The largest and many say most beautiful island in the Bay of Naples, Ischia is renowned for its curative spas. Ferries and hydrofoils connect Naples to Ischia Porto, the main town. Nearby at Ischia Ponte (connected to the main island by a foot bridge) are the magnificent Castello Aragonese and Guevara Tower. Forio on the island’s west coast, Lacco Ameno in the northwest and Sant’Angelo in the south are the liveliest resort towns. Casamicciola Terme in the north is one of Europe’s oldest spas.

The place is amazing (and the view is splendid) The room are very clean and fully equiped. You can use freely the pool and the thermal pool. The Host Lucas is very very helpful. And last but not least, the entrance to the cactus garden is included with the room (and the garden is amazing) In the garden you can enjoy during the summer some good concerts + cocktails. We were very impressed by this place.

We have just returned from a week at Villa Cinque Pini and would highly recommend to anyone! We stayed in a family room which had a lovely terrace, lots of space and all the amenities you need. The B&B has a lovely pool and courtyard where breakfast is served in the morning. Armando and his wife were so hospitable and helpful during our stay helping us get around, find the sights and generally couldn’t do enough for us, including picking us up from the port and arranging a scooter for us to explore the island. The B&B is a short walk from Casamicciola port which has a lovely couple of bars and restaurants and a 10 minute bus ride to Ischia port. It really is a great location to explore the island from. Already recommended to friends and family, don’t hesitate to book, I’m sure Armando will look after you as well as he did us!

Language Our Hotel lies on the south of the island Ischia, almost 25 miles from Naples and from Capri, in the middle of the most famous MARONTI beach., five minutes away from the Cavascura spa. This description cannot bring to you the beauty and the peacefulness of it. We hope that you will choose us for your holiday so that we can offer you tranquility in a family surrounding.
We arrived on the island and got a cab to the hotel, the taxi driver rang the hotel to advise guests would be arriving ( as the hotel we found out a short while later was about a km walk from the drop off area and they would help us with our luggage). After waiting for half hour for someone to appear we asked about to be told to leave our luggage and walk down the beach until we reach the hotel. We arrived at the hotel after the walk and check in was friendly however our rooms were not ready we were told to wait while they were prepared ( this was 1pm ish check in was supposedly from 11am). After waiting an hour we decided to eat - the food came about an hour after ordering (food was lovely) after about another 45 minutes our room was ready. Rooms were clean but basic and views were outstanding - that’s the good bit! We didn’t have a fan in our room and after asking 3 times we finally got given an old rusty fan that was so noisy. One of our party has a respiratory problem and the write up on the booking site said ‘short walk’ which we thought may be a few hundred metres - it’s actually a km walk along an uneven wooden walkway. We decided to mention this to the owners British wife in the hope she may suggest a solution or agree with us that the hotel write up was a bit misleading .... one of the party explained our dilemma that the one with the health issue was finding the walk too much and we were considering leaving early and how would this work. The lady owner said ‘ well did you not know Ischia is mountainous’ and said we should have reviewed the island before coming. We did review the island and she accused us of being in the wrong. We contacted the booking site who confirmed the description said ‘a short walk was NOT a few hundred metres or a km’ and that we should pay for the two nights we stayed and leave. We did just that - on checking out we were treated quite abruptly and not a goodbye or any help offered with our luggage so we had to drag our luggage along the wooden walkway of a km ( one of us having as we stated a health problem) All I could say is the Italians are such beautiful people and the island is incredible - if you come DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!!!!

It is necessary to use a taxi to get to the villa as it is 5 minute drive uphill after you leave the main road. The villa was hard to find as there is no name plate or house number on the wall at the bottom of the long drive, luckily our taxi driver helped us. The front doors were locked and nobody was there to meet us. Eventually we were shown our room which wasnt ready and we waited outside. A mattress from our room was drying outside. The room was nice, a few things were broken in the kitchen, i.e. the chopping board fell to pieces, the fridge door shelf was broken, the oven was dirty. There was one bottle of water in the fridge, no tea or coffee, no sugar or milk and no shop nearby. The hairdryer didnt work and the shower spurted water all over the bathroom. In the morning at 9 30 a lady was hosing the pool area above us and the water was dripping down on us sitting at the patio table!! Checkout is 10 a.m. and they come to collect cleaning money which we werent happy to pay. We only stayed one night. The mother of the owner came and demanded we pay her 29 euros. We told her our complaints and this resulted in her bringing the cleaner to the room, an argument erupted which was unpleasant. We were glad to leave. All I can say in their favour is the garden is beautiful and well maintained.

There was no pool (that is shown in the photo). There was no beautiful tile for the outdoor patio (as shown in the photo). It was a concrete slab. The air conditioning did not work for the first two days and the shower water was cold.

We stayed in villa Olivia for our summer holidays in Ischia. We loved staying here and Signore Giuseppe and his family are friendlyand could not have been more helpful, going as so far as to fence off one of the apartment gardens so that we could bring our dog on holiday with us. We loved being able to us the swimming pool and hydro-massage pool, set in beautiful gardens. We found the apartments to be clean, functional and confortable. The area, Forio is beautiful and the apartment is a close walk to shops, a great restaurant and is know for having the best beaches and sunsets of the island. We would recommend villa Olivia for anyone looking for an apartment for their vacation in Ischia.
