There are 23 districts in the center of Tokyo, and they have a huge variety of different characteristics. Ginza offers department stores and luxury boutiques, Shibuya and Harajuku are bustling with young people, Akihabara is the birth place of 'Otaku' culture and Asakusa features an old-style downtown atmosphere.

I regularly use Sakura Hotel Nippori to do business as it has reliable wifi and great facilities. The cost is extremely reasonable and staff are helpful. The location is great, it's right in the heart of the trendy Yanesen district and very convenient for both Nippori and Sendagi stations, making it easy to get from Narita airport and travel around Tokyo. You can even visit Ueno park and its many museums on foot. The rooms are simple and clean. The restaurant has a wide variety of international cuisine and a great selection of world beers. I would equally recommend this to people traveling around Japan, or for those who need a teleworking base.

Visited Japan and stayed in this hotel with husband, a preteen and a teen. Stayed in a family room with a double bed and 2 singles. Bathroom is small and there are no cabinets to put clothes in. Only hooks to hang your clothes from. They have no meals in the hotel but there are restos around the place. You can even take out food from a store at the corner which is open 24 hours and eat in their kitchen/dining area which is open only until 10 PM. There's also Family Mart 2 doors down and a 7/11 around the corner. If you plan to stay in your room for long periods, I suggest you don't stay in this hotel as it is going to be claustrophobic. But if all you need is a clean place to stay and sleep, then this is the place for you. They do provide amenities like toothbrush, towels, soap, shampoo, conditioner and robe and a hairdryer. There's also a small ref inside the room. All in all, it's a nice place to stay in. And props to the staff. Very helpful. They answered all my questions promptly even before we got there.

The rooms are really nice and the public areas are very clean. We really like the time at the venue and the hostel is located close to relevant metro stations (JR Railway Pass). However the price policies of the hostel for towels and stuff like slippers, storing luggage, etc. are weird and expensive and do not match the concept. Also being an environmentally friendly hostel does not match with not providing reusable towels but single use paper towels in the bathrooms.

We went to Japan in April, in a 6 person trip. Our tour guide is a gentleman who have lived in Japan for many years, he arrange almost all of our stay in Family Lodge when we travel from Tokyo to Nagoya by car, spanning across few hundred km distance, there are many branches in Japan! The hotel room is very comfortable, we are so happy to check in every night, as most of the room design are similar in all branches, we feel like coming back to home and slept well. According to our tourguide, the hotel are managed only by retired and married couple. Also, they must learn to bake nice croissant with culinary qualification. We love the smell every morning when we walk into the lobby, the croissant and other bread are simply delicious. Room are clean, equipped with branded shampoo and all toiletries, just like other places in Japan. Definitely will visit again if i travel to Japan again.

A 4-minute walk from Tokyo Skytree, SMI:RE STAY OSHIAGE is situated in Tokyo and features rooms with free WiFi. The property is located 1.7 km from Sensoji Temple. The property is set 2 km from Edo Tokyo Museum. Guest rooms in the hotel are fitted with a flat-screen TV. Each room comes with a private bathroom equipped with a bath and free toiletries, while some rooms come with a kitchenette.
We're a family of 4 and stayed at the quadruple room for 4 nights. We chose Smi:re Stay Oshiage mainly for how it looks and where it's located. Pros: Great location, modern design, comfy beds, kitchenette, and in-room washing machine Cons: No daily housekeeping, no wardrobes, tight hallway, could have used a full-sized mirror Bottomline: Despite minor drawbacks, Smi:re Stay Oshiage is an excellent choice for a small family like ours. We definitely recommend this for staying in Tokyo. Here's a more detailed review of Smi:re Stay: 1. Design We loved the minimalist design with concrete, wood, and glass. It kinda felt like sleeping in a Muji store (in a good way)! 2. Size & Layout It's not in any way tiny, but since the layout of the room is narrow, it's also not the most spacious, especially since we had several luggage (however, there is enough space in corners and under the beds to stow them). Two bedrooms are connected by a tight hallway, where the separate toilet and bathroom are located. The bigger room contains the master bed, dining area, and kitchenette, so it can be a bit cramped. The smaller bedroom, however, is just perfect for our 2 kids. Technically, there's no work desk but the dining table can serve that purpose. 3. Comfort & Cleanliness The mattresses are very comfy, cozy, and soft, so we certainly slept well. The hotel also provided pajamas and disposable slippers so plus points for that. The two rooms have air-conditioners to keep them cool (or warm, in our case, since we were here in December). The toilet (Japanese toilets with their built-in bidets are the best) and shower are very clean. Water temperature is adjustable and water pressure is strong. Lots of towels and toiletries for everyone. Our only complaint is that there's only one mirror, which is placed too high for little kids. A full- or even half-sized mirror in the corridor perhaps would have been nice. 4. Service There is no lobby or front desk. The cafe/bar in the building serves that purpose. But Kenzo, who was on duty, was very friendly and helpful. As for housekeeping, they throw the trash and replace the towels every other day and make the bed every 4 days. We're not too happy with that, but it's no deal breaker either. 5. Amenities As this is a serviced apartment, the room is equipped with a kitchenette with a stove, microwave oven, kettle, and fridge. There are plenty of glasses, mugs, plates, and utensils. Breakfast isn't included, so we just bought sandwiches from the nearby Family Mart or 7-Eleven. There are plenty of hangers but no wardrobe cabinets, just a couple of wooden racks to hang our jackets. We liked that there's a washing machine in the room with free laundry soap for a single wash. The funny thing though is we had to dry up our clothes on a steel bar on top of the TV! Speaking of the TV, only local channels are available. But the free and fast Wi-Fi made up for it. 6. Location & Security The location is excellent as Oshiage/Skytree is a great base to explore Tokyo. We can even see the famous Tokyo Skytree from our room! The hotel is a 5-min. walk from Skytree/Solamachi and a 1-min. walk from the B1 exit of the Oshiage/Skytree Station. It's also in a quiet and safe side street of the neighborhood, so we we had a restful sleep during our stay. 7. Check-in & Check-out The check-in was super fast, with Kenzo double-checking our booking details and explaining the house rules for a few minutes. We were greeted by Pepper the robot at the elevator area (she's a delight, though she needs more information loaded in her system to be truly useful). Check-out was just a matter of posting a check-out card at the reception. 8. Family Friendly The hotel is great for families. Our kids have a separate room (a bed each). Access to the station is a short walk for them. There's strong Wi-Fi if they just want to chill. And they loved interacting with Pepper the robot.

We are located in the heart of the Shinjuku. As a legal operation hotel,we equipped with security system and service. So just enjoy your trip! Asakusa,Ginza,Ikebukuro,Shibuya,Harajuku,Tokyo Tower,Akihabara Our hotel is close to Shinjuku and Shinokubo. It's a 1min walk to Higashishinjuku Sta. This is a typical Japanese residential area with so Many small restaurants, shops & ramen nearby.
Situated in more quiet part of Shinjuku, it is not far walking or train ride from all of the happening spots. The space is modern but still very cozy and comfortable. The staff here is great. Everyone has a smile and they are all willing to help. I will look to book with Glou again when I return to Tokyo.

Our newly built condo hotel is about 2 minutes by walk from Suitengumae Station and Tokyo City Air Terminal. From Tokyo City Air Terminal, you can take the Limousine Bus directly to either Narita or Haneda Airport. Perfect for those who just arrived from the airport and want to have a comfortable rest before heading out. Every room has free wifi, a 4K TV, a fully equipped kitchen, a refridgerator, an air conditioner/heater, and a washer/dryer. If you walk about 5 minutes to Kayabacho Station, you can go to Tokyo Disneyland in about 20 minutes by train.
We needed space for family on our trip to Tokyo and had to weigh up two adjoining hotel rooms versus an apartment hotel. For the price, this was the better option as central hotels are expensive. Hotel Axas is a cross between serviced apartment and hotel - reception desk staffed more like a hotel, but room cleaning only on request (but available daily) is more like an apartment. The location was in a quite part of Tokyo, only 100m from the airport bus terminal. It’s between two metro lines. And has small supermarkets close by. However it’s not a bustling or trendy area. The room had four beds, dining table, full kitchen, bathroom and laundry with washing machine in the room. Plenty of space for our young kids. On balance, it gets near full marks as it met everything we needed as a family hotel and there really are not many to chose from in Tokyo!
