With its Roman ruins, art installations, and white-sand beach, Zadar is one of the most unique resorts along Croatia’s Dalmatian coast, where in-the-know travelers come to feast on seafood, watch dreamy sunsets, and sip cocktails at oceanside bars.

We stayed one night in Zadar before heading to one of the local islands. The apartment is large and clean, with a jacuzzi on the terrace next to an outside-only kitchen. The bedrooms were sizeable and had full air conditioning (a must in summertime). The location is very good, just a short walk to the local markets, and lots of restaurants within a minute walk. Ferry services to local islands just a short walk too. Outside its control is the nightclub noise which can be nearby - but this wasn't an issue for us (although it is a growing problem for Zadar). Probably an ideal short-stay stopover in the summer but not sure how it would work in the winter with the outdoor kitchen.

A family run 3 guest room Guest House, with views onto the Sea Lagoon just at the entrance to Zadar Old Town and 3 minutes direct walk from the Airport Suttle bus stop. On the first floor with all rooms having ensuite facilities, underfloor heating, air conditioning and a small fridge. Whilst not serving breakfast complementary tea and coffee making facilities are supplied in each room and a cookie jar and local "travarica" and rooms are fitted with twin single beds but they may be pushed together. There is free in room wifi. The property is the first building on the left as you enter onto the Zadar Old Town peninsular. It is really easy to find.
Clean spacious room and balcony eating area. Great location and lovely hostess. We didn’t have adequate hot water and probably low heater to save energy. They asked the aircon to be off when out of room. Overly scented cleaning supplies but room was not clean enough for five stars. Enjoyed our stay and no big problems.

You can't go wrong with this place. Silent place, really clean, everything you need is provided but most important the hospitality is amazing. People that love what they do and they care to make you feel at home. We were welcomed by a smiling man with an umbrella on a really rainy day. Thank you for everything. It was awesome.

It was clean and nicely decorated, a good base for our 2 night stay in Zadar. I would recommend it for a short stay - good value. The entrance and stairs to the multiple apartments looks a bit dodgy but the room was absolutely fine. No views but you're slap bang in the centre. A bit of a faff getting the key from the office (the location for breakfast too, at adjacent restaurant) but only a 2min walk. We got lucky with some free parking, a 15min walk from the hotel room. The sunset at Zadar is an absolute must, together with the sea organ and 'sun salutation'.

Dejan and his grandmother are incredible hosts. I was in a spacious room with private bathroom, fridge and A/C in their home. A small kitchen was also available for guests and if that wasn't enough I could use their kitchen. Super fast free WiFi was available. N.B. If you pay A LOT less than accommodation in the Old Town, logically enough you have to travel to the sights. Walking from Dejan's in the morning downhill might be OK, walking back uphill after sightseeing in the hottest part of the day less so. The solution - bus 7! It runs till late, half-hourly Monday to Friday, hourly at weekends. Tickets are 10 Kuna but this goes down to 8 Kuna per ticket if you buy a 2-journey ticket (normal in Croatia) from any tisak. Although in the suburbs, there is a fast food joint and a mini-market at the nearby intersection.
