I spent 2 wonderful nights at the Marie B & B. Thanks so much to GM Emily for paying attention to all of the details including a beautiful bedroom filled with period furnishings, a very comfortable bed with a private bathroom, including a lovely stall shower and a separate claw foot tub (including locally made soaps). I recommend the Walnut suite for singles or couples. My cross country flight arrived several hours before the check in time; I really appreciated Emily's willingness to let me drop my bags off and check in early. Breakfast was homemade and delicious. I am looking forward to returning the next time I'm in Olympia.

Beautiful grounds and amazing staff! Reed helped us with our rental and was exceptionally attentive to all our needs. We were hesitant upon reading some previous reviews but he walked us through the entire process, helped us set up activities for the kids, and made the whole process easy! We will definitely be visiting again.

Super cute hotel - loved the details of the original door knobs and numbers being framed by each door. Great location - nice walk to the market. Yes there is a building being built across the street but the noice is completely out their control. Brad is very helpful with suggesting places to eat. We had a great time!!

Lord Carlton Country Manor House

Unconventional & cozy

Reviewed By heydusti

First — this is not a hotel. You will share a bathroom with other guests. Also, it is not wheelchair accessible. A cash-only establishment with a pretty vast continental breakfast, this place is way more affordable than most lodging on the Peninsula. Our room (The Family Room) was cozy, comfortable, and quite large. The manor is on a forested lot, set back off a country road. It’s a great place to land on a Friday night when you have an early call for hiking on Saturday — check out is 9 am. It was a little strange sharing a bathroom, sure, but it afforded us a good night of sleep within our budget. Would definitely consider staying again!

Quiet and Cozy and Charming

We celebrated my husband's birthday here. The inn exterior is best described as rustic, but don't let that fool you. John's wife has decked out the rooms with charming antiques everywhere you look. The full kitchen has somewhat tired appliances, but everything worked so we created wonderful dinners there. We walked the nearly deserted beach only half a block from our front door, enjoyed sunsets in the tower and just had fun together. It's so much better than Ocean Shores where you can't find the sand for all the people on the beach. And the price makes it a very good value. We'll definitely stay here again on our next visit to the ocean.

Just finished their continental breakfast. They only offer a few items like small small bagels and yogurt. Just enough to get you going in the morning. It's a typical Navy Lodge room that's large with a kitchen and a a couple comfortable beds. The commissary and NEX are right down the hill closeby so that's convenient. I really don't have anything else to say about the place. I'm leaving early. I was only here for a few hours just to get my sleep in and do a load of laundry. I'm back on the road. Good price for a good night sleep.

Cozy vacation spot!

We had a lovely stay at the Wesley. It had a very cozy non-corporate vibe. It was nice to be so close to all of the tasting rooms and restaurants, with parking onsite. (Beware there aren't a lot of Ubers in Walla Walla and renting a car was essential!) We enjoyed the beautiful outdoor space and hot tub as well as the shared kitchenette areas which made having tea or coffee, enjoying wine and saving leftovers easy! Texting the propriertors was the best way to be in commuication for checking in, during our stay and for checkout. The hotel was cute, clean, and a fun place to spend a vacation!

Kate and Sheldon are wonderful hosts! You will be lucky if they can accommodate you.

Visiting Seattle for the first time, we ventured out our "norm" to try FlipKey instead of a hotel. We were delighted with the hospitality and kindness shown by Kate and Sheldon. After texting them that we would not be arriving the night of our reservation due to train problems, we made our way to their home the next morning. Despite awakening them, Kate and Sheldon were welcoming and we enjoyed visiting with them before heading to bed. Upon arising, Kate invited us to their favorite seafood restaurant where we continued learning about them and making new friends. Their home is immaculately kept and the room and bath most comfortable. We hope that you will get to meet them!

Bugs and stained sheets.

Reviewed By NikkieJ222

My room had tiny bugs near the area behind the pillows and behind the headboard. I believe they were carpet beetles. The sheets were stained. The floors in the public main hallways were dirty, and the whole place smelled like old food, like it needed to be aired out. I ended up checking out and went elsewhere. Two stars instead of one because the front desk was understanding.
