Sprawling tea plantations surround the serene hills of Munnar, which attract adventure travelers hungry for paragliding, treks to Anaimudi (South India's highest peak) and hikes originating at the confluence of three mountain streams. The stone Christ Church, built by the British in 1910, is adorned with renowned works of stained glass, and Eravikulam National Park, about 10 miles away, is home to equally colorful wildlife, including the endangered Nilgiri Tahr (ibex), ruddy mongoose and 120 bird species.

We stayed at Golden Leaf Room No 319 from 29th May to 01st Jun 22. Booked the rooms through Modern World Travel, Varanasi. An 'avant garde' experience right from the time we checked in to the time we checked out. The host and hostesses at reception, restaurants and housekeeping were warm, welcoming and gracious. Food was great in their restaurant. The view of mountains from my room was amazing. I could stay in that room days on. A special shout out to Saranya, our hostess in the Leaf restaurant, who was ever smiling and fetched us our buffet choices on the table. Way to go "The Leaf"

I live in US and travelled to Munnar for a family vacation. After through search and several suggestions from my friends, though I was not sure about the quality and service provide, I booked at Parakkat Nature Hotels & Resorts. A warm welcome by staffs with garlands. Oh..Man..! you won’t believe the quality, cleanliness and service provided by staff members. Rooms are crystal clear, floors and bathrooms are shining with golden and platinum decorative tiles, filled with lot of furniture and other essential items. Food is top notch with 100s of items for breakfast alone. Be ready to dress well to take portrait and scenic photos, everywhere adorable decorations, artworks and sceneries. Don’t miss out cave house, kids park, camp fire, rope car, trekking, pool, music, riding on horse and much more. Not to forget there is a jewelry shop to buy 1 gram gold jewels as well. Anyone come to Munnar to enjoy, I would recommend this hotel and resorts. My rating is 5 star.

Quaint cottages, fragrant tea gardens and mist-draped mornings are hallmarks of Munnar. For years the cool and picturesque town of Munnar was the summer retreat of the British and it still retains the charm of a colonial past. The destination is home to the only sandalwood forest in Kerala and is also famous for its exotic flora and fauna.
Our 3 days stay at Tea County resort was a wonderful experience. Spread over 8 acres with cottages set amidst tall trees, it is located just 1 km from the centre of Munnar town. We had booked the Premium room which was spacious enough for three - myself, wife and 10 year old kid. The bathroom was clean with sufficient toiletries and hot water available throughout. King sized bed was quite comfortable, maybe little too soft. I loved the balcony overlooking the hills, it was a good place to relax and unwind with a sip of tea. They have only a few options for recreation - carroms, table tennis and billiards table. A badminton court would be a nice-to-have. The reception and security staff are very courteous and helpful. Room cleaning was immaculate. Breakfast buffet (free with the booking) was well stocked with variety of food, including Kerala traditional cuisine idiyappam/egg roast and puttu/kadala curry (on different days). Dinner buffet menu was disappointing for ₹500 plus taxes, it is predominantly vegetarian menu plus one chicken curry and chicken salad. The car parking is at an open ground adjacent to the property, gets muddy if it rains. It would be great if resort management consider paving tiles or concreting the parking area. During the rains, be sure to carry an umbrella so that you don't get drenched walking (2-3 minute steep climb) from parking lot to the resort entrance. Overall it was a good experience staying at Tea County. Will definitely recommend this place.

The Hotel service is not up to the expectation level. We have to ask for the room basic needs (towel, toiletries, etc) which must have placed before check-in. Apart from that, swimming, spa and breakfast are all better than expected. Room service has to be improved is the only major concern for this hotel. Overall, you can expect good service.

Mountain Club, Munnar is the best and finest luxury resort in the evergreen mountains of Munnar, Kerala, and India. It is located on a quite hillside in a small hamlet called Chinnakanal. The mesmerizing natural beauty and the weather is really unique. The exterior walls made from pure stone and the typical Kerala roof tiles provides the rustic look. Surrounding the resort are extensive tea gardens and mountains with nature trails. Exclusive Food and Beverage outlets, conference halls, meeting rooms and a host of recreational facilities matching first class standards is available to make your holiday a truly amazing experience. Mountain Club, Munnar has many firsts to its credit. Each of its cottages contains a cozy and spacious living room and a bedroom. For those who are traveling with families and friends, we have two bedroom cottages, which have a living room as well. Every cottage is equipped with a fire place. Needless to mention, we have provided all amenities in our cottage.
Excellent stay. Nice location. May be avoided Mutton Biriyani from this resort. Don't visit Kerala Farm near Kallar, Munnar by cab, it is a big trap. I t is run by group of Cab owners and some cheaters. No relationship with Kerala Govt. Waste of time and Money.

Sitting high amidst the clouds, 20kms off Munnar town in Chinnakanal is The Siena Village. An idler’s retreat, where guests can enjoy sophisticated accommodation, revitalizing Ayurveda and thrilling outdoor pursuits in true ‘Siena’ style. Ideal for corporate gatherings, weekends with family or a romantic getaway with the one you love, the Siena Village experience is one of a beautiful blend of the familiar and the inspirational.
We had booked 3 rooms and stayed there for 3 nights. The rooms are maintained very well. They are spacious. The lawns are beautiful. The early morning view from Siena village is very scenic. There are some basic play structures for small kids to enjoy (swing, sliding board, see-saw and a climbing structure). They had an indoor play area too - but we did not try that. The quality of food was awesome. The staff were quite courteous, supportive and highly responsive. The buffet breakfast menu was exhaustive. Dinner food options (alacarte) were limited, but adequate enough. Overall we had a pleasant time during our stay in Siena Village.
