Samuka Island Retreat is a boutique lodge within a bird Sanctuary with over 50 species of birds. Samuka Island is just off the shores of Jinja, Uganda, only one and half hours away from Kampala but a world away from the crowd. A gentle boat trip from Rumours at the Source of the Nile in Jinja will take the discerning traveler to Samuka Island. With a spectacular waterfront setting, natural beauty, and the option of relaxing in a secluded spot, all combine to make your stay the perfect way to refresh the mind, body, and delight the senses.
We spent two lovely days on Samuka Island, just 25 min by boat from Jinja. It is a small tranquil Island on Lake Victoria with a retreat with pool, restaurant and some Nice cottages for visitors. The staff is very Nice and welcoming, and the service is good. Samuka Island is a place to relax. It is green and lush. It only takes 15 min to walk around the Island, which is packed with all sorts of birds. You Can enjoy the views of Lake Victoria and see local Fishermen fish from wooden canoes. The place offers light activities like swimming in the pool, kayaking, a pool table and darts as Well as the possibility to fish with rods from the shore. I would definitely recommend Samuka Island!

Katara Lodge offers accommodation in eight luxurious cottages on a beautiful stretch of hills overlooking the open savanna in a serene and relaxing atmosphere. Each spacious cottage was hand crafted using locally available materials and combines wooden floors, grass thatched roofs and canvas that can be folded away for uninterrupted views of the park. A romantic roll top bath or invigorating rain shower provide a perfect way to unwind after a thrilling day on safari.
Our room balcony views over the savannah were stunning, rooms were fantastic with large bath tub & great showers. USB phone chargers were very handy ! The restaurant served great food and the staff couldn't be more helpful. They even walked me to my lodge the night I wasn't feeling great after the exertions of the day , a nice touch. This is a top end accommodation and a great base for Game drives in the park. My adult daughter used the swimming pool both days when we got back in while both of us had a glass on wine poolside - highly recommend this place if visiting QE National Pk

Jajama Panorama is a beautiful resort on the shore of Lake Bunyonyi near Kabale in south-west Uganda. It has a large restaurant with wonderful views of the lake and 10 cottages, 7 of which are self-contained. All are built in traditional Ugandan style. It has a large, part-wooded, garden sloping down to the lake . Activities include birding, swimming, hiking, canoeing and motor-boat trips on the lake, including visiting a Batwa(pygmy)tribe.
Excellent service, they even offered our driver a cottage at a fair rate. Warm welcome and lovely setting. I can recommend this location for nature lovers and those looking for a relaxing get a way. There's a deck with a beautiful view.

I had a lovely stay at Wagtail Eco Safari Camp. The staff was really friendly and helpful. They greeted us with some fresh fruit. The room was clean and beautiful. Initially I thought I would do a cultural tour after the gorilla trek, but the room and the garden were so lovely that I decided instead to relax there and enjoy the sound of the birds that were around. The food was delicious as well.

The place is located in the interior of Mukono with a thick forest surrounding it, making it serene. It’s beautiful and big in size to accommodate a number of groups for group activities. They have many facilities that provide you with variety to choose from. Just on the basis of the environment, I would give it a 5. However, they need to improve on customer experience. There’s little enthusiasm among staff and it takes a while to be served...I hope this picture has changed since my last visit in 2020. Overall, I love the environment and I would love to go back at the earliest opportunity I get.

Thank you George for tea and nibbles and a tour of one of the recently upgraded rooms, no 5. All rooms are spacious, self-contained cottages with personal butler / housekeeper service. Clouds is sister to Semliki Safari Lodge, another of my favourite luxury lodges. We're talking classic safari style, superb food and excellent service. They even have a helipad. The sun doesn't always shine in and around Bwindi Impenetrable Forest but when it does, WOW what fantastic views of the Virunga volcano range! #diaryofamuzungu #EastAfricaTravelDirectory #ExploreUganda

The farm is a Paradies with a lot of flowers and very charming hosts close to Fort Portal (about 30 min). Our room was very spacious, the staff very friendly and helpful, and they offer tons of homegrown food for dinner. With the help of the owner we started a very nice tour to the crater lakes with the company "Uganda crater lakes tours" from here. Only minus point: the road to the lodge was a bit tricky after rainfalls. It's best to take the access way from the road a109 (Fort Portal - Kasese).

Our Accommodation is very specious We have both single and double rooms.
This Camping Site is very amazing You need to book in today For me i enjoyed i am very sure you will enjoy your stay too the best place to see lions is around Kasenyi Plains with their well-stocked larder of kob, the tree-climbing lions in Ishasha are a special sight - when I saw them dozing nonchalantly on the boughs of a fig tree, I stayed for an hour, mesmerized.
