Reviewed By ChristineD26200Auberge en bord d'une route mais calme, tenu par 2 personnes d'un certain âge. Les chambres sont grandes et propres mais très très viellottes !!! Lits à sommiers métalique à ressorts, une HORREUR, on rebondit à chaque changement de côtè ...... Vraiment c'est pas possible de dormir là !! Bon petits déjeuner classique avec les animaux empaillès qui vous guettent ......

Reviewed By paul49092We stayed for one night at this 277 year old inn. Our room was clean and large with basic furnishings. The bathroom was modern. The bedroom was not. But we found the place to be very restful. Probably because the owner/family lives here and they are wonderful. Walking downstairs into the dining room was going back in time. Indeed, this has been continuously operated as an inn for nearly three centuries. The dining room is delightfully rustic. The food and drink are locally sourced. Our mushrooms were picked by the owner yesterday. The turkey was roasted yesterday on the huge fireplace then specially prepared for serving today. The salad was fresh and wonderful. The myrtle pie was incredible with berries picked in the local mountains. We love food. We love French food. And we found this food, the service, the people, the place to be very special, really extraordinary. If you are not a snob, if you enjoy authenticity, you will surely appreciate this unique restaurant. And you may want to stay the night.

A true French Castle
Reviewed By C0lliemanThe weather was rather hot and being a castle there was no air conditioning. Wonderful ambiance, great location, an absolute gem, very good traditional breakfast, very helpful owners, ,even booked us a restaurant for dinner in a local village, no TVs, no traffic noise, in fact no traffic! If you really want to get away from the troubles of life for a little while, then this is the true getaway from it all.

The bed and breakfast, mas du cresponnet, is located near to the little village of murat, in cantal department. Close by, you can spend a day to the lioran ski resort or hiking at the top of puy mary volcano. In their family sweet home, a traditional old farm surrounded by nature, alexandre et severine have renovated 2 spacious rooms where guests can stay for a night or a longer journey.
Friendly hospitality
Reviewed By Mal HThis B&B is located about 3km to the south west of Murat off the D39 at Cresponnet and provides a panoramic view back over Murat. Our hosts, Severine and Alexandre were warm and hospitable and although we had not pre-arranged dinner, Severine asked us to share dinner with them. This included aperitif, plate, wine, cheese and desert and was typical local cuisine at a very reasonable 25 euro each. The building has a modern fit-out with good sized rooms including shower and spa bath. Wifi was adequate but best used in the common room. Parking is adjacent to the building and there is a pleasant walk to the nearby village. Although only recently opened, we wish Severine and Alexandre every success. Strongly recommended.
