This little motel is absolutely wonderful. Front desk friendliness and easy checkin. We requested a bottom floor room as we had so much stuff to bring in and it’s a walk up. No problem for them. The room is recently renovated and it is so cute. Excellent television, fridge and microwave in a space saver cabinet. Desk and chair, great lighting. Beds were gorgeous….white bedding and oh so cozy. Floor needs a mat as we tracked in outside sand and I had to wipe it down as I hate getting that in my bed. But for the excellent price this room was perfect We may book here again on the way back. Lisa

The Plains Motel is perfect for those of you on a tight budget, we are a smart choice. Our rooms are clean, comfortable and all come with free wireless, mini-fridges and microwaves. Several rooms with larger kitchenettes are also available, and there’s free coffee in the lobby. Stock up across the street at the IGA, open 24/7, or find well-priced meals next door. Relax in our indoor pool and sauna, and do a load of laundry in our on-site laundry room. We are a favourite place to stay for budget-minded travelers needing a good night sleep at the end of a long day
Helpful staff and clean room. I stayed in the main build room 116 and the was clean. The air condition was great and had a good night sleep on a very hot summer day. The budget motel is a gem in Brooks, AB. Will certainly stay here again and will recommend it.

I'm usually pretty forgiving and upbeat about everything but I need to put out the truth here. Stayed here 2 1/2 years ago and things have declined. Reason to give 2 instead of 1 star was the excellent price. This time I don't believe I got what I paid for. Room upon entering had a weird smell kind of like and old carpeted barroom. Smelled as if they converted it from smoking to nonsmoking without any changes other than the no smoking sign on the door. Pillows smelled like fresh perm solution. Tried to turn on tv but didn't work. Upon investigation I found everything was unplugged. Kids hollering and running up and down halls then they went into parking lot screaming at the top of their lungs and running between vehicles (past normal kids bedtime). Best was upon checkout to find a breakfast in a bag. It would be ok if it was somewhat nutritional but sweet junk food other than slice of dry raisin bread and yogurt. They need to take a few notes from their bigger sister Days Inn.

Stayed here on several occasions as it's right in the middle of town, close to everything you need and it's pretty well you get what you pay for. The owners have always been accomodating and friendly and never had any problems while staying at property. If your looking for a quick and cheap place for the night, I'd recommend here. The only thing I'd have to complain about (considering it's only $60/night) is the WiFi. There are too many different WiFi routers and not even sure which one is for what and all different passwords....

Well this motel got me the worst booking for the road trip from my wife. When we pulled up it looked uninviting. From there things went downhill. The motorcycle and gas can in the reception (is that even safe) set the ambiance. The owner is Chinese and tries so very hard. Nothing is too much trouble for him. He is reception, cleaner, cook and waiter. Wife didn't like first room and we were moved to another not quite so bad. This place caters mainly for oil workers so is bog basic. Bed and bath was clean if really old and decrepit. WiFi was patchy, fading in and out. Breakfast was deep fried with coffee to wash it down. I'm not posh so it was not out of my comfort zone but otherwise consider carefully if this is for you. The price is dirt cheap so if that is your criteria it may be right for you.
