We stayed two nights in the 'deluxe room'.. AC was nice, room was clean but the bed was rock hard and so uncomfortable. Staff we're friendly but extremely slow/unresponsive- sometimes we ordered things that never came! The fried whole fish was delicious.

This place was simple and just basic ,just what you would expect on a 1 star village motel. Though nothing was working ,from the tv to the telephone. The place does not have a restaurant not a kitchen and they can not organize for food . They give you those 0.1 dollar soap that you can not even hold .The mosquitos here will feast on you like dinner . If you think you will stay and pay your bills on check out just like normal hotel ,be aware they will lock you in the room and call the police on you without notice ,they did this to us!! We planned to stay for 15 days ,on 4 th day they lock us inn and called the police on us !! Would not recommend this place to anyone !!!

We were in this place for 5 days. The location for this hostel was good for us because your daughter lives nearby. It was easy to take a bodaboda to the city center. 5 minutes. Beds was ok. We could turn on the heater for hot water. Breakfast was omelette, bread, fruit and coffee/tea. Good! This is not a luxury hotel, but good and clean. It is not air conditioning but you can sometimes borrow a fan.

Early last year I was fortuned to visit this establishment and even when it was on a short notice, I was lucky to get a room because one of the guest was leaving in a day or two. At first I was skeptical booking with Queen Beatrice because of the review I read on this website but something pushed me to give them a benefit of doubt and I should be frank really, no one should judge a book by its cover and at the end of this you will know why. I hard of the ordeal that befell some guests I mean it was hard to miss the conversation because everyone who had come after and everyone who came later were curious to know if this is still the case. The place after the ordeal which was first of its kind according to different accounts, was oddly exaggerated. But I won't delve into it. On my arrival, there was a gentleman a lawyer and I think the son of the owners who attended to me. He took my details but before that he explained why it was necessary to do so so that I don't feel like I'm not trusted or something. I was also told that they partnered with the police who are always on speed dial to respond to any emergency call just in case. All services were availed to me and the rest of the guests in our respective rooms including but not limited to; hot shower, cleaning services, breakfast (we could be consulted on what we would prefer) which is something unique different from other places I've visited. It honestly showed they cared a lot about their guests. I loved the ambiance, very silent and peaceful, the breath of fresh air to say the least. There are dogs for security, a guard at night and solar security lights for the days when electricity is off which could rarely happen (happened once during my stay) but they seemed to have been prepared. They also organized some tour trips for us with their partner tourist companies. Generally, Queen Beatrice has really improved with their new management. I was supposed to stay for one week but I ended up making the place my home for a while and you bet I will be going back for another vacation If I'm to stay in the eastern part of Uganda
