Direct booking via telephone few hours before arrival, good meal downstairs, fine sea view, close to Elafonisi and especial to Kodrodasos beach, ideal place to stay at southwest Crete. Good rates, big parking lot.

This is a small boutique hotel in quiet suburb. Sympathetically restored town house, sophisticated decor , and wonderfully comfortable beds. Host Ireni is charming too, warm welcome and nothing is too much trouble.

We have stayed at Platanos a number of times and it never fails to.deliver. The rooms have been redecorated since our last trip but the price is still the same. Its worth more so Eva I would add a few euros. Still amazing value for money. See you next year!

My friend and I booked a room at this hotel and even got charged and the hotel called tot ell us that they gave the room to someone else cause apparently they didn't get the money! So had to rebook it again cause we had no other places to go to and payed an other time! The person on the phone with us was RUDE AF and didn't even want to hear anything even with proof of the payment Do not go there unless you want to get scammed

Elia Estia consists of four apartments, each 40-50 m². Owing to its location, one has a panoramic view of the harbor and the lighthouse from the harbor facing rooms, while the rest of the rooms face the streets of the old town and the White Mountain range. The apartments consist of a bedroom and a sitting room with a sofa which unfolds and becomes a bed, so that they can accommodate up to 4 people. All the apartments have a fully-equipped kitchen, air conditioning, a safe vault, an espresso coffee maker, hair dryer, satellite TV as well as a Wi-Fi connection. The construction and architecture of all the buildings at Kastelli is such that access to Elia Estia (being on top of other buildings) is through Lithinon street and there is no elevator.
If you are thinking of staying here in the near future you should be aware of the following. The entrance is a safety hazard, (see photo) the door is on the left and you have to pass through the narrow metal frame, on bottom left of photo to get to it. There is considerable building work being carried out which involves drilling and other noisy work from 7.30 am. Also workmen on scaffolding outside your bedroom window again from 7.30 am. IMO this accommodation should not be open for booking while this work is being carried out.

The tour was bought from a travel agency, we had booked a studio in the Koukoras hotel. On arrival we were told that the studios in Koukoras were booked and without apology we were put up in the Lia apartment house. The receptionist refused to respond to our comments and was very unpleasant. The room we were put up in was small, dark and musty. The balcony by the room overlooked a wall and a neglected area. As a warning - the room was number 3 in the Lia. Because we wanted to enjoy our holiday, we paid extra to stay in another hotel.

Design and modern Apartments for holiday rentals or business.
Great place. Apartment have everything... and more. Kitchen is made for food lovers like ourselves. Owner is super nice and helpful. There is a little barking problem outside, but rooms are nicely isoleted with outstanding airconditioning so it was easy to get used to. Highly recommended!

The hotel lies at one of the most beautiful and peaceful beaches of Crete in a distance of only 1Km from Kolymbari Village, 22Km from the picturesque town of Chania and 12 km from the large resort of the prefecture of Chania (Platanias - Agia Marina - Kato Stalos). The hotel has 73 guest rooms and suites frame an open courtyard, for an atmosphere of personal attention and ease unprecedented in Kol
We stayed at Solimar hotel in September 2021 and it was the perfect end of summer break for total relaxation. We were lucky enough to get upgraded to the junior suite which provided us with a very large room with a boho theme and balcony overlooking the beach and stunning views of the sea. The room was spotlessly clean and beds were super comfy. The receptionist Iva couldn't do enough to help us and always had a lovely smile on her face, we felt like we had made a new friend by the time we left! All of the other staff were also so accommodating and the hotel had a really friendly community of staff plus 3 sweet little dogs who we just adored! The drinks selection was also really good from cocktails to wine and Prosecco which you could help yourself to. The pool was a nice size and very clean. Its also on the beach front as well so you could sunbathe at either location on the comfy sun loungers. As it was adult only, it was very quiet and had a very relaxed atmosphere. The only thing we did find was that the taxi's to Chania were very expensive and the hotel is quite far out from the buzz of Chainia which we ended up going to every night. Also would be great if the hotel could get some full length mirrors in the bedroom for when you are getting ready! Overall a fabulous holiday with fabulous staff. X

Stayed on May here for 3 nights . From the first moment we arrived Anastasia welcomes us . All the staff are friendly and hard workers . We loved our room as we had the seaview room by the beach. All inclusive is incredibly, especially the restaurants food as you get live cooking. Special mention to Kiriakos , Anna , Nektarios ,Aris and Mitsos . Thank you Solimar Turquoise, we will defenentely come back
