Welcoming staff, room was spotless and comfortable. The breakfast was well cooked and tasty, evening meals were also good value for money. All in all it was a lovely stay made by caring staff, will definitely visit again.

Quick trip to Exeter to visit family and decided to try the Holiday Inn Express. We had a room on the 4th floor which was lovely and quiet and it was very nice that there were able to put family nearby. The room was clean, bathroom very nice and air conditioning was appreciated. Only minor issue with the room is there is so little space near the window that the person on this side has difficulty getting in and out of bed. Breakfast was much better than expected but I do wish guests were not allowed to eat while wearing pyjamas! A huge thank you to the staff who were all very helpful!

Welcome to Mill on the Exe, on the banks of the River Exe in the cathedral city of Exeter. Newly converted, the original mill house is over 200 years old, and now elegantly combines contemporary styling with character features in a riverside setting close to the centre of Exeter. The 11 luxuriously appointed guest rooms have all the facilities expected by 21st-century customers in a relaxed setting. Spread across four floors, eight rooms have views from the rear of the building across the garden to the River Exe, and three rooms at the front of the building look across the small private car park. Free on-site parking. Free Wi-Fi. 10 minutes' level walk from Exeter St. David's railway station. 10-minute walk to city centre. The Mill on the Exe pub next door serves food all day including breakfast.
We had a great one night stay in Exeter. Perfect location and setting (right on the river), lovely well-appointed, modern and comfortable room - and a superb meal in the really nice restaurant (I had fantastic fish and chips); but as well as all that all the staff were great from the moment we arrived - particularly Harry who looked after us from start to finish. Can only recommend Mill on the Exe in every regard

Nestled between two moors and next door to Launceston castle, the Eagle House Hotel is ideally located for explorers and historians alike. The townhouse is one of a kind; with period features aplenty, a range of bedrooms to suit every budget, a fine dining restaurant and a dramatic backdrop of rolling countryside as far as the eye can see. Our bar and restaurant open daily to guests and the general public from 11am to 11pm .
We met friends here last Sunday for lunch. It’s an impressive old building and is situated up the hill near the castle so it has fabulous views over the surrounding area. The staff were friendly, the food was lovely, and the pricing was reasonable. What more could you ask for!

A boutique Bed and Breakfast one mile north of Avebury Stones. Spacious rooms and bathrooms in a rural setting. Our attached village pub, The New Inn, offers homemade pub classics and weekly specials (Open Thursday to Sunday). We are dog friendly and have a range of accommodation to suit the single traveler, through to our family suite that can sleep up to 5 people. All of our heating, hot water and electricity is generated using carbon neutral methods and we source as much of our food and drink as locally as possible.
Stayed for 2 nights with 2 small dogs. First time the dogs have stayed in a B&B and first time in a bar/restaurant. We and the dogs were very welcome and had a great time. Beds were comfiest we have stayed on in a B&B and bathroom was Hilton quality. Breakfast was amazing, all local produce. Have thought of everything…complimentary soft drinks, goody bag for the road, dog beds for the dogs. Will stay again, thanks!

This was an outstanding experience. Where to start? Breakfast. You will sometimes see people comment on the best breakfast they have tasted. Well, we have had scores, maybe hundreds of breakfasts but never one that came close to this. Worth coming for this alone. The bedroom was beautiful, comfortable and a pleasure to sleep in. The lotions and bathroom soaps were the best in any hotel we have been in. (We are sourcing and buying some). Friendly. Great location on the high street. We did not take a meal but wish we had. (Our bus arrived late on Sunday midday).

The Duchess of Cornwall Inn recently opened in the town of Poundbury, just outside Dorchester, offering a Bar, Restaurant & Bedrooms. Within The Duchess of Cornwall Inn you will find different areas which evoke a country house. The ground floor hosts our Pantry and Bar evoking a casual, drop-in, pot luck ethos, the Dining Room on the second floor focuses on classically simple British food, reliable standard dishes that everyone wants to eat, not an elaborate restaurant. To top it all there are 3 floors of stunning bedrooms, due to open in early December 2016, representing two themes of Georgian England; Gentility (Jane Austen) and Mercantilism (Charles Hall, our founder).
Stayed for 3 nights recently at this impressive looking Inn. It is set within Poundbury, which in itself is a curious and interesting place to visit. Payed for a luxury room. In my mind a room described as one of luxury would fulfil that description by being kitted out in a luxurious way. The room was comfortable and decent but it wasn't luxurious. The bed itself was fairly comfortable. We moved it away from the wall itself as it squeaked fiercely against the wooden board behind it. The arm chairs were fairly comfortable but set at an odd angle under the eaves, which meant that you were in danger of knocking your head every time you stood up from them. The arrangement of chairs, coffee table, desk and freestanding light also meant that it was a tricky negotiation to the bedroom window, although the window was set so high that unless you stood looking out there was no view. For two people for three days there was only just enough storage and it was all based in one wardrobe at one end of the room with a bit of tight squeeze to open the doors and drawers beside the bed. The bathroom appeared spacious but the layout was so strange that only a very small portion of it was used and it didn't feel that spacious in the end. Very sadly there was no window at all in the bathroom. Toiletries were all fine, but again not luxurious. The breakfasts were fantastic and were served in a timely manner. The dining room is really light and airy and a lovely place to eat. We did eat dinner there too and although the food was good, it was desperately slow arriving. The staff were polite and helpful and a credit to the place. There was a nice friendly atmosphere and I think this place could be outstanding with a few small tweaks here and there.
