wildlife, including the endangered Nilgiri Tahr (ibex), ruddy mongoose and 120 bird species.

Nature at its purest form …. That is how we can describe Violet Woods. Violet Woods is a 100% eco friendly resort with 7 rooms elegantly designed amidst Cardamom Plantation. The spacious rooms with private balconies and attached bath gives the inmates the true feel of the nature. The Kitchen serves traditional Kerala food along with continental, Chinese and north Indian delicacies.
Beautiful Cottages well separated amidst a serene location in Bison Valley. There is reasonable amount of privacy, with separate entrances and balconies placed very nicely. There are no restaurants close by, but the in house restaurant provides decent food which the chef is more than willing to customize however you need. The caretakers were very good, Rajkumar, Anish, and Lachu were always going beyond to ensure we were comfortable during our stay. Even when they were fully booked up, the services were very punctual. You could take nice walks around the area, there is a small but adventurous trek nearby. 10/10 recommend this stay.

Me along with my family had visited T-cherries munnar and the property was well maintained and staff were found very friendly and caring. They even arranged camp fires etc . The food was very much homely and we loved tje saty. The rooms were very cozy. The roads to the property was not that good and you need to go in a vehicle that has good ground clearance.

Deavadaru Resorts welcome you to the world of enjoyment and relaxation.Spend your valuable holidaying time, relaxing in a stage set by nature with clean air, natural spring water in the middle of a cardamom, pepper and coffee plantation. Munnar’s salubrious climate makes you feel pleasant and energetic throughout the day.Encircled with woods and trees of tropical rain forest, you would find the habitat beyond your wildest imagination or expectation.Yes, you are far away from the madding crowd, being a single villa in a 2 acre property, you rent in whole, no hotels or resort can match this privacy. The modern soft and hard furnishing ensure that you are not compromising on cleanliness and neatness while staying close to nature.A true home away from home to keep all your worries and tensions at bay.
We arrived at the villa at dusk and saw no reception or anybody awaiting our arrival. So we knocked on the door to the Villa and disturbed a family who has also booked the Villa. Three westerners with backpacks at a Villa in the middle of nowhere seemed to upset the children. A caretaker appeared a couple of minutes later after we presume the family in the Villa called. At this point they had locked the doors and drawn the curtains! She spoke no English and called her boss. He explained our room was a few metres down the steep hill. The room had 2 double beds and a small bathroom, no kitchen area we were shown, perhaps it was behind the back but there was no access. No living room. This place did not resemble the pictures because it wasn't the Villa displayed - Note nothing was mentioned on booking.com about the rooms being in a outhouse. Nor did it mention no access to the Villa. We reduced our stay to a single night and requested a taxi for 8am as we had booked a tour on the munnar tea plantation. The person we spoke with on the phone assured us that this would be arranged. This was disputed when surprising at 8am no vehicle arrived. At 10am we finally got transport (the Villa is in the middle of nowhere) and had to go and apologise to our tour guide! Breakfast was included in our stay. We ate this on our doorstep? When we asked for towels for the bathroom we were given one - there was three of us. Overall false or misguided advertising occurred here and the suspicious 5 star ratings look a bit questionable... I am sure the owner will dismiss this but that is how I see it.
