Reviewed By KhunKruThe best thing about Sun Rice hotel is Jeff and his family. From the moment we booked he took care of us. He is a leader in the community and knows all the best places and routes. His English is fluent and he's a great tour guide. Very adaptable and sensitive to the needs of his guests. You will experience Ruteng in a special way. His wife is a great cook and his Homestay is clean and comfortable. Make sure you take the Sun Rice sunrise walk and have Jeff take you to the best bakso restaurant! Also the waterfall trek is amazing. We got to sit in for his church choir practice and met many of his extended family. We didn't just visit Ruteng, we made new good friends there.

Lovely owner and great value

As soon as we arrived she asked what our plans were and helped us in getting it all organised, she also organised airport pick up from Ende and helped us book a car to take us to Bajawa after our stay. The fruit pancake for breakfast was delicious. The room itself is very basic but clean enough and the bed is comfortable. We unfortunately didn’t get to see a sunrise at Kelimutu as it was a little cloudy but that didn’t make it any less majestic, well worth the trip. Moni itself is very small with just a couple of restaurants, but we got a motor bike (also organised through the owner) and there are lots of gorgeous places to drive to.

Reviewed By GastonH93Decent clean rooms with a toilet seperated from the shower. Bed comes with a mosquito net. Breakfast consists of pancakes and fresh fruit. The best thing is you can walk in 5 minutes to the airport and catch your flight.

Reviewed By Wintermadness666Very isolated hotel, nothing around to eat, drink or kill time. Staffs are poor at English, food menu is boring and not worth money. Overall it will be very boring if you stay here unprepared because you will mostly on your own

Dirty room
Reviewed By laurawfWe were supposed to stay in another hotel in the area, but it was booked. We checked in and the room was dirty, and there was blood and hair in our sheets. We left the motel and found another place to stay.
