Excellent location, great property with infinity pool, courteous and extremely helpful staff. Even the food was excellent. Special thanks to the staff who took care of minute details (Jain food) and prepared food accordingly. We had a great time in this property.

Raniban Retreat is perched on a secluded ridge top 700m above The Phewa lake, and the town of Pokhara.Reach us by rowing boat and trekking on a well made trail, or by road in 15 minutes from Lakeside, and you will be a world away from the grime and noise of Lakeside tourist hotels. The World Peace Pagoda is our only neighbour. The stunning view is what really makes us special. From our rooms and terraces we enjoy heart stopping views to the mighty Annapurna range, Phewa Lake, and the Peace Stupa. All our rooms are cosy when it's colder, cool when it's hot and look out onto the stunning view to the north. Our excellent restaurant menu features seasonal specials, and many dishes feature herbs and vegetables grown in our own organic gardens.
In case of accommodation everybody love their own house the most. On that note i can say I have a heavenly house in Pokhara on the hilltop of Raniban with a breathholding view of the Himalayas and tranquility that's called "Raniban Retreat." Site head Pradip Dai (a true gentleman) driver Dasu Ram ji they became like family member. And the director Akshov ji, how helpful he is! We stayed there for 4 nights and we shall recall these memories and hospitality of them till our last breath. And i don't know what to tell about the delicious & fresh meals we had there. I can only say, we will must be back there again and again if almighty allows. I wish Raniban Retreat may go a very long way and provide hospitality to the nature-lovers & seekers of peace for upcoming thousands of years.

At Nanohana Lodge, we always tend to reduce the impact our daily operations may have on the environment. We do not make promises we cannot keep, but we know that every single step taken in the right direction will help us eventually reach our target. Nanohana Lodge is bequeathed to Kul Bahadur Acharya by his father, who started a lodge in central lakeside some 27 years ago under the name of New Star Lodge. For Kul Bahadur delivering quality services stands above all considerations. He also understands the importance of following sustainable practices, in words as well as in deeds, in the operation of such facilities. Host at Nanohana Lodge, Pokhara, Nepal knowing that whatever resources seem abundant today will not remain as such forever, and moved by the rising scarcity of water in Kathmandu and other parts of Nepal, he is committed to minimise its use. "The ruthless exploitation of the existing resources and a disregard of our cultural values for the sake of immediate benefits only drive us towards long term harms," he shares his concerns about rising crowds and careless spate of constructions underway in the lakeside. So he shifted from central Lakeside to found Nanohana Lodge just opposite to his own residence, where he has paid every concern to co-exist with the natural surroundings. "You do not have to be a rocket scientist to find workable solutions for every single problem. Common sense is all you need," he often says. And common sense is his greatest strength, it seems. Although most of his fellow hoteliers went for costlier flush systems in their toilets, he simply resolved to use discarded mineral water bottles wisely, to save two litres of water per flush cycle. Amazingly, it works, and without compromising the main purpose -- keeping the toilets clean. Nothing can encourage us better than your cooperation plus any new ideas you can share with us about sustainabile tourism.
This is by far the cleanest hotel you'll find! The location could not be better, about a 3 minute walk to the lake, near the wonderful park. Super nice people running and working at Nanohana Lodge. They will bend over backwards to help you with anything you should need. Incredibly clean, hot water anytime of the day, good WIFI. Super quiet at night, comfortable bed, and the price is right. So affordable! You'll be hard pressed to find a better place to stay in Pokhara.

Welcome to Little Pilgrims Lodge! Little Pilgrims Lodge is a magical place enveloped in natural Himalayan splendor. Situated 50m. Above the serene Fewa lake, which is Nepal's second largest lake, Little Pilgrims exhibits the panoramic portrait of the World peace pagoda and surrounding jungle atop the hill opposite. Located on the outskirts of town makes for a tranquil and relaxing place to stay. Fresh mountain air and peaceful environment compliment this family run enterprise and makes Little Pilgrims Lodge truly unique and unlike any place you have been to before. Our environmentally friendly and sustainable way of living uses local produce from the local farms in surrounding villages to supply our restaurant which actively supports the local community. By incorporating a solar power backup light system for the whole building, blackouts are never an issue. Hot water is also produced from the sun.
If you're staying in North lakeside, then this is your place. Quiet, clean, friendly and well run. Best is the balcony views as the place is up the hill a bit. It's a safe place to store your things while trekking.

Spread along the quiet banks of the Narayani river from across the Chitwan National Park, Nana Jungle Resort opens up a serene wilderness experience with all the comforts of a modern resort. Here you can explore the National Park with our wildlife team, experience authentic Tharu culture and cuisine at the local villages or simply relax and with family and friends in your private chalets.
After a really hectic few days of travel, I found the right place to relax and recuperate at Nana Jungle Resort in Amaltari. Right away, it felt like home. On arrival, I was greeted by the Director/Manager- Vivek and his excellent team- Jhul, Som and Jit, with friendly smiles and their warm hospitality. I loved the view tower overlooking the grasslands and the Narayani river. Although Safaris into the National Park were not possible then, due to the rising water levels of the Narayani, the beautiful birds in the garden and the captivating sunsets on the horizon, were mesmerising ! I would not really recommend the jeep drives into the Community forest as there are droves of vehicles with noisy guests who are complete litterbugs! The drive into the Buffer zone itself is way too distant ! I would recommend visiting Nana to anyone who is looking for a break and a home, close to the jungle, with the brightest & warmest of smiles. Thank you, Nana Team !

We enjoyed the hospitalty of the Mountain View Resort, especially local tours with Sundip, the owner. The place is very well located to enjoy views on the Himalayan range (if not foggy). Room was nice and tidy, food (lunch, dinner, breakfast) is tasty and the service excellent. Recommend!

The hotel is run by a very experienced person who worked in the hospitality and tourism business 15 yrs as a receptionist on the hotel. Now I open myself. So proud to say when you will here you know about that. -- Very friendly and helpful staff always here to help you and give you a warm Nepalese welcome. Family and friendly environment.- Clean, pleasant rooms with spacious bathrooms - hot water from solar panels .- Great location! On a small street off the main road in Lakeside, 5 min. walk from the lake, dozens of restaurants, coffee shops, stores, etc...... VERY QUIET, but convenient to all the best of Pokhara!- Comfortable beds and quiet area - rare treasure in Nepal!= Large balconies with lovely views of the garden and the Annapurna mountain range, and even more stunning views from the rooftop- Free WiFi on patio, in garden and rooms- Lovely patio, plants and flowers everywhere- huge poinsettias growing all around, in many colors,- Small restaurant for breakfast lunch and dinner. !- VERY REASONABLE rates! - Back up power in every room, for the famous and frequent Nepalese power cuts- Small TVs with cable and HBO. No telephones in the room.........who needs them?!- Lots of good advice on excursions, paragliding, trekking, travel tickets, etc, if you need. And our motto is come as a guest and go as a family member like a home away from home.
Reviews written by people with no dignity. 10+ years in the business and not a single renovation or fix. Leaky bathtubs, faulty electrical sockets, old disgusting furniture. Being a pothead central, a lovely place for poverty-striken Pokhara hippies.
