I stayed for one night with my 4 young kiddies as we booked Drayton manor for the weekend. I have read previous reviews, people complaining no kettle in the room, you do get complimentary tea & coffee in the games room, and it’s to be expected for the value of the room price. So many b&b nearby but almost double the price. En suite with shower, plenty of big fluffy towels, comfy clean beds, and a tv to entertain the kids. Nice size room, even with 5 of us it was big enough. Lively atmosphere in the pub, great to sit and have a drink while the kids enjoyed a game of pool. Staff friendly. Was worried about the noise when going to bed but couldn’t hear a thing in the room, which wasnt far from the main pub. Can’t comment on the food as we didn’t eat there we got a dominoes as kids wanted that ? lovely little pub and I would go back again with my little tribe. Thank you. Only thing I can comment on is nowhere to hang wet clothes, we had plenty since we went on stormforce 10, kept wet clothes in a bag in the car. There is a Tesco few doors down to grab some essentials.

We stayed overnight but had enough time to look round the area, it is not totally remote but the narrow lanes give it a feel of isolation. We were made very welcome with home made biscuits and tea. The room was clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was full of local produce if not made on site then from a neighbours farm or Mill.

We stayed here for 3 nights as a base for Alton Towers. We have 4 kids so it's usually quite difficult to find accommodation for us all. This place was great. The cottage was like a converted stable from a million years ago so it had a lot of lovely features and nooks and crannies. The kids loved it as did we. The kitchen was fully equiped and beds were comfy. There is a tea room next door, owned by the same people. We had breakfast there once which was great. However as we needed to get to Alton Towers earlier we missed breakfast the other days as they opened after we left. One great part of this was that there was a tastey cake made for us and left in the fridge. we arrived quite late so this was a treat. Although we used it as a base for Alton Towers, it seems like walkers and hikers would make use of this for the location. Views were stunning. We will be back

Booked on booking.com and was told we were staying in a completely different apartment to the one advertised and shown, at 3pm when we about to check in! Had a conversation with the host who was patronising and rude and told us this apartment was only 200m from the one we “thought” we had booked and if we weren’t happy we should just cancel, and any future bookings we had we should cancel too! Excellent customer service skills!!! Gravel driveway was only half a car length so my car was left hanging over the pavement for the duration of the stay! When we mentioned this, we were told maybe it was my “driving skills” that meant I couldn’t park on the driveway! (Pic attached) Opened the front door and straight into the bedroom on a busy noisy road! Cigarette butts all over the entrance right outside the door/bedroom! They ask for a £250 deposit for damages and leaving the “towel rail” on also results in a loss of deposit, I find it quite insulting that whoever cleans here, hasn’t noticed the ashtray outside the door or the fact the “towel rail” is hanging off the wall! The back door opens onto a garden that is shared with people who live next door, which isn’t great as you feel you have no privacy either! The kitchen is ok, quite small and the whole apartment is one long converted “garage” however the nasty drainage smell coming from the cupboard under the sink was NOT ok! The beds were cheap, lumpy and extremely uncomfortable and the bedding was damp like it hadn’t been tumble dried for long enough! The towels were also damp which made the bed even worse as they were left on there for our arrival! The pressure from the shower was no more than a trickle really and turning the shower head to get a stronger flow doesn’t work either! Since we have left we have had our “deposit” back and upon leaving feedback on booking.com have been informed we have been reported to them (for what I’m not sure) and we have also been “banned” from staying there!! Oh no, lol! To be perfectly honest being banned is probably the best case scenario because you do not get what you book and pay for, this apartment/garage isn’t even pictured on the website and now I see why!! My personal recommendation is to book at the nearest premier inn! At least you get what you pay for there! Comfy beds and dry towels.

Me and my fiancee checked into room number 5 of the Fazeley Inn, we noticed the bathroom ceiling had quite a lot of what looked like mould not the best start then the bed headboard fixed to the wall had extra screws sticking out of the wall with ripped wallpaper and a bit of loose plaster also the bed frame was broken down one side that we found out later on when going to bed. The next morning we complained, we were offered a twin room which we decided we did not want to take the chance. As we had pre paid we had to cut our losses as the manager was not authorised to give refunds or compensation. We had to get out of there and find another place to stay at short notice for the rest of the week.

Drove all the way from London and got no answer to our phone calls regarding how to access the property, rang the bell, asked locals for info. All no joy. Drove all the back to London in one day. Dont waste your money on this probable scam
