The water around Ishigaki is pure blue, with white sandy beaches to soothe your senses. But don't just stand on the beach and stare. Travelers recommend a ride in a glass-bottomed boat to gaze at the coral reefs and tropical fish from above.

I am a foreign resident of Japan for over 20 years. Most venerable Japanese hotel chains or local independent hotels seem to aim for the lowest common denominator. They provide an acceptable level of quality for the budget traveler or families with kids. They do not provide any luxury or a wow factor. Fusaki is different and is really an international class resort. The beach is lovely. The pool area is directly on the beach, quite large, well designed including the lighting at night and has plenty of cabanas and lounge chairs. One thing I appreciate that you do not see in Japan is a bar next to the pool. So you can actually enjoy a drink at the pool -- and not just Asahi Super Dry. You can have actual cocktails, wine, or craft beer. There is also a cafe next to the pool and you can have your meal at the pool. I also like that they have a pool designed for kids at the far end, so if you want to stay away from the kids you can just stay near the bar. For a rainy day, they have a wellness center with a large indoor pool, gym, Japanese style hot bath, and spa. The general services are really good such as food, strong wifi, resort transport (free shuttle from the airport), shops inside the resort, self-service laundry facilities, etc.

The Kabira peninsula is located on the north-west part of the Island of Ishigaki. This Resort stands opposite a white sandy beach where the sea is extremely clear. The high quality of the underwater world and the wealth of fauna and flora make the bay of Kabira Japan's most beautiful diving spot. Kabira is also an excellent starting point from which to explore the purest of Japan's traditions. For all the family to discover, this Resort is an excellent way to fall for the charms of Asia.

Nestled at the southernmost point of Japan's Okinawa region, ANA InterContinental Ishigaki Resort is a haven of natural beauty. As the gateway to the 21 islands making up the Yaeyama archipelago, visitors to the island are treated to endless horizons of azure water and direct access to picturesque Maesato Beach. Home to the rare blue coral reef of Shiraho, one of the world's biggest and oldest blue coral reefs. It's a place where time simply stops.
My family and I had such an amazing stay at the ANA Intercontinental Ishikagi. By far the customer service was stellar! The staff went above and beyond to accommodate us and meet our needs. We were welcomed with delicious drinks. The front desk attendant walked us to our room and gave us an overview of the resort. We stayed in the new Bay Wing, the room was beautiful. Everything was brand new basically. We ate at Saltida, one of the resort’s restaurants which was very enjoyable although very pricey. Although the resort is in a great location with a lot of different food options. They have an indoor saltwater pool with jacuzzi as well as two outdoor pools, waterslide and kid waterslide/sprinkler and playground. I definitely would recommend this resort to anyone traveling with their family it was an amazing vacation and can’t wait to visit again.

Not sure if it was corona that made the hotel poor or not. The staff at Grandvrio were few and low energy. No one greeted us and getting help always seemed to be an inconvenience for them. Also Hotel is dated - lockers breaking etc. the room was nice enough. Food hours are short. No beach. Pool is small. We spent one day at Fusaki resort and the difference was clear. There the staff was full of energy, food was good and quick, and the beach was great. I would not stay at Grandvrio again.

Very well equipped hotel, two bedrooms suite is over my expectation. Everything in the room is in good condition, very surprise have two bathrooms and two toilets, the rooms are big enough for 2 adults and 3 kids. The sunset is really amazing, although the pool is a little bit small, the kids have so much fun there.

Don’t stay here unless you’re Japanese and you don’t want to swim or go to the beach & you like swimming in a kids pool filled with little children. The room was nice & food delicious but overall we had to call the front desk every morning to ask to have items stocked as they were forgotten or 1/2 filled. The cleaning crew moved baggage & didn’t return items to their place. Overall, we changed our reservation & booked at the Intercontinental which was less money! Lastly, the hotel offered free pick up & drop off to from airport which is ¥3200 each way. They didn’t inform us but the stopped it due to COVID-19. The best closest beach is Maesato which is a ¥1600 taxi ride each way. It’s at the foot of the intercontinental! So why stay anywhere else...

We stayed in a ground floor room and it was very large and had 4 beds, it was more like an apartment than a hotel. The hotel is effectively in the middle of nowhere so I would recommend a car (the car park is free). The breakfast was good quality and we slept well in the beds. The shower enclosure leaked water even with the door closed and the curtain pulled.once the water was out there was nowhere for it to go and we had to use a cup to bail out in to the drains. This seemed an oversight as there was a floor drain next to the bath but the water in the shower area couldn't reach it due to a step. There were a few areas of wallpaper that were lifting (I think due to the humidity). The breakfast was good quality and had a large selection. Note: there was a strange air freshener in our room which I smelt and it caused a burning in my throat. I'm not sure what this was but if you find one in your room don't smell it up close!

Yokabushi is a resort hotel consisting of 8 reasonably priced Bali style rooms and a luxury barbecue site (Glamping) in northern part of Ishigaki Island where untouched nature still remains. You can enjoy rich and juicy charcoal grilled Ishigaki beef spending slowly in a quiet place where the starry sky is so beautiful.
Had a 3day2night holiday here last week. It was awesome. Clean and spacious room. Great KOSE products for usage. In room microwave. Though there isnt house keeping but its really not an issue. Breakfast was great. BBQ dinner was fun and delicious. Initially I din expect to have the BBQ dinner cause I thought it might be a little weird for solo traveller to do that but it all turns out great. They accommodate to my request, thank you so much. In addition, surprised me for my birthday. It was really touching of them to do that for me out of their goodwill. It was really unforgetable. Very friendly and patience staffs. Sorry to make them accompany me throughout my bbq experience (cause they need to ensure they are there if I need them). Weather was awesome but a little too cold hence I din use the swimming pool. Beach was just behind the resort, just a minute walk from the side. The famous Tamatorizaki observatory tower is just about 10 minutes walk away. Best way to reach this resort is via car or taxi. If you are taking bus there, make sure you dont reach there too late, do check buses frequency. In conclusion, Yokabushi is awesome place to relax, if only I reside in Ishigaki, I will go there often. But I am sure to visit again whenever I visit Ishigaki again. Thank you so much for the 3days. Thank you for the superb hospitality. I really had an unforgetable experience. Love you guys!
