Reviewed By Yvonne NThe hotel is beautiful and fantastic,. We were there from the 21st April for 2 nights. Staff there are helpful and welcoming. The location is good as it is a walking distance from beach and the famous Santa Maria . We will definitely be returning back .

Tranquil hotel with sufficient facilities
Reviewed By jazzsteningSelf catered room was clean and tidy. It did lack in some items such as chopping board, sharp knives and cleaning equipment. Staff were friendly and helpful. Facilities were limited with only one restaurant, supermarket and pool bar. Restaurant had nice food but limited choice and over priced. The supermarket was small and expensive but similar priced to supermarkets in the local town. The pool was beautiful and plenty of sun loungers available as well as by the beach. The beach was a 10 minute walk away but a shuttle bus was provided. Stayed in January and the hotel was mostly empty but it meant it was nice and quiet and we had a lovely stay.

Reviewed By Dejan32Nice, big appartment. It is ok, maybe some little improvements, and it would be perfect - just not forget, this is Africa. It is not 4-5 star hotel. Space is big, kitchen is ok for basic preparation of food, but there are also a couple of restaurants nearby, that are not expensive. You have two bedrooms - the beds are kinda squechy, but ok :) Good wifi, great host. He welcomed us first day, and explained everything. Was also available later for questions. Just have in mind, there is no AC (at least it was not in our appartment). It is not so bad, because it is windy island - we were there in July, and it was ok without AC. Location is nice, just 2 min to the closest beach, and cca 5-10 min walk to the main beach. You have included free breakfast in the restaurant nearby! Recommended.

Reviewed By soehailI have been in Santa Maria as a solo traveller, and wanted to have an central location, that was not in resort so i can enjoy my time the mostly. I like this place, as its like an small little boutique hotel, that is very small and newly refurbished. What i like, is the nice wallpaper, and the incredibly grande bathrooms, and the bed was also very good! The breakfast was an mix of cakes, and some sort of bread, with some jars of Nutella and Jam, that was basic but alright. For 45/Eur/night, i would stay! The only thing that you have to check, is that the city location is quite lively and thus perhaps you need some earplugs (that you have to buy before going to Santa Maria, i havent found them anywhere)

Amazing holiday
Reviewed By AJW6012WOW... my husband and I have just returned from spending a week at this fabulous hotel. We loved it so much we have booked again for January and March next year. The food, sundowners and entertainment was amazing. Yes it does cater for the German market but it could not have been friendlier. It was very classy, everybody was so polite and absolutely no drunken behaviour. The focus was on sports and fitness with an amazing well being food station. Thank you Peggy and team for a great holiday. Are there any negatives? none that we could think of but we didn't want a commercialised touristy area with lots of sports bars and fast food.
