I have stayed in HIE for work and pleasure since the brand started. This one is lacking. Clerk at check in seemed overwhelmed by the check in procedure for the guest before me and never even acknowledged that I was there until she was done with him ( a good 10 minutes). It then took her literally 10 seconds to give me my key as I had done pre checkin. The room was marginal. The shower curtain was ripped and they neglected to paint around the door bumper on the wall when they replaced it. Very small tv. Decent parking. Good cookies on the coffee bar. No longer have copies of the USA Today like in the past. Breakfast was typical HIE and was ok. Check out person was friendly and efficient. It just felt that this hotel is in need of a serious refurbishment.

Be carful on what you reserve as 1 or 2 adults!

Nice place to stay and friendly staff. The 1st room we stayed as reserved was two double beds put smelled like piss. So, the friendly staff moved us to a single Queen bed(no price change) as it was much better and felt it was a remodeled room(much nicer). But we were charged an extra $26.00 because I had my wife sign us in and they tell her since it was reserved with one adult that with two there was another charge! Well, when I register with one or two the invoice didn't change price at all. So, why did we get charged the extra $$$ ? Original bill was: Total for Stay $183.58 USD Then it went up to: Total for Stay $209.86 USD Then they tried to add another $12.00 per night on top of that! I went into the office about it and they took $10.00 off so the bill came to a total of: $219.86....big difference from $183.58 :(

Just hope you don't have weather!

When we arrive, we had no TV! They said the wind must have blown the dish off signal, I did not notice any high winds. Then the power went out, but they did have a backup generator, for heat only! No lights! Power did come on in the middle of the night, great! Then in the morning, No hot water! When I discussed all the issues with the front desk they said it was a act of God and I agreed but mentioned that their generator was inadequate and only hooked to heat and not lights and their response was they did not have a generator! Wow I must be stupid to think that when power is out it all doesn't go out! I did mention maybe a slight discount might be in order and they said owner said no! Not even any sort of apology for all of the inconvenience. I highly doubt I will ever stay there again!

Great for the price

I haven't stayed in a Motel 6 for literally decades (when I was a little kid), and didn't really know what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised and enjoyed my experience. The rooms here are hardwood, appeared clean, and there were few signs of wear. The shower cubicle was really nice, and seemed newish. There was a wooden table and a couple of wooden chairs in the room (the only furniture). There was free wifi although it was a little weak. No breakfast here, but free coffee in the morning. The staff (long haired dude) was super nice and professional. For $60 a night, great bargain. It is a place to take a shower and sleep. The only issue with this place is that it is an exit away from the city center, and there were no fast food places within walking distance, just a few gas stations.
