As this is the only proper resort in Peleliu, we decided to stay here. The bungalows are clean and spacious enough for all the diving gear. But.... Let's begin with the food: this was not bad, but too small portions, very limited breakfasts options ( Everyday the same jam, one egg and 2 toasts). We had to beg for some more food, same for lunch. Drinks are to expensive (3 USD for instant coffee,...). We didn't feel welcome at all as a guest The owners are barely present at there resort and use there staff as messengers. They literally told us that the resort is way to easy to find for tourists... It feels like they just keep the place running to get some money instead of giving your customers there time of there life! If this wasn't unpleasent enough, with the checkout, they even scammed us for 100$. Telling us that we counted 100$ wrong, while the bills where all 20 and we counted it 4 times our selves. We are 200% sure that the amount was correct. Diving: make sure you pick the right season. They get rid of to easily, not go diving or repeatedly (4 times) go to the exact same shallow diving spot. In a summary: this place is not worth its money.

It's a fifteen minute walk to the edge of Koror 'town' where there's a decent selection of eateries and shops. More on that later. For $80 a night you get a reaonably comfortable, fairly clean room with two double beds, aircon and synthetic pillows, and a wet room / shower. Clean towels every day. For WiFi you need to buy one of the Island $3 for two days WiFi pass cards, they work really well, almost everyhwere. the rooms have a small balcony. The breakfast is not exactly to die for, it's toast, one fried egg, fried sliced packet ham, some colourful cereals and reconstituted powder orange juice, plus a bit of salad if you feel the need. They ran out of tea bags..... but the coffee was OK For evening meals a lot of the restaurants have a really good collection and drop off service to save the hike into town. There are a few local amenity shops in walking distance for odds and sods.

Airai Ocean View Lodge is an attached accommodation at the reception center and dock for Ngellil Nature Island Resort . These facilities are located by KB bridge, one of the best spot in the city area for enjoying the sunset. It is also very convenient to get here either from the airport or downtown Koror. The rooms offer an amazing view of the sea, as well as the restaurant downstairs, which boasts an international menu. The open bar/restaurant faces the sea, and guests can enjoy the breeze and starry/moonlit nights, along with their meals/drinks.

Excellent staff: engaging & accomodating. Breakfast was on a smaller side but I didn't mind that. The hotel needs some fresh paint and a new carpet. Some minor renovation won't heard either. Parts of the wall in my room were painted with a different shade of color and were visable. My room had this musty smell but it could be due to the high humidity of the island. This hotel caters to Chinese, therefore you will not find any instructions in English. No English TV channels. Even a remote was in Chinese. The hotel itself is located on the second floor of a mini strip mall with stores and restaurants on the first floor. The entrance to the hotel was unremarkable to say at least. At the beginning, I though I booked a room at a love (by hour) motel. It would be advisable that the hotel invest in a proper sign. The building looked worn down as well. Nevertheless, the hotel provides value for your money as hotels in Palau are expensive. I will return.
