I hardly ever write reviews but this one is a must and I have travelled extensively all over the world . There is absolutely NO Customer Service and non responsive to any needs. 10AM Checkout. They don’t answer their phones or reply to emails. They don’t even answer the phones internally in the hotel when you are trying to call reception from your room -the only point of contact is at reception, they have people who are only there to check you in or out and process payments only. Inexistent customer service - none. The reason for not answering their phones was “because they are busy” - well WE ARE ALL BUSY. That is an unacceptable excuse. They are well set up to take your money but do not want to talk to you or help you in anyway. I sent an email and left a voice message the day before arrival and they never replied to me. When I asked the manager.. the answer was they are busy, when I asked the restaurant why no one replied I got the same answer - we were trying to move our reservation to a later time and we could not get a hold of anyone for 2 days. They take a credit card to hold your reservation for the restaurant and if you cancel under 24 hours they will charge you $35 for each person, which is completely fine but what happens if someone wakes up the day of the reservation and they are sick? With “Covid” and the new rules we live under are they still going to charge you? The point is someone should be replying to messages and or emails. Very poorly run and managed. So just be aware of how they choose to operate.

I would have given 4 except for theft. I left a tip for the cleaning staff on the first morning of a two day stay. When I got back to my room the first night the money was gone but nothing had been done in my room. No bed make up, no new shampoo, towels still in tub. I then checked to ensure nothing else was missing and it wasn’t. When I checked out in the second day I asked about cleaning staff and the front desk confirmed that the staff wouldn’t have been in due to COVID restrictions. So I let them know about the $10 that went missing and they chuckled. I let them know that it was theft but didn’t raise a fuss as I wasn’t missing anything else. Needless to say that I extremely disappointed that money was taken from my room. I wasn’t looking for compensation but I did find out that balconies were being painted and people were going in and out of rooms. Not for me to figure out but I would have hoped they might have shown a little more concern. What if it were jewelry.

The location was extremely convenient travel wise to access, and the rooms exceptionally clean. I'm a golfer and the courses very close by along with shopping. I'm from Ontario so the location was a leisurely drive.

A beautiful, quiet, relaxing getaway for all ages. A short drive from Toronto at only 2 hours and a quick drive from Barrie at only 1 hour, Grand Tappattoo provides great service and a relaxed country atmosphere. Truly a great place for family and friends to begin lasting traditions.
We spent 2 relaxing nights at Grand Tappattoo Resort. The location feels very remote and quiet but is only 2 hours from Toronto and 10 minutes from Parry Sound. The facilities and grounds are beautiful and well maintained. There is a large heated pool and sauna as well as a fully equipped fitness room. The beautiful, clean beach has many lounge chairs and umbrellas. Kayaks, canoes and paddle boats are available free to guests. All the rooms have a new large screen TV with many channels as well as on demand movies, TV shows The WiFi is fast and reliable. The staff where very friendly and helpful. The free breakfast was very fresh and had a great selection. The dining room has a great view overlooking the lake and beach (great sun sets). Dinner menu has a good selection of entrees, appetizers and desserts. We look forward to our next visit!

Made reservations at the Villa Nova Motel in Wasaga Beach for September 26, 2021 and requested the nicest room they had facing the beach. When I arrived, they put me in a room facing the breezeway and other rooms which smelled old & moldy, not to mention in dire need of updating. This was off season so they had plenty of rooms to pick from. To add insult to injury, I quickly learned that they also rent room to low-income people as apartments. One of the occupant's living across the breezeway from me would come out of his room every half-hour to smoke weed and coughed his lungs out all night. Did I also mentioned that I could not get the TV to work? Not impressed! (See photos of what they consider their "Best Rooms".) Definitely not worth the $148.35 I was charged and would not recommend this Motel/Low Income Apartment.

We stayed at Sunny Point Resort 1st week in August, I had never been to the area so wasn't sure what to expect. We stayed in cottage 10 which has 4 bedrooms 2 with a queen bed and 2 with 2 twin beds. The rooms are basic but nice, it has a large open living room and kitchen that includes all the basic necessities it comes with a dishwasher which was nice. The bathroom is small but has a full tub. The resort is showing its age as many amenities were run down or not available. Pros Large cottage spaced out so you have privacy Your own private dock at each cottage Good fishing off the dock, caught a few large mouth bass and a turtle Ceiling fans in each room. Your own canoe at your dock Boat with 10hp motor (additional cost) having the boat was a nice feature allows you to explore the lake and go to the main dock where the water amenities are Use of all water amenities free of charge Lake perfect temperature for swimming, clean and deep no seaweed Cons Lots of step to the water I believe a section of our stairs were missing as we found an older picture of the cottage that shows there were steps originally Our dock was not level and was very wet causing a slip hazard, I had to level it out using some existing cinder blocks. No air conditioning this was not an issue as the nights were cool One of the rooms ceiling fan was off balance and could not be used Water pressure, you could not use more than one faucet at a time or you would lose water pressure so unable to do dishes and take a shower Canoe's seat was broken Some of the water amenities are broken, the peddle boat had 2 broken seat and not enough SUP paddles

In-laws booked a reservation on behalf of my wife and I .. We were pleasantly surprised given the time of year (middle of winter) Staff were friendly, approachable and accommodating. Food was great (app, main and dessert) -Portions were large (upgraded to steak) -well cooked - brought bread to the room at our request with no hesitation. -Very nice table and chairs set up in our room with a view of the lake (dining room was closed) Bed was very comfortable Bathroom was large (very large) Well lit (room and bathroom) I enjoyed the pool (heated) and hot tub. Pool area is well lit and clean Would highly recommend as new owner is turning this place around.
