Canada's largest metropolis, Vancouver is a city of varied landscapes and diverse population. Its mix of the scenic and urban mean that weekenders can spend the morning taking advantage of its beaches, ski mountains, and hiking trails, only to kick back in the evening at first-rate restaurants and wine bars among a labyrinth of skyscrapers. As friendly and welcoming as it is ethnically diverse, the streets are crowded with different languages being spoken everywhere, and the city's sights, sounds, and flavors are a hodgepodge of warm multiculturalism. It is a haven both for the urbanite and the sportsman, offering all the sophistication of a modern city center, with a strong focus on the arts and a burgeoning cafe culture, but with charming suburban outlets and easy outdoor day trips. Though the city is often split into three districts, Vancouver and its surrounding environs feature multiple neighbourhoods, each with their own character and draw, in one massive conglomeration. Take your time and explore as many of them as possible.

The location is really good being right at the center of vancouver downtown, but the facilities and services were not up to expectations. Was asked the preferred timeslot for room keeping services, which we chose am, and then the services were always at noon or later. The youtube casting didnt work for the tv. Did not send receipt via email, despite requested multiple times.

Floors under renovation will be closed with no guest access and construction is limited to 09:30am to 5:30pm, minimizing any impact to guests staying with us.
I do love old classy hotels... when they are maintained accordingly. Unfortunately, I mixed up the Pacific Rim Fairmont with the Fairmont Hotel and so now I am stuck in a cramped worn room where the paint is chipped of the walls and the bathroom is reminiscent of a Japanese business hotel. Definitely not staying again.

Worth it to upgrade to a harbour view room. Went to the ARC restaurant for drinks one evening and breakfast the next. Staff and food were both amazing. Pool is heated and gives you great views of the city while you sit out and relax. Would definitely come back again

It was up and down. Check-in was extremely slow as hotel was overbooked. Was asked if we needed the 2-queen room we booked and if we could use a 1-king room! We were travelling with a kid and there was a reason for booking it which should have been obvious from the booking details. Got upgraded to an sea-view room when we insisted on the 2-queen room. So the outcome wasn't bad. Room was very good with a nice view but the hair dryer was missing but one was sent up immediately upon reporting. On checkout found a parking ticket on the windshield although the room rate had parking included and I had provided the license plate details upon check-in. Had to come back to reception to get the ticket dissolved, another loss of 30 mins due to a long line at reception. As a result, I just about missed the low-wait time window at the Canada-US border and got delayed. Overall, nice stay except for these incidents at the beginning and the end.

The Pan Pacific Vancouver Hotel is luxuriously appointed with a wide selection of modern hotel amenities, with its waterfront restaurants and lounge providing an award-winning selection of West Coast Cuisine over Vancouver's magnificent Harbour, Coastal Mountains and Stanley Park.
We overnighted at the Pan Pacific Vancouver in advance of our cruise. We picked the hotel for two reasons: it is rated 4.5,stars and it is right at the cruise ship terminal. However, the stay fell far short from what we expected. The first challenge was getting a good night’s rest. Our corner room was in close proximity to the pool and hot tub and the noise (even people speaking loudly) carried up to our room, even with the windows closed. Called the front desk, but their response was that until 10 PM there was nothing they could or are willing to do. They basically said we’d need to endure until 10 PM. This uncaring attitude was not expected. Second was that the bathroom was not properly cleaned. My wife found numerous long black hairs on the floor and she has neither black hair, or long hair. When we checked out, no one even asked how our stay was! I believe that we received much less value for what we paid. Unfortunately in the future we’ll stay elsewhere.

Every time we stay at The Westin Bayshore in Vancouver we have an amazing and unforgettable experience!! We came back after three years and it was like time haven’t passed and even better!! The place was vibrant with its usual charm, the rooms, the food, the service incredibly great and as always the people made our stay memorable!! Can’t say enough about Ayako and Alejandro who for years have welcomed us and made us feel like royalty with their kindness and details every time we stay at the Westin Bayshore.. definitely they are the best!! And also Diana and Mark at reception were super nice and helpful.. The Marriott’s culture of customer service always amaze me!! Can’t wait to be back!!!

I just returned from a 4 day visit to Vancouver. It was two of us ( a friend of mine and myself). First off the Hotel is in a great location and walking distance to everything. Upon arrival the staff were fantastic and check in was easy. We even got freshly baked cookies as a welcome gift, nice touch! We had the suite with 2 queen beds and a separate sitting room. It was spotless and very spacious for our needs. Their is free Netflix available so you just use your personal sign on. The room had a mini fridge and a small Keurig style coffeemaker. Front desk staff lets you know on arrival if you need housekeeping services you need to book that in advance. Getting extra towels etc is no problem they’ll bring it all right up. Their is a restaurant/bar on the property that has a Happy hour from 3-6 and another one from 9- Late. Our first night there it wasn’t closed for a private function so we weren’t allowed access. Our second night there we wanted to pop in for a drink at 10pm but they were closing so I’m not sure what “late” means as advertised above. It seemed to vary nightly. The drinks in the bar were good and the restaurant has a minimal menu but what we had was good (not great) . Overall a very nice stay except for a few “Cons” Room service: They do not offer pots of coffee to bring to your room. Your only option (other than your tiny coffee maker) is to order a coffee in the morning. The options are one size, medium cup, of A Starbucks coffee choice. Plain, Latte or Cappuccino. The cost for 2 coffee with room service was $18 CAN. That includes a $5 service fee to deliver. Twice we asked for extra creamers and sugars and twice it didn’t come with our order and needed to send them to get more. The coffee arrived in paper cups, no ceramic mugs available, so it gets cold fast. The Restaurant Breakfast choices were minimal. Sometimes you’d just like to get some bacon and eggs, toast and potatoes , or a simple omelette but that wasn’t an option. Breakfast for 2 with room service was $75 CAN . I did mention these things to front desk on check out and she said “she’d tell the manager “ Overall our stay was lovely, just wanted to mention those few things!

We stayed here for 5 nights in June. This hotel is exactly like its pictures. Big spacious clean rooms with en suite kitchen and bathroom. The kitchen has a great fridge, kettle, oven and microwave. Bathroom was good with hot shower and amenities. The complimentary hot drinks in the lobby are a lovely extra touch. Staff friendly and welcoming. The decor in this hotel may be a little dated but thats exactly as advertised so cant be complained about. We loved our stay in this hotel ideally located in Vancouver's West End.

I spent 4 nights her with family members and found the hotel to have the perfect situation to everything in the West End. Restaurants, bars, beach activities, Stanley Park, all within walking distance. The hotel was recently renovated and the rooms are very nicely done. Comfy beds and good wifi. We only ate in the restaurant once and the breakfast was very good. The downside was very large portions and we felt bad wasting so much food. We found the Sands a very good option compared to others in the area.
