Great hotel before Safari
Reviewed By myjourneythroughlensI had a nice stay at Gran Melia Arusha. The front desk staff were very welcoming. The lobby is really nice. The room I stayed at, was quite big and the bed was nice. I loved the rooftoop bar. The room service was okay. The breakfast choices was limited but tasty. Overall, it was a great stay for the first stop before Safari.

Reviewed By K9881KQalbertmWe stayed for one night and wished if we could stay forever, we were group of twelve arrived late evening But the staff make us feel like we arriver like in the noon, they are super supportive, charming and always smiling. High five to you guys! The room were super clean, spacious with hot water we couldn't ask for more, I the morning the sounds of birds were so beautful everyone loved it, we will (I must) use and recommend this accommodation when traveling.

Reviewed By TanarinAdamsAs manager for Two Mountain Lodge, Shangwe was always available and quick to respond to my requests and needs. The Lodge itself is located 15 min. away from the main city of Arusha. I enjoyed the quiet walks through the village life where I could get everything I needed from within the local community (i.e. laundry, supermarket, restaurants, cafes, bars, etc.). The food from the restaurant and bar in the lobby was excellent and with fair rates, I found myself eating here and getting to know both the staff and other visitors to the lodge. The wifi was good and when the electricity from the general city went out, 2Mountain has back up generators the snap on so I was never without hot water or electricity. They also provide transportation services and laundry services within the lodge if you need to go into the city or arrange an airport service. They will also help you arrange any extra activities (ie. safari, Mt. Meru, Mt. Kilimanjaro, Hot springs, Waterfalls, etc.). Just about everyone spoke English. In summary I can highly recommend a short and long term stay here and I will return when Im back in Arusha.

At Utamaduni House we offer comfortable accommodation for every traveller, whether you are a solo traveller, a couple or a small groups. Our place is perfect for YOU if you wish to relax before or after safaris, treks or other activities, or even if you wish to stay for several weeks. The area surrounding the property is very green and will only be a 15 min walk away from shopping, restaurants, bars, gym and public transport.

Breakfast was always ready early in the mornings with fresh fruit, coffee, pancakes, granola and yogurt, and omelette. The host also helped me by coordinating and helping me to join a safari (“joiner -group” version) with his associate. The experience with the safari went beyond my expectations too. The house was very clean (inside and outside) and had a nice warm decor. I love the fact you can cook your own food or have the girls cook you a lunch/dinner. The two dogs were also fun, playful and sweet too. I will miss the staff and the dogs at Utamaduni House. If I come back to Arusha to do another safari, i’m definitely coming back to Utamaduni House. We liked them so much, that we actually cooked a Filipino dish for them the day we left.

I stayed twice for one night (before and after my safari), especially the room on the 1st floor (not ground floor) was really nice. Not huge but very clean, with bathroom included, quiet, comfortable bed. Also, staff was really nice and I twice met the manager who recognized me by name. I would definitely stay there again!

Habla una enamorada de Tanzania . The place is cozy and beautiful they have it very well maintained and clean, I spent a few days and they made me feel really at home the staff is friendly and if they can help you with something and recommend places or what you need they do it with a big smile. The room is very well equipped and the common places are formidable, without a doubt one of the best places to stop for a few days because of its location and get to know the area, which is beautiful. A woman in love with Tanzania speaks.
