When you think “adventure travel” you probably think of far-flung places like Belize and Alaska—not Wisconsin. But if you’re an outdoor adventurer, you’ll find plenty of places to explore in Wisconsin. A vacation in Wisconsin can put you close to the Kettle Moraine State Forest, which has excellent biking trails. Or choose Wisconsin’s Apostle Islands—kayakers will love exploring Lake Superior’s many caves and shipwrecks. Packers fans don’t wear those cheese-wedge hats for nothing! Foodies will love tasting as many of Wisconsin’s artisanal cheeses as possible. Either drive from cheesemaker to cheesemaker, or choose a Wisconsin vacation in a town with a good farmers’ market—then the cheesemakers bring their wares to you. And what goes better with artisanal cheese than craft beer? In Milwaukee, visit the Lakefront and Sprecher Breweries for tours and tastings.
Wisconsin Dells is a classic family vacation destination. A vacation in Wisconsin Dells will put you close to all the excitement—you’ll have to tear the kids away from the theme parks, wave pools and water parks in Wisconsin Dells! Lake Geneva boasts clean beaches, golf, and a small-town feel that definitely appeals to city dwellers—it’s a popular getaway for residents of Chicago.

Such a beautiful resort with so many amenities! I actually wish we stayed longer to enjoy the ice cream shop! Very easy to get to and staff was very friendly. Bartender was so good! (drinks were perfect)

Set in downtown Madison on the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus, and in close proximity to fine restaurants, clubs and shopping, the Fluno Center provides the ideal location. The Fluno Center serves alumni, those attending University of Wisconsin - Madison related functions, corporate partners, and parents/families of students, and prospective students.
We have stayed at Fluno Center multiple times. Has been nice and rooms were always clean and above average for the price. Only complaint was main entrance drive was hidden away from University Avenue and could be hard to find if new to staying there. Very conviently located. Fluno Has Cookies ?! Breakfast was Mediocre.

Nestled within Sturgeon Bay's downtown Historic district - Inn at Cedar Crossing is the perfect spot from which to explore Door County or just relax and hide away. Our nine inviting guestrooms are individually decorated, have private bathrooms and all the modern conveniences, including wireless internet access. Many feature cozy fireplace. Off season rates from Nov through April.
We enjoyed our stay at the Inn. Deb was so friendly and knowledgeable with the area and directions. Our room was very clean, spacious, with a back porch and a cozy fireplace. The internet speed was great, The restaurant was delicious, had a friendly wait staff, and was reasonably priced. We always got a parking spot and were shocked at how quiet this inn was as it is downtown. All around Awesome! Will be back!!

The Tobacco Warehouse Inn features eco-friendly rooms with Smart TVs, Wi-Fi, full kitchens and baths. The newly constructed suites display elements of the historic building's original features while keeping in mind both the environment and the guest's comfort.
I stayed at Tobacco Warehouse Inn 3/11/22. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. They did such a creative job turning it into an inn. The location is great for a home base in The Driftless area. It was a nice surprise that they gave different Keurig options along with green tea. If I’m ever in the area again I’ll certainly stay here.

this B&B was very very clean, and comfortable. Many extras were present that made my stay great. It was extremely cold this weekend and there was plenty of firewood to keep the woodburning stove going. Breakfast was brought over, and the owners were helpful and willing to meet any needs I had. I look forward to returning!

Brand New TownePlace Suites by Marriott® is an extended-stay hotel where you can balance work and life as you like, with the comfort, flexibility and affordability you require. Relax and feel at home with a fully equipped kitchen and high-speed Internet
This new hotel is very close to many areas of Madison and shopping. You can get to downtown Madison in 15 minutes and yet the hotel is in a quiet business district of Middleton. The staff were more than friendly and accommodated all our needs as we visited family. The hotel has two nice sized outdoor Weber gas grills and they worked great for a picnic dinner. The hotel provides the grill glove, tongs, spices and other needs for the grills. The pool is a steady 86 degrees clean with the salt fileter so not strong chlorine small. It would have been nicer with a spa tub, but the pool was very nice. If you want room cleaning you MUST ask the front desk to clean the room. But even though we did ask for clean towels and cleaning the room, the maid service missed our room. It was fine, but the front desk person did not know how to get all the room towels, etc. so we had to use some pool towels in the room.

This hotel is very new, has a very nice staff, is in a good location, and has nicely designed rooms with everything you could want or need. The TV has vast viewing options, the beds and pillows are very comfortable, the bathroom is modern with excellent water quality/pressure, there is enough storage areas, and the kitchen is comprehensive. The pool and gym looked nice though we never used them. Overall nearly perfect, but then again, nothing is perfect… Our room had a very typical design flaw. The climate system blows directly on the bed. And the worst part is that the system starts up like a jet engine blowing cold air for the first couple of minutes until the heating element warms. I woke a couple of times in the night to the sound of it along with the blast of cold air. If we had stayed a second night I would have moved the sofa in front of the unit. We experienced a similar issue in a newer Marriott SpringHill Suites, so it seems to be a typical design failure in my opinion. The only other slight disappointment was breakfast, but only because my wife prefers cooked items rather than just grab and go type offerings. For me it was fine as I just have cereal normally. Too bad the designers of these newer Marriott suite hotels cannot avoid blasting sleeping guests with cold air, but all in all this is a wonderful hotel that most people will absolutely love!

A casual, personal and comfortable bed and breakfast featuring dramatic views of the St Croix River, 3 course breakfast delivered to your room and simple surroundings located in a cool, little river town about an hour from the Twin Cities.
Our room was spacious and very comfortable. This was a Mother/Daughter weekend and we had a wonderful relaxing time. The bed was comfortable. We enjoyed a facial in the lower level of the house that was very relaxing. Owners were helpful and accommodating - even helped us book "in room" massages. Breakfast was superb! A lovely getaway spot that would be even more beautiful in the warm months.

The Wisconsin Union Hotel at Union South (UW-Madison) offers a warm, inviting oasis of ‘green’ hospitality, welcoming you to one of the nation’s most livable cities with peaceful ambiance, artful decor, and unsurpassed service. This 60-room boutique hotel is sure to please. Set in the heart of a vibrant Madison neighborhood, Union South is a LEED Gold building nestled between Computer Sciences & Statistics and Engineering Hall on the south side of the UW-Madison campus, just across Campus Drive from the Wisconsin Institutes for Discovery.
Below is a letter I wrote to the hotel staff to express my gratitude for our beyond awesome and supreme stay! I wanted to thank you all for the phenomenal stays my family has had recently at your incredible hotel! My husband and I have five children. The oldest just graduated from high school and started as a freshman at University of Wisconsin-Madison this fall. It has been quite a transition, but Wisconsin Union Hotel has become a hub of happiness and a home away from home for us! When we dropped our daughter off at college, we had the shock and pleasure of staying in one of the amazing suites on the Memorial Union property. The stay was unforgettable! We were amazed to find our suite overlooking the Terrace, and we were in awe of all of the stunning special touches in decor, tradition, and uniqueness. Spending the last night with our daughter in that suite will be one of our favorite memories! Since then, we had the pleasure of staying at the Union South property for a few special occasions. We were treated to staying there for a Badger football game, and wow, did that knock our socks off! To be right in the middle of the action with the band playing and the party inside made was as much fun as going to the football game! It was awesome! Most recently, our son's high school football team made it to State. So we again had the luxury and luck to stay at your hotel at Union South. I want to give a special shout out to Ken who was amazing helping with my complicated reservations! He was fantastic! He caught some errors I had made, and he did everything he could to make sure everything was right with the reservations and that I got exactly what my family needed. Additionally, the staff was all wonderful as I called several times to change reservations. The communication of the staff was EXCELLENT! I feel bad that the initial emails were going to my junk mailbox, but I did finally figure that out! I was so impressed with how helpful Ken and the staff were. I feared I was being annoying or bothersome, but Ken and the staff always was very patient with me and never made me feel that way. Instead, they made me feel as if it was a pleasure to be serving me. It was amazing bringing other family members together at your hotel for our son's State experience! It was so fun to watch their awe of the beautiful and spirited decor, the meticulously clean hotel, the kindness of the staff, and the excitement of the location and in the union. Parking, also, was a big plus! Everyone loved how accessible our hotel rooms from the parking ramp even! Also, the staff the night we checked in were incredible! (Ken, again! I know there was another man helping who was just as wonderful!) Our group had trouble with finding rides and had many questions and required quite a bit of help. It truly felt to us that the staff took on our problems with transportation and helped us like it was their own problem. They answered many questions, had wonderful recommendations, and they were on the phone calling taxis and whatnot to help us. We were so grateful for their help. They were patient and kind to us when we were frustrated and stressed. Again, their communication and knowledge were supreme! Thank you, everyone, for giving us a five (HUNDRED!!) star experience every time we come to town! Wisconsin Union Hotel takes the intimidating factor out of being in a different city for us. It is dependable, clean, exciting, beautiful, elegant, modern-yet-full-of-tradition, comfortable, fun, and, more, it feels like HOME. We thank you all of our stellar experiences staying with you! Your hotel is woven so beautifully into all of the fun and special memories we are making with our daughter at college, and our family loves this. You have completely raised the bar for our hotel stay expectations (at other places)! In a world that often seems like no one cares anymore, you make us feel so cared for!! Thank you for hitting it out of the ballpark!
