Wandering the narrow caruggi alleyways of Genoa is a bit like solving a medieval labyrinth. In the heart of the Italian port city lies Piazza de Ferrari, a main square with a beautiful fountain and a perimeter lined with historic buildings, including the Palace of the Doges the Teatro Carlo Felice, which was destroyed during WWII and subsequently rebuilt. The seaside neighborhood of Boccadasse is vision of pink and yellow buildings that brighten up this lovely fishing village.

The B&B Hotel Genova is in the city center of Genova in front of the central station.
We were once again back to staying a couple of more nights at this hotel, which is conveniently situated right across the piazza from the Principe train station. This time we stepped into our room only to find there was some maintenance work apparently in progress with some unfinished walls and door trim. We brought to the front desk staff’s attention and she immediately started working on resolving the situation, provided us with a larger, upgraded room and complimentary breakfast vouchers. We had a pair of comfortable nights stay. Kudos to the front desk lady, Grazie Mille!

Great position because it's in the centre of the city and the palace is pretty. The room was small, essential with tv, wifi and a small fridge but too close to the reception. I booked the breakfast that wasn't available and I was refunded. The bad surprice was the private beach. I booked because the beach Bagni Italia has an agreement with the hotel. Before arriving in the city I asked if I had to book for it and the hotel told me I hadn't. When I arrived to the beach for enjoying the day, they told me it was complete and I couldn't go. Really bad for tourists! They should organize better and communicate much more.

Surprised and disappointed in U Genova. We stayed there the last week in May 2022. The apartments were not as clean as other reviews indicated, plus we did not get the washer in one of the apartments as promised. There was 7 of us (family vacation) and we were really counting on having a washer in one apartment. Unfortunately, they only had one washer in one apartment and they rented it to someone else. We also had to almost beg them to turn on the air conditioner. They finally turned it on after two days, but then turned it back off two days before we left. We were there for 10 days. They were supposed to change sheets and towels every other day, but we came back from a two day side trip to Rome, the sheets had not been changed and there were no towels in the bathroom. All I can say is, beware.

Very nice location a bit outside of Genoa but with a stunning view. The rooms are clean and spacious. The breakfast is just georgous. Andrea is a perfect host, very friendly, helpful and he can give you many good information. The way up to the hill is narrow and maybe not for everybody.

I thought it would be a good solution since we landed around 11 pm but this place is hard to find since it is on a pedestrian street, which has about 4 buildings with the same number. The navigation system was confused and were it not for a kind Genovese guy called Matteo, we would have spent all night looking for it. The room is very basic with a shared bathroom. All in all, hardly the most comfortable solution.

My room was huge with a great stucco ceiling. The walls are pretty thin, so there isn't much privacy. The hotel was hard to find initially, so I had to phone the reception and get someone to come out into the steet to meet me (there are 2 buildings with the same number on the facade in that street, and I happened to pick the wrong one). The young man at the front desk when I arrived was really friendly and helpful. A female, I tried to get to book me a taxi to the airport early the next morning, not so much.
