Our convenient location makes visiting the local attractions a breeze.
We are local living in Destin, Florida so this resort is considered a local weekend resort and travel with a group of 6 class A’s. We booked a lot at $110 per night for 4 nights. To that fee they added resort fee of $20 a day, a management fee of $10 per day, a processing fee of $18 and a camp site cleaning of $25 of which we had only a picnic table. To this they add Sales tax 13%. On top of that they could not get their computer system to work and they interrupted our Easter dinner to tell us we should not be there. When asked if we could send them our confirmation after our family dinner, we were told they went home at 05:00pm and it had to be settled right then. They could not get there act together. If you check in before 03:00 pm or out after 11:00am you are charged another $15. There has been a number of changes at this resort and a number of them not good. There are a number of good rv resorts in the area and unfortunately our camping group will not return. Beware of their fee structure.

We had a couple of nights stay at Cheaha State Park and were lucky to have been assigned Cabin 1, a rustic old stone CCC cabin. It was very comfortable and had everything we could have needed, including a kitchen, bath and great room which also had the bed and fireplace. The views from the grounds right outside our door were spectacular. We particularly enjoy the night sky and seeing clouds and lights from distant communities. We were up so high, can't say enough good things about it. Great hiking, roads in good condition and everyone we encountered were so friendly. A wonderful experience overall and will definitely make plans to return another trip through Alabama.

We are a fun family resort with 36 Homes and 17 RV sites 2 pools, water slides, beach, basketball/tennis court putt putt, zip line, scheduled events, and much more. Chesnut Bay Resort is Located 1 hour north of Birmingham Alabama on beautiful Weiss Lake.
My family has made some of the best memories camping at Chesnut Bay RV resort. My son wanted to return for his graduation trip. We booked, received all of the rules, etc via email like usual, and arrived today. My son was driving the golf cart and was stopped by someone who works on the property and he told him that he could not have a private golf cart on the property. He returned to the camper and told us. I called the office and they said that it was a new rule effective "in March or April." They said you can only rent their golf carts now since new management took over. I re-read the rules and nowhere in there does it state this. In fact, it still says that electric golf carts only are allowed (which ours is). This resort has tons of hills, is very large, has parking challenges, and it is a distance to most things which is relieved by the use of a golf cart. To be forced to pay for the resort golf carts only is a deal breaker for me and we will not be returning. It was so much better when it was owned by "mom and pop" and not a bigger corporation!

Located in a quiet wooded area of Redstone Army Arsenal this hotel is first rate. The rooms are very clean, large and well furnished with very comfy beds, pillows and a kitchen. The staff were knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend it.

The bed we stayed in was not a queen it was a full. Way too high for a short man who had surgery and a catheter still in place to climb up on. The ridiculous chair with a round desk he couldn’t sleep in and the walk over may be a .... minute to the hospital but there’s no way my husband could have walked that far back to the room after surgery so don’t let that comment fool you the hospital it’s self wheeled him over.

A traditional Bed & Breakfast nestled in the Appalachian Mountains near rivers, canyons, waterfalls, parks and 2 miles from Weiss Lake. Large comfy rooms nicely decorated with you in mind. Here to offer the Comforts of Home, a delicious breakfast in a beautiful setting, relax and enjoy your stay. Reservations can be made by calling the B&B directly.
We stayed at Weiss Lake Bed and Breakfast in October of this year. We stayed in the Cherokee room which was nicely decorated with a very comfortable bed and a huge bathroom. Connie is amazing and so willing to share information about the area and the breakfast she served was wonderful. Although we were woken early by the rooster and had no internet and very little cell service we enjoyed our stay and were very comfortable. Great place to get away from busy city life and enjoy some relaxation.....also, very close to Little River Canyon park.

From the moment we contacted Deb this place was amazing!!! We were looking for a last minute romantic evening not far from home and were fortunate enough to find Seaglass Inn on Trip Advisor. So so happy she had availability on the weeknight we wanted. Deb is warm and welcoming and made us feel right at home. The house is meticulous down to every detail. And unlike most B&B’s it’s pretty much made for two. We do like meeting others but it was nice to have the whole house to ourselves. Perfect for the romantic night we were looking for. (I do believe she can accomodate more though.) And wow the tub and shower, all spa style with steam and all in the shower was wonderful!!! And just a short beautiful walk from the pier and water. The breakfast was wonderful and visiting with Deb, her brother and her precious little babies (a dachshund names Amelia and a pretty little kitty) was just the icing on the cake. It was such a peaceful, quiet and romantic stay in beautiful Fairhope, Alabama. Thank you Deb for a wonderful perfect stay!!!! P.S. my husband wanted to bring Amelia home!

The Ridge is a 500 acre off-road riding park and zip line facility. We cater to motorcycle, four-wheeler, and side-by-side riders of all ages and abilities and any other type of thrill seeker. We offer ATV and Side by Side rentals and zip line tours. We have 4 standard hotel rooms, 1 hotel suite, and 2 rustic cabins.
Great place to ride. They do a good job of keeping it maintained. My son and I ride dirt bikes here every time we get a chance. Trails are well marked. Jeeps, big 4x4s and other large vehicles aren't allowed on the trails so it's better for dirt biking.

Deeply rooted in Sylacauga, Alabama, the Pursell Family has been in the business of growing for more than 100 years. Our story begins in 1904 with the founding of the Sylacauga Fertilizer Company.
The room was 5 star and the service was above and beyond. It is worth the cost to schedule a ATV tour of the property. Not only was the views enjoyable but the guide was a retired History teacher with a sense of humor and very knowledgeable about the History of the surrounding area. The Golf course is fantastic with several holes having extreme elevation changes form tee box to green. Fun and playable. The onsite restaurants were excellent also.

We planned a last-minute getaway to the pretty town of Eufala. Luckily we found a room available at Baker Street Bed and Breakfast. This is a beautiful B&B in the heart of the historic area of Eufala. The location is convenient to the shops, restaurants and amenities of downtown. It is also located on the walking tour of the area. It is a short drive to the lake, picnic sites, etc. The owners, Bruce and Mary Ellen, truly make you feel welcome; we felt as though we were visiting old friends. Their home is tastefully furnished and decorated in a period-appropriate manner. Both the porch and backyard are also available and comfortable. Bruce and Mary Ellen offered a wealth of information about the area, including sites, restaurants, and various attractions. They were available for every need, and even shared an evening glass of wine with us after we returned from dinner. Breakfast the next morning was beautifully presented and delicious! We highly recommend a visit to Eufala and at stay at this wonderful B&B!
