Famed for winter skiing and summer hiking and climbing opportunities, the Dolomites are a section of the Alps in northeastern Italy, running roughly from Pieve di Cadore in the east to the Adige River in the west. Marmolada, just east of Trento, is the highest peak, at nearly 11,000 feet. The dramatic and craggy mountains are famed for their unique colors, which are the result of their partial formations as undersea coral colonies before being pushed upward millions of years ago.

The hotel was very comfortable, the rooms were roomy and warm. There is a ski room where you can leave your skis at the end of the day, in this room there are also ski boot warmers!! The only flaws are that the breakfast was limited, there isn't a lot of variety of food. And also in our room the key would never insert correctly so we wouldn't have light in our room.

I had the opportunity to visit this hotel while on my month long visit to Pinzolo. The food was wonderful (lunch and dinner). The rooms were spacious and wonderfully comfortable. The owners could not have been nicer. It is a small and quaint hotel and quiet with a bar and restaurant. Walking distance to the center of town and beyond. Parking and wifi. Owner operated and very nice people. Some speak English as well. There is a Spa on the level below with a hot tub and sauna etc. I would have no problem staying there.

This place is unique. It was built with passion and love by two wonderful hosts. We had an amazing time, wonderful breakfasts in the morning and we took advantage of the kitchen for dinner a couple of times, too. The rooms are unique, designed and built in wood by the owner. Views are breathtaking and it is such a special place. Everything about this place is great. Definitely recommend it for couples or groups of friends, especially if you love staying somewhere off the beaten track and away from the most touristy areas of the dolomites. Most fun activities are easy to reach, so are the best walks and hikes in the area. You must have a 4x4 car or agree with the owners times to travel up and down the steep access to the house!

Honestly expected a bit more.. the price is in my opinion to high in comparison to the quality and the amount of food. Generally when the amount of food is so low I expect a really gourmet experience while in this case it is just as good as many other restaurants with lower prices and bigger amounts of food.

Grazie

I stayed here two times this year together with my kids. It's a very nice hotel, the flt was big and well furnished, a small welcome gift was waiting for us. We tested the spa area, small but nice. I had half board and am very happy and satisfied, delicious and interesting food, unexpected combinations. Helpful and nice staff in all areas. Heated ski room and 5m to the slope, skis on almost from your room. The only thing I don't think was at the same level was the cleanness of the room, the floor was rather dirty at our arrival and it didn't seem that they cleared it during our stay. Beds were made every day and towels changed though. I will be there next year too. Thank you for the wonderful time

We stayed in Hotel Gonzaga, our spacious room on 1st floor was tidy and clean, the pillows, duvets and mattresses, however, was the worst struggle for a week (in February 2017) - the body was more worn out from resting/sleeping than from skiing. The owner was told about the beds' state, so hopefully their next investment would be to improve that matter. The afterskiing was non existing, no before-dinner-drink possibilities. The dinners were well prepared, tasted nice and there was many different choices, so you could taste local dishes or stick to more international ones. the waiter (& Spa responsible) was a hard worker, responsible for the ambiance and atmosphere by her appearance, and good at making jokes etc. while the rest of the staff seemed tired from the season.
