It was everything we needed, clean, comfortable beds, and air conditioning that worked, 30 seconds from the beach and the staff was the best. Reviewed By B3284WNmomof2The employees are very nice and helpful. The room was clean. The room really needs an update. The old paint, stained tub and curtains makes it feel dirty. New paint, curtains and tub resurfacing would go a long way. The elevator is very old. Stay on a lower floor if you’d rather do stairs. Location is great, which is what you’re paying for.

Perfect for our needs
Reviewed By 891pamelatI moved away from the area some time ago, and I knew this place was near to the beach/"drag strips" of Atlantic and Pacific Avenues, so I expected night noise. My adult son and I went down to visit a relative, and stayed here in separate rooms. It's a downscale hotel, not 5-star by any stretch, but I would rather stay in a place like this, anyway. I'm not a 5-star person. Our rooms were fine, the noise level wasn't bad in the hotel or on the street (but it was January at the beach, to be fair), and we were perfectly comfortable. The housekeeping staff was fine with us not wanting our rooms cleaned till we left. We stayed for 3 nights. We had rooms beside each other, and my newly minted adult did not bother me with his young adult noise in his room (TV, music, food deliveries). I'd absolutely stay there again. I don't expect to need to, until an event eventually happens, and I hope I'll be able to bring my cat with me at that time, as it might (or might not) be an extended stay. I clicked "not sure" about irons or safes or hair dryers, as I didn't need those, so didn't notice or pay attention.

Parking is free but limited to one parking spot per room. Guests will be issued a parking pass with arrival and departure dates. Parking pass must always be displayed in car while parked at the property.

Reviewed By Armadillo63Easy walking distance to beach, restaurants, shopping for less than half of what you would spend in a fancy hotel. We were at the end with the pool so no parking in front of our door. (meaning nice & quiet) But you have to be willing to put up with less than ideal circumstances. Mattress was covered in some kind of plastic that was not only noisy but made it hot. Carpeted floor had a soaking wet spot between the beds - luckily just water. No hairdryers, no iron, no coffee makers. Bathtub did not drain properly. Door could not have been pushed open from outside without a great deal of trouble, but we couldn't get deadbolt to work from inside. AC was noisy. But nothing that financially challenged people can't deal with :)

The room smelled like weed as soon as we walked in! When you initially look around it seemed ok, so we decided to stay. Then as I examined closer it just was not really clean! I would never come here again! It was just gross!

First got into room sink shelf broken..Called maintenance and they said they are aware but won’t be able to fix… no room for ur bathroom products had to place on the back of toilet… On top of that went out and came back no parking spots available at 6pm..I booked suite and I got reg room no stove small fridge that seems to not even work…nice location but graffiti in room! Made me feel like I was in the projects again… not a get away at all!!!!!!!

Power tools at 2:30am
Reviewed By suzmiceliAt 1:40am in the morning we had a noise complaint- sounded like banging in the room next door, and neighbors running around outside, which turned into the use of a power drill. We called the front desk and they stated maintenance was drilling into room 220 (the room we stayed in) and they are authorized to work until 2:35am. With no warning, or idea we were ready to call the cops. The next morning I went downstairs to talk to the lady working at the front desk. She had no idea what I was talking about. I told her it happened from 1:50-2:40 AM last night. -DO NOT STAY HERE.

Worst Hotel Ever - Dirty and Unsanitary
Reviewed By wwanderrThis is the worst hotel I ever stayed in. It was dirty and unsanitary, which is particularly upsetting given the current public health crisis. The toilet seat was dirty and there was urine on the edge of the toilet bowl. The floors had not been vacuumed or cleaned. The microwave was filthy and the plastic cover for a plastic cup had been ripped open. I was awakened in the middle of the night by loud banging from another room and discovered a large insect climbing on the wall.

WORST HOTEL IN VIRGINIA BEACH!!
Reviewed By 489noahhme, my father, and my dog were checking into this hotel to enjoy our weekend at the beach. The 1st room we checked into had urine on the toilet and the bed looked like it was already slept in. Seeing this my father went to get another room, when I entered the second room I turned on the lamp, all of a sudden, the power went out. We contacted the manager and he came up to check. Keep in mind this is a pet friendly hotel, he mentioned on the hotel website that we had a dog. THE MANAGER said we were HIDING our dog and that we were in the wrong. The manager continued to verbally harass my father and then the manager threatened to call the police!!! WE WILL NEVER BE COMING BACK.
