Encompassing two of the Netherlands’ three largest cities (Rotterdam and The Hague), Zuid-Holland (South Holland) is also home to important towns like Leiden, Gouda and Delft. And many lovely smaller towns dot the gorgeous green landscape. Alphen aan den Rijn has several interesting attractions, including Dutch history theme park Archeon. Picturesque Kinderdijk, birthplace of the legend of the Cat and the Cradle, also has many windmills that together are a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

We stayed in the hotel for two nights at the streetside (canals). The windows are very old and we could here even just people talking on the street. The rain shower head wasnt plugged in, which was weird. Like it was there ‘just for show’? There was however good service, a large hotelroom, good breakfast and it was located close to all things to see/do in Delft. Overall would recommend but would take a room on the other side and take my earplugs just in case…

A great location and really great reception staff at all times...so helpful. Disappointed by cleanliness of our room so house keeping need to check the kitchen area more. Used the laundry for the 1st time and really pleased with it...just one euro for washing powder.

We love hostels because of their communal feel and hotels because of their privacy. At CityHub, we combined the two: more than enough ways to mingle AND your very own, private cabin. We call those cabins Hubs.
An interesting place, one could almost envisage space travel to be like this: the rooms are really 2 opposite hubs with separate entrance doors on opposite sides. In effect your neighbours are sleeping below or above you, depending on their choice of hub. The staff are lovely, very helpful but also very young. This is a place for young, limber, tech savvy 20 to 30 somethings, not for the older, weary boned. That was my own fault, I chose the cheapest option without checking the place out. The facilities are OK, the nice thing is you can bring in whatever you want and consume it wherever, there is no restaurant and whatever bar there is is self service, if there is licenced staff that is, otherwise it stays shut, but there is a communal area where teas and coffees from the vending machines can be consumed. The toilet and washing facilities are not en-suite, which means they are all heavily used, especially during a weekend like the one just gone when it is very busy and the place is full. In that respect they are fairly clean but I expected multiple cleans a day due to usage, and that did not happen A big plus of course was the geographical location, at the beginning of De Witte de Wit straat in the centre of Rotterdam. Incredibly busy part of the city, and yet no problems with noise inside In summary, a nice place if you are looking for a bed only, in between pub visits, and are not too fussed about creature comforts

This unique Boutique Hotel is located in a beautiful monumental building (1701) in a luxury shopping area of The Haque city centre. Just a few steps to the working palace of King Wiilem Alexander. Several musea at walking distance, the beautiful cost of Scheveningen reachable in 10 min. Everything for your unique and comfortable stay to discover beautiful The Hague and surroundings. We are looking forward to welcome you!
This hotel is stunning, the decor is exquisite and our downstairs room perfect for my mum. Amazing bathroom! Breakfast was outstanding - eggs, pancakes and fresh coffee. The staff were lovely, especially the owner who was super helpful. The parking was a little stressful but fine once I was used to it. The only down side was being right next door to a pub (I hadn't realised when I booked) our window faced the pub garden which was quite noisy at night. Also there was a lack of storage space or anywhere to hang stuff up. But a lovely place and well worth a visit.

we booked a room for us 2 (for 2 nights) on tripadvisor. We had to pay 150 € therefor. When arriving, it seemed that our booking wasn't received. After finding it back, the owner was surprised that we should stay 2 nights. It seemed to be a problem for the second night. The owner shown a second room that was free for the 2 next nights. This room was in a part of the house that was still in construction. Despite that, the toilet and shower were directly in the room, there was a double bed in place of 2 single beds, ... The owner asked us to cancel our booking on tripadvisor before getting another room that the one we booked (the aim was, of course, for him to save tripadvisor's commission). Only when everything was done, and despite he saved tripadvisor's commission, the owner mentioned that the price of the second room was more expensive ... :-( (180 € for the 2 nights, including breakfast). The breakfast was planned at 9. The next day, at 9.30, after waiting alone in the kitchen for 1/2 hour, we tryied to call the owner on WhatsApp, without any success. We finally went to the town to have a breakfast :-( When waiting in the kitchen, we saw the price of one breakfast was written: 12 €. The price for our 2 breakfast during 2 days was so 48 €, which is very high. On this day, because we were "not very happy with the first breakfast of the B&B" and because of its very high price, we also cancelled the breakfast of the second day. When leaving, the owner asked ... 170 € !! 10 € less than the 2 nights with breakfast ... :-( Dodrecht is a very beautiful town where we had lot of fun. It was a very nice trip, except for the B&B where we will never go back. Sebastiaan, managing a B&B alone seemed to be very difficult for you. The other good feedback you received previously let us hope it is only bad days for you now. Concerning our stay in you B&B, We are sorry to only keep as memory no sense of professionalism, and no honesty. Some other things you also could improve: - when a room is not ready, ask for 5 extra minutes, don't ask your customer to make the bed . - placing something to hook the clothes in the "zolder kamer" should also be a good improvement. (those things should have stood funny, if we hadn't so bad experience later ...) I place a 2/5 feedback, only for the good location of your B&B in the town. Olivier and Virginie

Always a pleasure to stay here but the loss of the previous parking facility probably will prevent us from returning. The staff were friendly and helpful as always but now the bank car park has been withdrawn as a facility it makes it difficult. The hotel recommended the station car park but it was always full during our 5 day stay! Also dinner options are limited if you do not want a 3 course set meal.

Make yourself at home in an icon of modern architecture. Within the spectacular De Passage building, Cove - Centrum is in the very heart of The Hague’s shopping district. Inside, soulful and individually designed studios give you the space to live and work, with a comfortable lounge and co-working area to enjoy too. YOUR NEIGHBOURHOOD: GROTE MARKSTRAAT Old meets new in this bustling shopping district. Inside, the spectacular nineteenth century Passage arcade houses shops and boutiques, while the charming Grote Markt at the end of the street is home to cafes and a winter market. The Museum Quarter is just around the corner, too - admire works by Escher and Rembrandt, or soak up the city’s rich history. If you’re staying in warmer months, the city’s popular beach is a short bike ride away.
Perfect location, very central. Excellent room. Very well designed with small kitchen as an added bonus. Comfortable bed and great bathroom with large walk in shower. Peaceful lobby, professional and friendly staff, with added bonus of free coffee 24/7. Already recommended to friends and colleagues and will definitely be back!

Potentially a great place but currently with many problems, some of which could be dangerous for guests. I suspect the owners once bought a lovely boat but have since skimped on maintenance. First, the good things, the boat is spacious, colourful, and in a great location in the centre of town. It is quite well equipped, with most of what you need. The heating is good and the decor is fun. If maintenance and safety issues had been OK we would have loved it. But it does seem that the owners are not concerned with providing a good quality and more importantly SAFE place for their guests. Because these were such serious problems I have given it only one star. Here are some of the problems and I have illustrated them with photos. First, safety, second maintenance, third payment issues. Safety issues were very concerning. The entrance from outside is via a hatch about 1.5 metres tall which leads down a steep freestanding ladder with no hand rail (see my photo). To reach the hatch you walk around a narrow ledge outside the boat, with a handrail that is not suitable for small kids to hold. Then you must get your suitcases down this ladder and also yourself and your little ones down this 2 metre tall ladder. OK, it is a boat, I understand this, we have a boat of our own. But it is no longer an operational boat and it is now in fact an apartment. So why not fit proper safety rails to make this apartment safe? Why risk elderly people or children injuring themselves falling more than their own height? And why no warnings on the listing that this is not necessarily suitable for old or young, specially in wet slippery or icy weather? Equally dangerous is that the maximum water temperature is scalding hot, we couldn't find a way to adjust it. Twice in the shower I hit the taps with my back, the taps are loose and when they turned the water immediately became scalding. I nearly slipped trying to escape from being badly burned. Again, dangerous for the elderly who might be accidentally clumsy, or for kids who can be careless. Again, no warnings on the website. I don't know what the rules are for holiday apartments in HOlland but I don't think the owners have done the work to make this a safe apartment. There were many cleaning and maintenance issues, some of which are illustrated in my photos. The roof leaked, the microwave didn't work, the mini-oven was dirty, so was the griller, about 1/3 of the lightbulbs didn't work, there were old used tea lights and light bulbs were not replaced so it was very dark in places. Other guests half eaten packs of food and clothes were not removed, (I found someone else's underpants in the chest in my room!) The laminated floors were peeling, the macerating toilets smelt bad and there was no ventilation in the toilets, the seat didn't fit in one of the toilets, the radiator was rusty, the toilet washbasin tap was faulty. There were no instructions for the TV (or anything else) we could only get 4 Dutch channels. Three, the issue of payment was a problem. They sent a letter some time ago saying they did not take cards, which I admit I had forgotten. But their current listing STILL says they take cards, just like it did when we booked, and the invoice we just received also says they take cards. We had to draw out nearly 300 euros extra per day in a foreign country. Bank surcharges are large and the exchange rate is always poor on credit cards. I know it puts customers off if they have to pay in cash but if the owners choose that then they must not send invoices and keep a listing going which says the opposite. This will continue to mislead customers. Despite its many charms it seems the owners don't much care what kind of experience their guests have and will even risk their comfort and safety. It leaves a nasty taste. It is such a shame, because this boat could potentially be lovely. But I wouldn't want to hire it again.
