One month before our stay in Arad I talked on the phone with the owner who assured me that they have rooms, they are ok with the fact that we were going to bring our 1 year old with us and told me that although they do not have a baby bed themselves it is ok to bring one. A few days before we travelled to Romania I called again talking to the other owner (they are a couple) who told me that she’s not sure a baby bed will fit the room, probably not. It was too late for us to find something else so we kept the reservation. We arrived at 10 or even a bit later to do our check-in and was asked by the owner whom I had spoken to first “What are you doing here?”. I honestly did not understand his question and said we are just there to get the room we booked. Then he asked if it is a vacation or work and when I said vacation he proceeded to tell me that their place is not for vacation, it’s a transit place and that there will be a lot of noise until 3PM, that the pool won’t be open until 3PM every day etc. Thought his attitude was ridiculous as we had spoken before, it was late in the evening so I paid for 2 weeks in advance and took the room as we had a tired baby with us after a full day of travelling. In the coming days it was clear that the two owners, who live on the premises and are constantly breathing down your neck, checking your every move and doing the casual eye-rolling, had an issue with us having brought a kid. They had a baby high chair which they never offered and when I asked if we can use it they made a huge deal out of it, the chair was apparently “too heavy and needs to be taken out the window” and I needed to tell them way in advance when I want to use it. This was obviously ridiculous. Anyway, few incidents later and after they decided to tell me to my face that our room was very dirty because of my child I told them that if they are so unhappy with us being there then I am happy to leave and get the money for the rest of our stay back. Initially the owner said that we should not leave but after discussing with his wife he came back half an hour later and told me it’s better if we do leave. I asked him if i was unclear on the phone when I told him that we’ll bring a young child and he said “yes, i think we did not understand ourselves right” confirming that they do not welcome children in their precious bed & breakfast (not sure about the breakfast btw, we were never offered one). Apparently he was very very bothered with the fact that the sheets had a fruit stain on them, like the amount we were paying was not for cleaning also. I have stayed in many hotels in my life but never have I been questioned or scolded about my sheets. Anyway, in the time span of half an hour we were left with no place to stay and had to find something else on spot, with a small child and all our luggage. All in all the two owners are spiteful people and act like you are some distant relative who came to stay at their home for free and won’t leave, when in fact you are staying there on your own money. The fact that they have an issue with children is even more ridiculous and I clearly do not recommend this place with or without children.

The staff is very rude! The barmaid practically throws us out from the location because she couldn’t handled 4 tables. We couldn’t order anything to eat because she was unable to take orders. Very frustrated lady!! I can’t imagine how this kind of person can work in public services. I don’t recommend at all!!!

This was our place to stop on our way from bucharest to austria. After a small mix-up with our reservation (asked for the 5 bed apartment but it wasn't available any more) we were offered 2 rooms at the same price (way better choice, thank you!). Our host made sure we were more than welcome, even when we arrived kind of late. She even called us while we were on our way back to ask if we need hosting for the night :) Thanks for the coffee and biscuits! And we'll surely stop again if we're nearby

I was there last week for business reason, had booked a single room for four night. Room was clean, in order and moreover with air conditioning. Also location is very good: just few chilometers from center, in a green and quiet area. There's a garden with a veranda and a car place. Moreover, service is very good: owners are extremely available and polite. Price was also convenient: 25 euro per night plus 5 for breakfast. The only problem was wifi: the last two days it didn't work at all. I hope they already fixed.
