Excellent apartment located in the old center of Potes, capital of the Picos de Europa, located iin a Highland mansion of the 17th century of traditional architecture . Equipped with heating, television, kitchenware and linens. Apartments 4 / 6 (maximum 4 adults + 2 children): They have two bedrooms (one with double bed and one twin), lounge with sofa bed, fully equipped kitchen and bathroom. Equipped with heating, television, kitchenware and linens. Villa de Potes apartments have modern facilities to make your stay in our establishment you will find it more convenient and comfortable. All this combined with its privileged location in the old town of Potes, make them an ideal place to enjoy their stay during all seasons.
Second time in Potes but first staying at this accommodation. Building is lovely in a great part of Potes old town. Pool area is a huge bonus and apartment reasonable size . That said it was a little bit tired and needed some attention to detail especially the bathroom where there was mould stained tile grout and a loose shower screen door. The kitchen area had very little items to cook with and all the knives were so blunt you could not cut anything with them. I know it is self catering but usually places provide adequate toilet rolls etc which this didn’t. Finally I recommend throwing away other people’s used and filthy pot scourers and not leaving them for the next guests. Trust me no one wants or uses these so supply fresh clean ones or just leave the accommodation without one Staff very friendly

Beautiful retreat tucked away at a hard to find location outside of Santillana del Mar: no signage, road non existent on navigation. We opted for the suites and these were a disappointment and not worth the markup. There’s a coffeemachine, but it doesn’t work; there no glasses for a drink, there’s a kitchen unit, but no water or anything else you would expect, there is no table and chairs to sit outside. Decoration is very impersonal. Communication is difficult, but staff is friendly and flexible. Lot’s of space for significant improvements!

Beautiful house, with lovely light bedrooms and views to the mountains up and down the valley. Only 3 bedrooms available so you may be lucky and have the whole house/garden to yourself - including a very nice living/dining area. Lots of books and CDs, chess, etc. Everything is very clean and well furnished. Elena is particularly friendly and helpful - and freshly bakes for delicious/huge breakfasts - make sure you have them! There is homemade fig jam from the garden! Elena speaks good English if you need it. Convent short walk into Potes centre and good location for the Picos. Highly recommended.

We were traveling in the Basque Country for 6 days with some friends from Spain and on our third night, we chose to stay in a traditional inn in a small village. The "casona" is located in a very small village, Ruente, in the rolling hills of the province of Santander. If you are looking for something very traditional, then this really fits the bill. The inn has two floors and has about 5 rooms per floor. Each one has a completely difference decor than the other. Our room had a bathroom with a small shower, a small sitting room with the bedroom off to the left. Beyond the bedroom in an alcove was a jacuzzi. The furnishings all looked quite old (in the US, they'd be considered antiques) but here, they are merely traditional furnishings that fit in beautifully with the architecture of the casona. The village of Ruente is really charming so if you are into "country walks", there is plenty to satisfy.

Positive: • really clean • nice to walk around • Supermarket in next village (20 minutes walk) • kitchen equipment is ok • WIFI worked well for me but most of the time I was on my own Negative: • Host (Silvia) is really unfriendly and not welcoming at all • You can hear every single word from your neighbor. Really annoying!!! • “Bath” maybe for 5 year olds but that’s not a bath for adults • rooms are very dark because of the tiny windows • bathrooms are really old • don’t go in room number 2 you will have a lot of trouble with the smell I would not come again and can’t recommend to stay here for real holidays. Maybe one or two nights maximum…

This is a beautiful country inn which has been renovated to a very high standard. The attic room we had was warm and cosy and spotlessly clean. Comfy bed and the shower worked perfectly which is always a bonus. Nice continental breakfast too. The owners do not speak English so you might like to learn a few words to help you through check in and breakfast but it's not essential. Only 45-50 minutes drive from Santander if you arrive by ferry, so it is a good place to spend a first night in Spain. Don't rely on satnav to take you to the door, look out for restaurant Paulino on the main road through the town and it is next door.

Beautiful place. The attention was great. We got there really late in the night because of traffic and Conchi, one of the owners was waiting for us with a smile and only kindness. Honestly she and her brother German are genuinely nice people. The apartment was super clean and lot of space, with a full equipment kitchen and everything perfectly clean. With access to a beautiful garden with sea views. 100% recommended. Thanks a lot for everything!!!

As it's located very near the Camino, it was perfectly located for us...parking onsite available, self check-in with code, corona proof! Cosy and clean apartment with all the needed amenities, and fully functional kitchen...good price, good value!
