Living up to its billing as “The Natural State”, the state is a nature wonderland with three national forests, nearly 9,000 miles of pristine streams and rivers, awe-inspiring settings in the Ozark and Quachita mountains and sparkling lakes. The menu of vacation experiences is an exciting one. For great golf, spas, horse racing and the Hot Springs National Park, Hot Springs is the place to go. Outdoor enthusiasts love the Ozark Mountains where activities like canoeing, rafting, kayaking, fishing, hiking and rock climbing are popular. The mountain village of Eureka Springs, with its streets lined with Victorian homes, is brimming with boutiques, antique shops and art galleries. Wine enthusiasts love the Arkansas Wine Country, encompassing the towns of Paris, Ozark and Altus, where German style wines are produced.
From its ancient mountains to the Delta flatlands leveled by the Mississippi River, the state has a diverse topography with numerous scenic drives. Try the Pig Trail, Ozark Highlands and Sylamore scenic byways in the Ozark National Forest designated by the U.S. Forest Service.
Golfers love the state because greens fees are extremely affordable for great courses. A few excellent public access courses are Sage Meadows in Jonesboro, Stonebridge Meadows in Fayetteville and the Mountain Ranch Course in Fairfield Bay.

At Horseshoe Canyon Ranch, we provide a true western dude ranch experience in the beautiful Ozark Mountain area of Jasper. Experience adventure today!
Our family has great gratitude for this amazing vacation! For perspective: 5.5hr drive, 6.5 days, 7 nights, a 13yr son, 11yr daughter, 80yr Papa and 76yr Nana along with us parents. Everything starts with the incredibly genuine and friendly staff. Each of them are so unique and show their passion and care in everything they do and are a strong foundation of how everything operates for our comfort and adventure. The kitchen and housekeeping staff prepared tasty and bountiful cuisine 3 times per day, and to the minute! (more on that later). Expect to have goats roaming everywhere at all times, that includes on your porch if you are not careful. Expect all the horses, yes even the ones that you partner with to enjoy a trail or 10, to roam freely each evening. Keep that flashlight with ya at night as I had horses often walking up to me unexpectedly begging for a nose-scritch. Solidifies the reality of the ranch for sure. The cabins are current, comfy, AC/Showers, small fridge, microwave, 4cup coffee pot, no TV or wifi (which proved to be awesome) and plenty of space. We had “Grizzly” which was centrally placed, although all cabins equally distant to The Ranch for food, watering hole to refill, wifi (if you need it) or any number of 24hr-snacks. Your activity options are plentiful each morning, afternoon and evening and presented at each meal. Expect the plans to be appropriately fluid due to weather, or the general group you are with (maybe some more horse people, or more climbers, or more laze around-ers, etc). We did a little of everything (trail riding, climbing, via ferrate, hiking, canoeing, ziplining, swimming hole, pool, relaxing, ping pong, movie in the theater), all of them delightful. Anything off ranch we 6 drove separate from the bus as it made it easier for us and simple to follow along, etc. My inlaws did almost everything as well. No lie. The couple times they were tired and wanted to “watch”, the staff accommodated an atv ride to/from the site too. As their websites says, you decide how far you want to activate in all the available activities. Nothing is forced. My wife had a moment on the East side via ferrate where she thought she would quit, but persevered and got further than she thought and happier for it. They offer longer trail rides later in the week, but that is to be sure everyone has proper understanding and safety. Suggestions 1st night walk around to get lay of ranch. Day 1, trail ride to partner a horse for remainder of week. It’s a ranch, it is outdoors and there are animals roaming free. Let that sink in. Plan for ranch and outdoor activity clothes. Free washer/dryer on site. It gets dark, bring light Each person to bring their own non-sweating large water bottle. Trust me on this one, refill in The Ranch. You want to imbibe an adult beverage??? Bring enuff for your time with you. Nothing nearby or on site to purchase. Towels for cabin and swimming provided, bring swimsuit and water shoes (canoeing and water hole activity) Plan to disconnect from wifi and cellular for all but meals. You will like it. Know that going in. Be on time for meals, they are punctual. You will never go hungry but don’t be late. Try everything. The staff does a superb job of turning your I CANT DO into I CAN DO. Trust me. Your SAFETY comes before anything else. Be upfront honest with your horse abilities cause these wranglers will figure out within minutes anyhow. Bring your own coffee, pot and fixins if you are snob about it. not that their’s was bad, but the cabin one is small. Go make a pot in the Ranch anytime you want. We never do the same vacation twice, as that is sorta our thing to be sure we have new experiences, but our kids are begging for a re-visit.

Our home, which is located on 20 acres, on top of a mountain over looking hundreds of undeveloped wooded acreage, is a much loved and pampered place. It is shaded by huge old oak trees, a rock garden alive with flowers, and soothing sounds of a trickling brook, gently water falling into a lily laden fish pond. Walk the lighted pathway, through the water garden, cross the natural rock bridge and rest for a while - to enjoy the sounds of nature. Come share in the breathtaking views...
We found this wonderful spot while searching with a combination of filters, which included a cabin not far from Eureka Springs and other landmarks, like Beaver Lake and Thorncrown Chapel, a glorious view, and a quiet setting with luxury accommodations, such as a spacious tub and fireplace. We enjoyed Barn Rose for all that and more, including lovely touches inside and out. The owner was in friendly and timely contact with us. The pricing was just on point for two educators for a getaway.

We have been to Retreat at Skye Ridge 3 times. First time was for valentines in 2018. We took our 2 dogs at the time. We loved the fact that the cabins were far enough apart to have privacy yet close enough to feel safe. The next time was in summer of 2019. We took our 3 fur babies with us . They loved being able to take long walks on the winding road. We loved being able to drive only a few minutes and be in Eureka Springs where there are many things to do and see. Our third time was in Feb. of 2020. Three fur babies with us and we stayed in our favorite cabin #10. We love it there and plan on going back soon.

We loved the space and cleanliness of the Lodge. It was perfect for our visit. Comfortable beds, nice linens and well stocked kitchen. The grounds were beautiful and well maintained. This would be 5 stars but we were uncomfortable with the owners wife entering our units several times without even knocking. We felt like it was Inappropriate to be in our unit both while we were there and while we were away, ** after talking with the owner I think this was just a misunderstanding after a horrible storm. The owners wife did tell the members of our party that they could stay in the bottom unit because they has slept in the beds during the storm. They thought it meant for the duration of our stay. We would never have stayed there otherwise. I think it would have been nice if we had been told that they needed to come in the unit to do laundry and to get household items for the other unit. Again, just a misunderstanding and lack of communication. We loved the Lodge and hope to return there on our next visit. It really was an exceptional place to stay.

My husband & I renewed our vows here. We stayed 4 nights & wish we could’ve stayed longer! Ms. Debbie was amazing!! She was so sweet & accommodating during our stay. The pictures alone were worth the price of our stay. ❤️

Five minutes from Eureka Springs, each cabin sits on 2-3 acres all by itself. Full kitchens, sunken living room, Jacuzzi for two, huge master bath! Covered decks with porch swing and grill. Wood burning fireplace from October 1-April 15. Privacy, views, nature...Very romantic for adults only, no pets. Vaulted ceilings, fans, stained glass windows, full wall mirrors, Bluray DVD player, walking trails. If you want to get away, but not be too far from the action, Hidden Valley is the place. Directly across the highway from Thorncrown Chapel in Eureka Springs.
We do several weddings a year with Tandy. Not only is she so professional, but her venue is where dreams are made. If you are planning a destination wedding I highly recommend booking here! Hidden Valley Ranch is incredibly beautiful!

We stayed in the Cabins for a weekend getaway. It was our first time to stay there and it was incredible! The view was amazing from the deck and the cabins were far enough apart that it felt private. As well as having all the amenities, it was clean, and fully stocked with utensils that I needed to cook. All the appliances workEd and the other things were a breeze to figure out. The layout was pretty and the decor and everything was great! The bed was really comfortable. And it was all clean! Which was nice to not have to worry about. The only things that “could” be considered a problem ( I use that term lightly) was that we saw was that the fridge was turned off when we got there and there was a slight musky smell. But the owner had air freshener in the cabin and the fridge was an easy fix all we had to do was turn the dial to make it cold. It’s was a great place to stay. We highly recommended it, and we will be returning next year. It’s was really in budget and totally well priced for what we saw and experienced. It was worth every penny.

Beautiful Vacation Cottage located in downtown Eureka Springs, offering the whole property for groups or individual suites for nightly lodging. Off street parking, WIFI, full kitchens, and outdoor hot tub.
The Border House has been a great option on more than one occasion for a friend and I to stay during our Eureka visits. Know that the service is hands-off, although I was able to easily reach someone by phone when I had a question on the first day of my stay. Otherwise, the room is open and you'll find the keys on the table. Location - among the very best in downtown Eureka Springs. Parking is available and you can walk a short distance to the main drag of shops. This walk does include steps and some hills like most of Eureka. Parking is available in front of or to the side of the House so you could always drive the short distance if someone has difficulty walking. You're really close to downtown but off the main path enough you still have a quiet setting. The House - We stayed in the Basin View room. The room was nicely furnished and fairly spacious with 2 queen beds. The kitchenette was stocked with microwave, small refrigerator, ice cubes, hand soap, coffee supplies, silverware, basic dishes/glasses and a wine bottle opener. There are some soft chairs for lounging and a small kitchen table for eating. The bathroom was shower only and stocked with towels, bath mat, hand soap, shampoo, body wash and hair dryer - all complete. The best part is the front porch where you can lounge and see directly through the trees to the Basin Park hotel (hence, the name). There is also a deck on the side with patio furniture you can use as well. If you had a large group it would be worth renting multiple or all rooms. Unless I was electing to stay at one of the historic hotels, I can't imagine staying anywhere else in Eureka. The location is prime and the room set up allows you to store leftovers or snacks, enjoy your coffee or beverages inside or on the porch - it's covered so good even when it rains.

With the Coronavirus outbreak, we were forced to travel to move a college student out of their dorm. Rather than stay in a hotel, we opted for something quieter, and more private. To our delight, we found Deer Hollow Ranch and Cabins at the last minute. We stayed in cabin 5 which is by itself at the bottom of a hill. Very quiet, very scenic, lovely cabin, and very clean. Owners were delightful folks that gave us good advice about stopping to get food and breakfast before driving out. It was only 5 miles off the main route we were on- I-49, and worth every penny. The cabin had heating and air conditioning, along with a kitchen, full bathroom, adn even a hot tub on the front porch if we wanted! Peaceful. calming and wonderful, very reasonably priced as well.
