This is a very special place, very close to the Brive Airport, and perfect if you have had a long day and need a great night's rest before you continue your travels to the Dordogne. The rooms are very simple and the bed may be the best I have ever had in in 50 years of traveling. The food is especially good. The owner offered to prepare whatever we wanted from anywhere on the menu. The price is very good and the care, good will and love of the proprietor infects the food, which is simply wonderful. After dinner a shower in a very nice modern bathroom. and then perfect sleep, on the perfect mattress, with open shuttered windows that, in the morning, overlook a sunrise framed by a beautiful agrarian view. If you are passing through, at least stop and eat. If you, spend the night. The travel gods will smile on you. This little B&B/restaurant is a treat.

A spotlessly clean, spacious and comfortable room with everything we needed only 5 mins walk from the center of the village. A bit difficult to find with the directions received from the local tourist information office but Monique walked down into the village to guide us there. Heated swimming pool and shared dining room with every facility. Washing machine, fridge/freezer, cooker, microwave, dishwasher etc. Monique our host could not have been more helpful and provided a great breakfast. Beautiful garden with views over the village rooftops and outside seating and relaxing areas. Thank you Monique for a memorable nights stay in a most beautiful spot. We particularly enjoyed our leisurely walk around the village and down to the river before leaving in the morning.

We returned hoping that it would be as good as last year. Things can change, but although there were a few minor differences, it still is a good place to stay. Clean comfortable bedroom, and very welcoming hosts. For a family to run a business is hard work, but this one does it with a smile on their face.

Noëla and Patrick were delightful hosts and made us feel very welcome in their beautiful home. Indeed, nothing was too much trouble. Although we only enjoyed a short stay, we found the gardens a tranquil space to unwind. Our room (Paul Verlaine) was spacious, comfortable and tastefully decorated. Guests also have the use of a large lounge with a character fireplace - delightful! Refreshments and a refrigerator are also available. The perfect place for a romantic holiday. We were particularly impressed with Patrick's home-grown vegetables and Noëla's divine homemade jams so will definitely book the Table d’Hôte when we return.

I have stayed at this gorgeous property three times over the last 2 years. I was house hunting, and on my own. The owners, Sally and Paul have done an outstanding job of renovating, and creating a peaceful haven in this historic property. All of the rooms are of a high standard, with luxury furnishings, my favourite is the blue room. Breakfast is a wonderful, relaxed time with plenty of options including fresh fruit, pastries, yoghurt, sliced meat and cheese, and the best baguettes ever! Paul goes daily to collect from the local boulangerie. Sally is only to happy to recommend a spot for dinner, and call to reserve for you if you worry about your French. Also the guest's kitchenette may be a great option too, if you want to heat some soup and toast after a big day exploring. The local supermarche has a wonderful variety of French food that we tourists can't get enough of, so having a perfect set up to eat at your lodging is a real treat, with all crockery and cutlery supplied. I cannot wait to get back to those views, and the wonderful hospitality of Le Prersbytere.

The property is beautifully furnished and equipped and the host James an absolute delight. A wonderful large garden for our dog Marley to play in which was fenced all round. The kitchen is excellent if you wish to self cater as opposed to eating out. We could not have wished for a better place to spend our short holiday in lovely Gourdon
