We had a 4 night 5 day incredible experience at Wakü Lodge in Canaima. Truely one of the most beautiful and fullfilling experiences in a jungle resort we ever had anywhere. The 30 something cabanas resort on the shore of the Canaima lagoon is beautifully kept with lush gardens and fabulous views of the waterfalls and Tepuy mountains behind it. The manager Jennifer (J-Lo) runs a tight ship with dedicated and eager to please staff who make your stay there wonderful and relaxing. The Hotel has a large covered lobby and restaurants and the Venezuelan jungle is noticible everywhere. The grounds and gardens are kept beautifully, the resident pet monkeys Lisa (a baby howler) and Abu (a baby capauchin) playfully interact with staff and guests and playfight with the other resident animals such as dog puppy “Chocolate” and 8 guacamaya (macaws), many smaller parrots who have claimed the lobby as their territory. A resident Tapir, a few resident Koati’s and two large birds called Kevin and Debbie wander the grounds and remind you you are in their jungle. The rooms are large, airconditioned and have a good bathroom with a great hot water shower. The breakfast restaurant and seperate dinner restaurant have tasteful fittings and furniture and amazing views of the waterfalls too. I recommend a massage also with the sound of the waterfalls in the background. The activities are plentiful: On day one you can take a tour on a small narrow speed boat (curiara) for about 2 hours to and around the waterfalls of Canaima Lagoon with the Chaman who will then take you on a hike to the waterfalls to a viewpoint where you can see the Falls fully and walk behind them. An amazing experience. The full day trio to Angel Falls is amazing. It starts with an early early rise (0400h) and a 5 hour boat trip up river (in wet season when the river is high enough) to the basecamp, then a 3km hike up to the base of the Angel Falls and a view and experience of the falls that is unforgettable. The hike back down is even tougher but satisfying, and the 3 hour down river trip back very very relaxing. During the trips the experienced guides explain everything and help you enjoy the trip fully. Back at the lodge you truely appeciate the attention to detail that the owner (Mari) and staff have put into the decorations and atmospherics. Beautiful vases with flowers, indiginous art and baskets, many accessories and ornaments that make your stay there fulfilling. An adventure of a lifetime, fully worth the value for money. Wakü Lodge and its staff (human and animal) really made our trip unforgettable. Alex Oosterwijk

Malibu is the most beautiful Vip Lodge in Los Roques, within a mixed Caribbean Mediterranean architecture it is full of tiny details that achieve to divide the spaces into the lodge creating many halls and social areas without needing walls. The upper terrace is a spectacle at the sunset, there is also an inner yard where food is served, and you will enjoy some of Venezuelan, Mediterranean and Japanese food.
We had such a great time. The place is elegant and relaxed at the same time. Food is outstanding. Antonio the owner is super helpful and caring. Staff is well trained and very friendly. It could not have been better.

Absolutely love this place. It's cozy and beautiful, you quickly get the feeling that you're staying at a friend's house. The rooms are the perfect size as you might be out in nature most of your time anyways. You can turn of the AC (we Europeans are not used to sleep in very cold rooms). The water pressure in the shower could be better (but oh well, it's an island; guess it's not that easy to provide same service as on the mainland). The best part are the people (extremely friendly and always with a smile). And don't forget to mention the food: absolutely delicious! All in all, I'd definitely recommend this place to my friends back home (there is also a rooftop terrace where you can chill at night).

A new full comfort hotel, in the center of Santa Elena de Uairen from where you can have any tour to the Gran Sabana, Roraima, Angel falls aso... Price of the rooms begin at 35 $ per night. Hot water, drinkable water, air conditioned, parking, free internet wifi
HOT WATER! Did I mention HOT WATER! Even the pricey Eurobuilding in Caracas didn't have hot water. Posada l"auberge had some of the hottest water I've experienced in a 3rd world hotel. It's the perfect place to come after a grueling hike at Roraima. This hotel is located in the heart of the tourist / backpacker / trekker area of the city. It's safe (well-protected by 4 dogs and a locked gate), the owner (originally from France) and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. Down the street is a wonderful little store which sells drinks and snacks. Out front is a street vendor which makes morning cafe' and cooks fresh empanadas. Restaurants are all within a block's distance. The room has TV, aircon, wifi, and a fridge. I wish I could have taken l'Auberge around with me in Venezuela so I had a wonderful place to stay. I highly recommend this hotel.

We are a small hotel or inn, inside a the national park Morrocoy, Venezuela we have an amazing view of the hole park and the "cayos" (beaches) offer a full package of service that includes, breakfast, transportation to the beach with a guide that serves you lunch and drinks during the day, snacks and a formal dinner at and double triple and quadruple rooms.
The posada managers were incredibly rude. Their lack of action to provide solutions to the few requests we had was astonishing. The price is not worth it. -Food is very low quality except for the dinners. We had unches included that were served at the beach and we decided to buy addional lunch because it was terrible. We told them and they said “that’s what we have”. -Air conditioner wasn’t working properly, we told them, and they didn’t cares -The staff decide which cayos are they going to. They have a list but tourists do not choose where to go. -The manager was incredibly rude. -They offered us beverages during the dinner and then said they did not offer that. We showed them the email that stated they did and they did not cared they did not even apologize. -In general, it’s not good place to stay and enjoy a chilled vacation. Because the staff make everything terrible.

Upon arrival at the camp, you will be shown to your private rooms. After lunch you will experience the wild and natural habitat of the virgin forest making a brief tour of the river banks. At the end of the day return to the camp and a delicious dinner and rest. If you wish, you can take a dip in the river or just sit back and watch one of the fabulous sunsets on the delta. After a delicious dinner you will have the opportunity to enjoy the silence of the Orinoco River and listen to the dolphins, some days playing in front of the camp.
Largely deserted but nevertheless still felt good. We were very well looked after in this fantastic camp. Accommodation was great, some of the rooms on the outside of the camp have the most amazing views over the river to the mountains. Clean, compact rooms. Food was excellent, there were 6 of us, 3 with special dietary requirements and all were dealt with, with no fuss. Great base for exploring and trips.

Caña Fresca is located in the pleasant area of La Asuncion (Capital of Nueva Esparta State), which is the largest island in Venezuela, better known as Margarita Island, at just twenty minutes drive from the modern shopping mall Costazul, Sambil, Parguito and El Agua beaches, among other attractions. We already are in the Valentina Quintero´s guide, recognized Venezuelan journalist.
La mejor sitio que hemos visitado un lugar realmente mágico lleno de mucha tranquilidad y bellos paisajes, la habitación y áreas comunes simplemente impecables, la atención de Zair excelente un lugar que quedará siempre marcado en nuestra memoria

This Lodge was built in 2006 and is one of the three hotels located directly on the beach of the famous Canaima Lagoon, one of the most beautiful places in Venezuela. From the beach you will have a stunning view over the various waterfalls and the majestic Table-top Mountains “Cerro Venado” and “Cerro Kursari”. The lodge has been built according to the typical Indigenous style to fit into the landscape, combining tradition with modern life. “Tapuy“ means “roof of a big palm tree” in Pemon language. Spend some time in our rustic restaurant or the bar in an indigenous-style Churuata, just a few steps away from the rooms. Our staff will spoil you with national, international or indigenous-style meals. There are 16 superior rooms that have been tastefully decorated and include air conditioning and a fan. Bathrooms are fully equipped and include a bathtub and all amenities.
I don't recomend to stay this hotel because No1 Not friendly hotel staff. (The some hotel staff were also hold the post of Angell fall tour guide) We felt they were not really friendly and kind. For example, we sometime asked question about the tour schedule and content but they just said “wait a moment” and went to somewhere else. No2 Slow Response. (Nobody in the reception around 22pm and we were trying to find somebody hotel staff and found the room where hotel related person was staying) We asked to change the room because of bellow No3, but the person didn’t come back even though we were waiting about 40minutes so we went to the room again but nobody answered. We were looking for the person in the other hotel site and found the person. Finally our room was changed. No3 Broken Toilet. The toilet was not flush No4 No Shuttle. Hotel staff came to Canaima airport to pickup us but shuttle service was not offered. The distance from airport to the hotel was not far but the road was not paved and there was many puddle therefore we needed to lift up and brought the suitcase. The price is higher than Tapuy lodge but I highly recommend to stay Waku lodge. The tour guide from Waku lodge was very friendly and kind person. (We were joining the tour which was operated by the staff of Tapuy lodge but we met the guide from Waku lodge in some tour place). Shutlle was operated properly.
