Home to the University of Florida, the largest and oldest university in the state, as well as the Santa Fe Community College, Gainesville is a hub of education and culture. Perhaps due to its strong student population, the city is also at the heart of independent music in Florida, having produced numerous musical acts from a variety of genres. The natural surroundings, including parks, lakes and the adjacent Paynes Prairie State Reserve provide a green getaway from the bustle of city life.

Other Gainesville area attractions, businesses and points of interest near our motel include: Butterfly Rain Forest, Numerous Natural Springs, University of Florida, the VA hospital, Veterinary Hospital, Bear Archery Museum (1 mile away), Nationwide Insurance, Florida Museum of Natural History (3 miles away), Kanapaha Botanical Gardens (4 miles away), and Gainesville Raceway (12 miles away).
My two teens and I stayed at the Super 8 for a weekend in March 2022. Our room was updated and clean. We especially appreciated the nice laminate flooring, as there's nothing grosser than old hotel carpet. The beds were comfortable and we all slept well. There were no noises or smells in our room. The bathroom has been renovated and sparkled with bright new tile and fixtures. The only suggestion I would make is to switch the water pressures of the sink and the shower. Low pressure in the shower was challenging, whereas I nearly blasted myself through the wall when I turned on the sink. Minor annoyances at most. The kids swam in the pool, which was clean during our stay. I can't comment on the complimentary breakfast because we did not partake. The location is perfect... you are an average of five minutes from dozens of restaurants and stores and right next to I-75. All in all, it was worth the bargain price.

Smelly and filthy place to stay. I do not recombed any one to stay in this hotel. Its a dump. Very dirty and not well maintained. Bed spread is full of stains and musky and moldy. The room and hall ways are dirty and not healthy at all. The hotel is not safe and prostitutes in the parking lot

Situated adjacent to the University of Florida on SW 13th Street, Home2 Suites by Hilton Gainesville, FL is just minutes from Gainesville's hospitals and medical centers and dining. Gainesville's regional airport is also just nine miles away. Each suite features a Working Wall—that’s the fully equipped kitchen, work area and storage—HDTV, and complimentary WiFi. Start each morning with a complimentary Inspired Table™ breakfast and multitask at our combined laundry and fitness facility, Spin2Cycle, where you can run a load of washing while you exercise.
This hotel is filthy and not representative of other Hilton Home2 locations. The hallway rugs were stained along the entire length. The room was equally dirty on the walls, rugs and sofa. In retrospect we should have left but we arrived around 9 pm exhausted after a full day of driving. The water pressure was low and the breakfast closed at 9 am.

When I first walked in I looked at the sheets to make sure they they were clean and they had stains on them. Before entering in my room there were a ton of cigarette butts all over the ground 911 with people smoking weed outside and also in the bathroom discovered to dirty towels after opening them up as if they look like they were used. For the amount of money that I paid it was definitely not worth it. Not to mention 20 minutes before I depart to go back to Atlanta housekeeping knocks on my door to try to start their day early which I felt rushed.

My family and I were exploring Gainesville due to me being accepted into a PhD program at UF. We were looking for budget motels in the area so we found this one. Big Mistake and stay away. Ants were already moved into our room, partying by some shady characters was happening at the other property. Everything about the place smelled of mildew and failure as a hotel.

The only good thing about the place, was the service, convenient location and that it was cheap, but the room itself, get some housekeeping and maintenance help that cares cause the room is a disaster, it is filthy and definitely needed some things repaired, but all in all, I would not return.
