The jungles and monsoon forests of Vietnam are diverse ecosystems that are alive with unique wildlife. Trekking is a popular activity here, particularly the mountains of Sapa and the primeval landscape of Cuc Phuong National Park. For a more urban escape, take a guided food tour of Ho Chi Minh City, making sure to squeeze in visits to the historic Hoi Truong Thong Nhat palace and the intricately adorned Emperor Jade Pagoda.

A wonderful and peaceful place to experience the Mekong Delta, right on the riverfront. Room was nice, clean and spacious, dinner was great and breakfast offered a big selection of local treats and excellent Vietnamese coffee. Most important, the manager Mr Khoa was always present to assist in any way possible, and the local staff were always helpful with a smile.

Offering quality rooms at affordable prices with WiFi, AC, hot water, help organising tours, onward travels & more. In a quiet, hidden alleyway off the main road only 1 mins walk to the markets & river. Feel at home and as part of the family with options to join in the evening meal, eat the never ending plates of fruit, drink the never empty pots of tea or even learn how to cook Vietnamese style!
Ms Ha has a loving hospitality. She knows her city inside out and can recommend really good local places to catch a nice meal. The bike ride in the countryside along a narrow river is defiantly worth the trip. Our entry stay at her place made our experience in Can Tho really nice! Don’t miss out on her amazing homemade mango smoothies!

Mua Cave Ecolodge Ninh Binh (Hang Mua) sits near by the Lying Dragon Mountain area, a region often referred to as “Ha Long Bay on land” that lies approximately 100km south of Hanoi and 200km southwest of Ha Long. It is easy to arrive at the resort by taking a 2-hour drive or boarding a train from Hanoi. With an area of 40.000 square meters, Mua Caves Ecolodge is surrounded by lush rice fields and magnificent limestone mountain.
I don’t really know where to start with this review. In theory, Mua Ecolodge should be divine. The scenery is actually incredible and the access to the Mua Caves is a huge perk. But… they’ve done it all wrong. Perhaps COVID has rendered it a little run down, but it felt like living in a ghost of an old theme park. The rooms aren’t well situated at all and you’re essentially in the midst of all the tourists coming to climb the mountain as early as 6am. The pool is ok but there are no sun loungers and it seemed to mysteriously empty itself when we visited. The lounge chairs look nice but are completely impractical to sit on! It literally could not be more uncomfortable for your body and your head is left hovering. The rooms are ok? We asked to upgrade and we got one for free which was nice of them, but to be honest they were nothing to rave about. The aircon was good, the bed comfy and the mosquito net dirty but functional. The rooms were not really clean, but again, enough to not complain. Now the breakfast… truly awful. My husband loves breakfast more than anything and we ate there once and then ventured into Tam Coc. Everything was low quality, even the Vietnamese food which such a shame. If you’re looking to rent bikes or scooters, look around if you’re on a budget as you can get it elsewhere. They do overcharge at Mua Ecolodge! One positive was that the staff were lovely and welcoming and the taxi to town was easy and efficient. But my advice is don’t stay here, there are plenty of other nicer places to spend your time.

My husband and I stayed here over Tet holiday for 4 nights and we loved it. The owners are very friendly and have a great set up. All the staff were just wonderful too, so kind and always smiling. All the food we had was fantastic. They even have sausage and egg muffins for breakfast. All home cooked proper food and reasonably priced too. The beach is lovely and it wasn't busy at all when we were there. Full of beautiful shells too. We stayed in the beach front bungalow and we loved it. Probably one of the most comfortable beds I've ever experienced in the whole of SE Asia. I slept amazingly every single night. I would defintely return for a visit if I ever return to QN again. Highly recommended.

This lovely hotel is tucked off a main street in HoiAn and just a short walk to the Ancient Town. Super nice room- we were in 206, which has a king bed and nice little balcony overlooking some greenery. Lots of hot water and good a/c. Obviously recently built everything is in top shape and nicely done. Front desk staff is friendly and happy to make recommendations for restaurants, spa etc. They suggest the Green Grass Spa nearby, and the massage I had there was excellent (ask for Lee). Hotel has inexpensive laundry service which we used. Same day service- nice. We liked everything about this place.

We loved Ly’s Homestay! Our hosts were so friendly and welcoming. They have recently developed their property so everything was brand new, clean, spacious and very comfortable. Our hosts went out of their way to be helpful - making us breakfast, providing us with bikes, washing our clothes and organising transport to and from Hanoi. There was even a router in the room which is really important to me as I work remotely. We would definitely stay here again and next time we look forward to using the pool as the weather was a bit too cold when we were there. We would recommend staying at Ly’s Homestay, you won’t be disappointed!

We stayed here for three nights at Luna Villa, and it was amazing to say the least. Ms. Linh and her staff were always so happy and so friendly, our room was super clean and the breakfast was fantastic. As soon as we arrived at the villa, Ms. Linh had a complimentary lunch prepared for us which was superb, and brought us a smoothie or iced tea each afternoon when we arrived back at the villa which was such a nice touch. I highly recommend hiring scooters from the villa and going for a ride around the back streets and the rice paddies and exploring the local area, as it is beautiful. We can’t wait to come back to Luna Villa on our next stay in Vietnam, but we will definitely stay longer next time. Thank you Ms. Linh and staff for helping to make our stay in Hoi An amazing!
