LOCATION & ATTRACTIONS NEARBY *** Located in the main part of Lumbini town, just few steps away from one of the gate to get to the Maya Devi Temple and Old Shakya Temple. It’s literally few minutes away, walking. After that, I recommend to negotiate an auto-rikshaw (they have electric ones now) to see all other temples and the World Peace Pagoda (distances are huge, so this is very efficient way to do it), it’s not expensive and definitely more comfortable. Also, if you’re travelling by bus, they will be probably stopping somewhere in the area. There are some food and souvenir shops just 2 min away from the hotel. HOTEL OVERVIEW *** It is quite basic hotel, not very pretty (like most buildings in Lumbini), built in a bit chaotic style (outside). If you’re travelling by car, you can leave it in front of the hotel or in the secured place behind the hotel (behind the gate). PURPOSE OF THIS TRIP *** Leisure RESERVATION *** Via ebookers.ie (expedia) as they offered the best pre-paid rates. LENGTH OF MY STAY *** 1 night – Mar 2019 CHECK-IN *** We arrived in the early evening after long and tired full journey from Kathmandu (I was driving myself). The amount of dust we consumed on the way was unbelievable. So what we needed, was a quick check-in and shower. We’ve been accommodated immediately and helped with our luggage. Rooms were allocated as requested as we’re travelling with friends. Check-in was quick and hassle-free. We’ve been advised of the meal options and what / when / where to go the next day. I also requested if they have somebody to help with the car wash (yes, unusual request, but my car was actually covered in 1 cm layer of dust) and they helped with it (of course I paid for it as intended). LOBBY & RECEPTION *** Small reception where you can also get some drinks. There’s restaurant attached to it where we decided to have our dinner. Menu was quite simple, but good choice and food was delicious. We were very happy with this choice. ROOM *** Standard Rooms #203 & #202 were allocated for us. Rooms were quite small and basic, but this is exactly what I paid for. I have to admit, the price we paid was silly low, so I wasn’t expecting any luxurious. Room was clean and fresh, with two beds (quite hard mattress’). Air-conditioner unit was quite noisy, but the fan was absolutely fine most of the time. There was small wardrobe, mirrors and coffee/tea making kit. Complimentary 2 bottles of water were also provided. As I said, nothing special (this is not a luxury hotel), but more than I expected and paid for. BATHROOM *** Similar to the room, standard, but clean. Some soap was provided, but you may consider having your own toiletries. BREAKFAST *** We paid for the breakfast in the hotel and this was very good idea. The selection was enough and same as dinner, quite tasty. Definitely recommend doing it instead of walking around and trying to find something else. No point of wasting your time. INTERNET ACCESS *** Wi-Fi was free of charge, easy to access and signal was very strong. CHECK-OUT EXPERIENCE *** We checked-out in the morning after breakfast, left our luggage and also left our car for few hours until we’re back from our sightseeing. All bill was paid (by card) and all was smooth and hassle-free. The only negative comment I have with the check-out… As we’re going to depart, I could not find my action camera (which I use also as on board car camera). After few minutes searching the guy from reception came back with the device. It was found when cleaning the room. I was glad for it, but… if I didn’t search for it, probably I would not be told that this was found in the room (and I know because the camera recorded everything…). I deleted it already, but just for the future guys… STAFF *** Very helpful and quick. I really appreciated quick check-in, communication before arrival, room allocation, help with the car wash. OVERVIEW *** This is a good 3* hotel. Price is very low and definitely worth it. Hotel was actually better than I expected. I’m giving score 4/5, but this is not a four star hotel – this place is BASIC. Would I stay there again? Yes.

I had a Nepali Thali Set . It was served hot and especially Pulao was so well cooked in Ghee that it smells so vivid and strong. Food and beverage staffs should be well known about items listed in menu and it's ingredients.

I didn't stay in the lodge but I happened to come across the owner and had a tour to maya devi with him. He really cares about making the visitors understand the history of the place and why it's important for Buddhism. He is also very nice and helps out to organise anything you need. Totally worth the visit and specially the tour.

This hotel is front of a large playground called Tudikel.I visited by using only meals. The restaurant is on 2nd floor same to the reception. If you go up to the rooftop, you can look up at the whole town of Tansen and think that it is a good view, so please ask the staff. Here I always eat only Vege Dalbhat. In Nepal, many people say ``Dalbert is something to eat at home '', and the stronger the tendency you go to the countryside, so there are many diner offer or do not offer simple and un-delisious Dalbhat .The Dalbert here is tasty, not very expensive for a hotel (Vege Dalbhat Rs.270 )

A newly established hotel in lumbini with spacious fully air conditioned room with tv and a friendly environment.

After staying somewhere else in lumbini and not having a good experience I arrived at this guesthouse tired and weary. The manager was kind and helpful and showed us straight to our room which was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. The staff are more than happy to help with any requests you have and even managed to get a load of washing done and folded and back in my room in a few hours. This guesthouse is peaceful and has a monastery in the grounds which you can also look around. I would definitely recommend ?

Bref. A FUIR EN TOUS POINTS.
