Located just a short walk away from Hanna Stables is Nabitunich (Mayan for ‘The Stone Cottage’), a series of accommodations for visitors in Belize. There are a series of 10 unique and comfortable cottages, each with two bedrooms that can accommodate single travelers or groups up to four people. There is also a large dining area and veranda, as well as an enclosed indoor studio and large yard spaces, all ideal for hosting large groups of people. The property surrounding the Nabitunich cottages is a working farm with domestic cattle and horses, as well as beautiful wild birds and a host of organically grown fruits and vegetables.

However, here you will find the bestest hosts while staying among nature- a great experience. My group definitely enjoyed here. My friend recommended Nabitunich as she was getting married at this location and we benefitted even more as her wedding guests. Coming from Trinidad and Tobago ??, I didn't prepare for the cold though. All 3 of us felt like we had on the ac on full blast at nights and on mornings when not even the ceiling fan was on. Waking up on mornings in the midst of fog (guessing from the coldness and the constant days of rain) was also quite the experience, I was excited to be in the midst of it. Hahaha. Dominic took care of us from night # 1 until we left. He made sure we got our breakfast and dinner every single day, at very very affordable cost I might say. When we went out and expected to be back late, he made sure to accommodate us no matter the time. He even asked what time we will be back just so we won't have cold food waiting. We got variety: bean dishes which are unique to Belize plus your regular cereal, cheeses, etc. I looked forward to the meals, so much so, I would regularly wonder what we'll be getting for breakfast or dinner. We received quick help if we wanted anything or if anything stopped working. We even got laundry done. We received loads of advice on what to do from Dominic and he was also great company at our table. I felt sorry for him when my aunt was pestering him constantly but he was forever helpful and never looked frustrated. Learnt a lot about Belize from him. Told him to prepare for our bandwagon the next time we're in Belize ? Thank you so much Dominic, my aunt forever talks about you. Keep up the excellent customer service.

And a cheerful person named Dellia who will change your sheets, sweep the floors and do general cleaning to tidy up. She also stands in for Michelo if he and his wife are off the premises.

The Three Iguanas Villa has 5000 sq ft of upscale design. From the unique upscale bathrooms, marvelous mattresses and kitchens in each suite to the roof top plunge pool and dock stretching along a quiet waterway of Placencia Lagoon. The 3 storey villa has a first floor suite (2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, 1 kitchenette) and 3rd floor suite (with kitchenette) available for rent. Also: AC, ceiling fans, cable TV, on-site parking, combination safes and laundry facilities. Guests also have complementary use of kayaks and bicycles. The beach is a 5 minute walk away and all the amenities of Placencia Village can be reached within a 10 minute walk. Three Iguanas Villa has recently (Oct. 2015) been taken over by Dr Annelise Hagan and Doyle Gardiner. Annelise is a coral reef biologist and has worked in marine park management in Placencia since 2010. Doyle is proprietor of DTOURZ and will be delighted to arrange all your terrestrial and marine excursions. Tour bookings can be made in advance should you wish, or once you are here. Annelise and Doyle (and their cats!) live on the second floor of the villa and look forward to welcoming you to Placencia, and to their beautiful home. They will be delighted to assist you in making your stay the best that it can be!
Amazing place to stay and relax
Reviewed By Larita247I stayed with Annelise for two nights and really wished I had more time. The place is absolutely amazing, spotlessly clean, big room and great view from the terrace. I was lucky as I had the top room and the whole place for myself so I basically had a private rooftop pool! Annelise is a great host, gave me a lot of recommendations, helped me find out about the bus and they picked me up and dropped me off in the city. They offer free bike rentals too, which is perfect as you reach the town in 2 minutes - although it is also really quick walking and beach even closer. Perfect spot on the peninsula! Can recommend it 100%!

The people who work at Coral Bay will go so far above and beyond to make your visit great that you'll wonder why they aren't wearing an astronaut helmet lol. They are truly kind and care about giving you the best possible experience. The villas are conveniently local to many restaurants and bars, as well as our favorite grocery store, golf cart rental, and laundry dropoff. The pool and hot tub are fantastic and everyone who experiences them feels like they just can't pull themselves away from that amazing pool. The value for money is great. There is no restaurant on site but we actually like that as it's quieter, and there are so many restaurants so near that there's never a feeling of missing out. We wholeheartedly recommend Coral Bay to folks looking for a safe, clean, happy stay with folks that genuinely care about helping you have the best vacation possible.

The property has everything you could need for your trip and the location is also perfect. Close to the city and just far enough away to feel the quiet of the island. Just loved our stay! Louise is so nice and goes above and beyond to make sure her guests are happy and have a good time. Property is very clean and it's fun to have such a variety of sitting areas. Easy to get to town and all the restaurants. We enjoyed Caye Caulker and Maxhapan Cabanas.

Jonathan is a great host and there when you need him, Very nice and wants to share all he knows about the area. He is also a great boat captain! We had a great stay! We were a large group and rented both floors and everything was perfect about our stay. Also, let them prepare you a meal or three.....best food we had on the Island!

All cabanas have fridge, coffee maker, and ceiling fan. Bikes available. Just a few steps up the beach to restaurants. Five nights stay with three days scuba diving package available. Close to Cockscomb Jaguar Reserve, closest mainland village to Barrier Reef. Located in Garifuna seaside village with easy access to shops. Snorkeling or jungle tours, windsurfing, kayak rentals arranged. Quiet, laid-back atmosphere.

You didn’t pass a soul without a “hello”, “good morning”, “beautiful day”. Dorothy and Jabbar were our hosts at Lebeha Cabanas. You just can’t ask for someone to go over and above more than they do. Right from the start of planning, Dorothy was so helpful with all our newbie questions. She never lost patience with us, giving us many helpful tips along the way. There were a few problems with the water during our stay but nothing that would stop me from visiting again. The large deck facing the sea made up for any kind of bump in the road that we encountered. No A/C, no problem. The breeze you get from the water kept things at the perfect temperature. The beach area is kept clean and raked regularly. We had 2 cabanas rented between 4 friends. All of us had comfortable beds, including the futon in Del Playa, Grocery stores, fantastic restaurants and bars within a close walking distance. Our new friend Barry the guard dog took good care of us during our stay. The only thing that we would have changed would be that we should have rented both the larger cabanas, as they are side by side. We didn't need that much space, but our shenanigans did disturb our neighbors. Just having too much fun!

Ally's Guest House Belize consists of four, fully furnished, basic, self equipped apartments located directly on the water front of the Placencia Lagoon. Three of our apartments have air conditioning and all offer WiFi and Cable TV along with common washing machine and line drying. All our our vacation rentals are fully are equipped with kitchens and all utensils for cooking. All linens are provided along with coffee maker, blenders, etc. We also offer you a large above ground lap pool for relaxation or exercise. Ally's Guest House Belize has the following vacation rentals being a one bedroom studio, a one bedroom proper and our one bedroom efficiency. All with A/C. The 2 bedroom vacation rental is our most private. Perfect for couples who like a bit more privacy and space or couples traveling together. This apartment has no A/C but boasts windows that catch the breeze, along with floor and ceiling fans and is very comfortable during the high season months or for those who dislike A/C. We do have a mobile air cooler (not an A/C) for very warm days or evenings inside. Short or long term bookings accepted. A five night minimum stay is required. We offer you quiet, peaceful and very safe accommodations within walking distance to the village proper. We also offer our guests beach cruisers if need. We have pets that you may encounter from time to time so we ask that you have no allergies and also feel comfortable around animals. If you are looking for a bit of tropical paradise in an easy laid back and friendly environment, you would be wise to choose Ally's Guest House Belize as your tropical home away from home for 5 nights or 30!
Paradise at Ally's Guest House
Reviewed By amtBcMy husband and I spent 2 glorious months at Ally's Guest House in January and February 2018. Lynn and Mark were fantastic hosts and accommodated us in every way. They are friendly and fun people to know. Mark plays in a band so we would go to the bar and watch them play and meet lots of people. We had the 2 bedroom apartment in the back of the Guesthouse. This was really nice because we had lots of private outdoor space with outdoor furniture and a covered patio with table and chairs. There is a pool and a walkway down to the palapa to eat your breakfast at and watch the boats going by and watch the sunset around 5:30. We would go down and play cards with our cocktails and enjoy the view. They also provided 2 kayaks to use on the inlet side of the peninsula, which we really enjoyed seeing the mangroves and sea life form the water level. The inside of the apartment had everything you need for your visit including a small crock pot that was big enough for 2 people to have 2 meals. We would put it on at lunch and go down to the beach for the afternoon and come home, dinner war ready, no cooking in the hot afternoon. The kitchen was supplied with coffee maker, blender, pots, pans, and dishes.It had a full size fridge as well. They also had a washing machine and lines to hang your laundry up to dry. The beds were comfortable and there were 2 stand fans and 3 ceiling fans. The apartment stayed fairly cool because it faced west and there were lots of coconut trees and other trees for shade. The grounds keeper would get coconuts down for us and cut them open, so we had a constant supply of fresh coconut water and coconut meat and starfruit. We were provided with bikes and this was our form of transportation to the grocery store which was a 5 minute ride, the beach, the fruit and veggie stands, or restaurants. Our legs got a good workout and were much stronger when our holiday was over. ally's Guest House in on the north end of the village, which made it close to walk or ride anywhere you want to go. Fairly flat and easy ride anywhere in town. Or you can call a taxi which was $5 US to take you to restaurants at night or any where else. Lynn and Mark were very helpful when we wanted to go touring somewhere by providing us with information and phone numbers for reliable taxi's. We truly enjoyed our time at Ally's Guest House.

Reviewed By Ian MI have just returned from playa Blanca where I stayed at villa Mar Blanca , 3 Calle la Gavetta. I had booked previously via Homeaway but canceled due to covid and the owner suggested I book directly with them the second time . The villa has 4 beds and 4 bathrooms over 3 floors. There is a lovely large patio area off the bedroom on the top floor . It would suit a large family as the basement room is a little dark and has pool table etc more suited to teenagers . We had originally booked for 8 adults but due to covid only 5 traveled and it was plenty big enough and well equipped. If you book for more than 4 people you are charged an additional 15 euro per night per extra person. Whilst we were sent instructions prior we were not met at the villa which I would have liked to explain how everything works and ask any questions. Initially we were not given adequate towels or toilet rolls but this was resolved when we contacted the owner. There was a lovely welcome pack which we appreciated. The pool was lovely but a little small for 8 people. Tje sun beds were old and needed replacement. The villa was nice and clean but we did not have any cleaning done whilst we stayed or replacement of towels. It is a short walk to nearby shops and bars but not suitable for anyone with any walking disabilities. It is about a 30 minute walk into the main town. Didn’t find the owner that helpful when we had a problem setting the alarm as they are not located near to the villa !
