This place was absolutely horrible. We checked in and checked out within the hour. The room was bare. Nothing but a bed, dresser and night tables. The balcony had those cheap plastic chairs. I first tried to change rooms but every room was basically the same. The place is worn out and shabby, paint peeling, anti-slip strips at the pool were peeling, the gazebo was falling apart, A/C only in the rooms and calling it A/C was being kind. Wi-Fi with one bar in the rooms.I could go on..the only bright spots in this tedious and stressing situation were Luis at the front desk and Maria who, I assumed, was in housekeeping. They tried hard to make us happy, but there was no way I could allow this place to ruin another amazing trip to Costa Rica. We moved .3 miles to Margaritaville where we are now. I’ve never done this before. Never had to, but so happy we left the place. If they want to attract international travelers, they need to give this place a serious facelift.

A picture is worth a thousand words. I have nothing good to say about this business. If you want to be treated well, if you want good food, if you want to get what you’ve paid for, stay far away from here.

Nosara Sunrise Bed and Breakfast is located in Nosara, 8 minutes drive from Guiones Beach and 3 minutes drive from Pelada Beach. It has an outdoor pool and free WiFi access. The property has a rustic style featuring wooden furniture, open terraces with wooden-beamed ceilings and surrounded by the nature. The rooms will provide you with air conditioning and a balcony. The private bathrooms come with a bath or shower. Guests will be able to enjoy the stunning mountain views from the rooms and terraces. Restaurants, Coffee Shops and ATM's can be found within 1km. An array of activities can be enjoyed on site or in the surroundings, including horse riding, surfing, fishing and Zip Lining. The property offers free parking. We are 5 kms from the Nosara Airport and the Liberia International airport is only about a 2 hours drive.
This property is not accessible with a regular car and they do not advertise this. When I found out that you need a Four Wheel Drive vehicle to get there, I tried to cancel but they wouldn’t let me and they then charged my card for the full amount despite having a cancellation policy. Dishonest and misleading. Beware.

We stayed in Aqua House. Oasis is a small group of 6 small houses. Philippe and Juliana were very pleasant and always attentive. Aqua House is a studio style house at Oasis. As it was all we required, it was very comfortable and clean. The ceiling fans were all we needed to stay cool. It has everything you need to have a pleasurable experience. Did I mention the hosts were terrific? There is a hammock, comfortable chairs and small tables outside that are covered perfect for relaxing in the shade or during a rainy afternoon. We will be back.

We had a two bedroom villa for four weeks and had a very pleasant experience. A couple of minor issues were quickly resolved. The regular maid service was an unexpected bonus. The pool is gorgeous and always clean, and the tropical grounds are kept in great shape. There are a few good restaurants very close, as well as a few grocery stores nearby. The beach is just across the street. There isn't a lot to do in this area, but we had a car for our stay, so we were able to visit other areas on day trips. If you want a quiet, relaxing holiday, this is the place.

What an oasis’s of calm in a very busy and touristy town. Just a short walk to the huge beach, yes even I made it ok. Great amenities pool, bar and a very good supermarket and laundry apposite. Reception staff very helpful. A plug for the sink would be nice to save water. The paper not in the toilet thing, because of the plumbing, maybe they should install bidet’s. In every hotel breakfast menu was Fruit followed by. American or Local. Always the same. American, two thin strips of bacon cooked too death and fried or scrambled eggs with toast. Local, rice, black, beans. & salad. Got very monotonous for 14 days. Top of the beams in the bar lounging area could do with a dusting. On reflection Tamarindo probably more suitable for the under 40s. Entrance gate locked at night with security guard in attendance.

he Nosara Beach Hotel is the most recognizable landmark perched on a naturally exquisite point between the world-class beaches of Playa Guiones and Playa Pelada on the Pacific Ocean since 1977. Part of the local history as the very first hotel in Nosara, now restored to its original grandiose with whimsical architectural lines and eclectic flavors.
We traveled to Nosara for our honeymoon and stayed at the Nosara Beach Hotel. We rented a car and drove from Liberia airport - I highly recommend renting an SUV as many of the the dirt roads to get there are bumpy. Daniel was super accommodating and helped us with directions before arriving, and made sure we were well taken care of the rest of the trip. The bar and restaurant staff were excellent as well and went out of their way to get us anything we needed. The breakfasts were consistently delicious and we loved the variety of fresh juices each morning. Nosara Beach Hotel is steps away from the beach and has beautiful views of the ocean and sunsets. We walked down to La Luna for dinner multiple nights, which is just a short walk down the road. There’s a walking path that will take you to Playa Guiones where there are more bars, restaurants and shops, though it’s a very dark walk at night and I would recommend using only during the day. We loved how laid back Nosara was and how peaceful and relaxing our stay was at Nosara Beach Hotel. Would recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing and romantic vacation spot.

At Toucan Lane, you will find suites with personality and a relaxing atmosphere to enjoy. The affordable luxury you have been searching for! You will also find relaxed dining with spectacular views and the true nature scenery that Costa Rica is known for. Enjoy a cocktail poolside, or just relax with a good book. The options are limitless.
Simon and JoAnne were such warm and welcoming hosts who made us feel right at home. The property is so beautiful and artsy with its colorful murals and artwork. We stayed at the Jungle Suite and was impressed with the most breathtaking vista of the jungle and the lake. It was nesting season for the oropendolas and it was amazing to see the birds flying back and forth protecting their nests. Waking up to birds chirping and calling was quite the experience I will always remember. Definitely, a must when in Nuevo Arenal. I am most certainly going to stay in Toucan Lane when in Costa Rica.
