This small B&B is genuinely exceptional. The hosts are warm and friendly, the rooms are beautifully appointed, the food is wonderful and the location and setting is excellent. The room: This wouldn't be out of place in a high class 5 star hotel - they are very modern with a large comfortable bed, quality linen and immaculate bathroom complete with 'rain shower'. The food: Having read other reviews, we prebooked dinner which is taken with the hosts and this was very nice. It began with a Champagne aperitif and Hors d'oeuvres, then a very tasty main meal of fillet of pork with green beans and jacket potato, table wine & bread basket, followed by cheese and biscuits and a wonderful dessert too. Breakfast was excellent too with a selection of pastries, juice, coffee, breads, home made preserves, fruit and we also had eggs too. Parking: We travelled here by motorcycle and so parking was very important. The drive down to the property is quite steep but has been newly tarmacked (ignore the gravel seen on Streetview) and the bikes were quite safe here. Internet: Wi-fi was fast, reliable and free and multiple devices could be connected concurrently. This is a great place to stay and we will definitely book again if we travel this way again.

The pizzas in this place were delicious. We were 13 people looking for an evening meal, we booked ahead and once we arrived were given a private dining room at the back. We were therefore able to have a lot of fun without disturbing other diners.

This ancient typical house is beautiful. The rooms are decorated with care and taste. There is a big garden and pool area, very quiet and relaxing. Sophie and David are great hosts. We will definitely go back.

This B&B is in a wonderful, big old house which has been carefully renovated with many personal details of the owner, about 2 km outside Dieulefit where we went to have dinner. When you come to Domaine La Francoise you just want to spend all time there. There is a swimming pool and a lovely Jacuzzi to relax in. The garden is very big with some shaded areas. Breakfast was terrific. Parking in the yard in front of the house felt very safe. It was a good choice to stay here and not in the medival village Poet Laval - instead we walked up there, partly by an old huguenot walking trail, through the beautiful landscape.

My husband and I stayed at this guesthouse for two nights in September. The host, Laurent, was so friendly and accommodating. We had a delicious breakfast for a very reasonable price. The room itself was very clean and modern and met all our requirements. The house is in a tranquil setting and it was very quiet at night. This is a great place to stay if you are dining at Paul Bocuse or if you want a peaceful break from the city. Although Laurent very graciously gave us lifts to various places, I would recommend having a car. There is a bus to Lyon nearby but it runs infrequently, about every 45 minutes. We can't thank Laurent enough for making our stay so fun and enjoyable. His English is very good and we shared many laughs together.

Up in the hills lays the beautiful, old Maison Forestière. We loved it right away with the warm welcome of Mrs Michelle Kunz and the large bed-room with the antique furniture, but still a very comfortable big bed in it. Also the bath-room was large and the shower very new. There was no sound at all during the night! We also liked the 3 course dinner served by Michelle and the nice chat we had with her and other hosts.

Chalet Patineur is a beautiful 14 bed catered chalet in Tignes Les Brevieres. Open for winter and summer bookings make the most out of incredible views from our rooms and large balcony with hot tub. Family and twin rooms available with recently renovated en suite bathrooms.
We stayed here with family, a party of 10 (5 adults, 5 kids) and booked the whole chalet out so felt quite spacious. The Wii was a hit with the kids and they had a bit of space to play away from the adults which was good! The chalet felt very authentic with a real log fire that we lit on a couple of occasions.. The hot tub was lovely with views across the mountains. There were also separate towels provided for the hot tub. Jamie was our host and did a brilliant job of looking after us all week! Nothing seemed too much trouble... even our request for a Victoria Sponge cake for us getting in from the slopes! The meals he prepared were tasty and he adapted them for the kids. The location of the chalet is really good. It is a two minute walk to the pedestrian lift which takes you straight down to the main lift in les brevieres. There are a couple of restaurants in les brevieres which was nice on a lunch time and a couple of bars with plenty of things going on on an evening. Would definitely recommend staying in les brevieres as a cheaper option to explore Tignes ski area!
