I noticed I wrote a review in July last year. Covid-19 kept us away for exactly one year and we were happy to go back yesterday. We were seated at their beautiful big terrace next to the restaurant. For starters we both had the homemade 'Mangalica' pâté, which was very nice. The plate however was huge with a big amount of salad, onion, cucumber and various kinds of paprika. A bit too much to our liking. For mains we chose the sirloin steak with baked onions and the schnitzel. The sirloin was good, but quite flat and somewhat overcooked. The (giant) schnitzel was excellent and truly big. Staff was spot on and extremely friendly.

Beautiful garden, friendly dog, and clean atmosphere. The breakfast was the best. The couple spoke no word of English, but somehow managed to give us assistance on finding places to eat and things to do. A short walk to the main street, and to various wineries.

Beautifully refurbished accommodation in the center of Pecs, at the Szent István square, 11 rooms with 40 beds, 2 kitchenettes and dining rooms, lounge, chapel, exhibition and community space, courtyard with parking spaces, peaceful park. 1-4 bedded rooms with bathroom, 5-8 bedded bigger rooms with separately bathrooms. Well-equipped kitchenettes, free consumption of coffee and tea. The inner courtyard can be parked (limited), the hotel guests can relax on the benches in pleasant surroundings of the park. The upstairs exhibition space is available up to 50 people for conferences, trainings, perfect venue to hold spiritual exercises, weddings and other religious ceremonies.
I visited Pecs 3 times during Light Festivals. I discovered CHP accidentally. Next two were no aacident. For about €25 per night, nothing beats CHP. It is very clean, has very nice garden, very useful kitchen. Highly recommended. Thank you Mr Zsolt

Tasty meals, really nice wines from their own winery (wine tasting tour possibility) and the best bed & breakfast ever. Would highly recommend! If you visit Hungary, give a try and visit Wein & Schlaf pension in Gyorkony village. Truly worth it!

Country estate with comprehensive wine tasting cellar and facilities for large events like weddings and private parties. They have their own vineyards nearby, which they serve at the wine tastings, together with the local bread.

Newly renovated and furnished building and rooms, kind hosts, very good breakfast, safe place for our bikes. There is air-conditioning and fridge in the rooms. We spent only 1 night on a bike tour around the lake and got a really warm welcome. We got every information about the places nearby, restaurants, shops etc. It is in walking distance to the free beach but in a quiet place.

Egy éjszakát töltöttünk a vendégházban, baráti társasággal érkeztünk, 3 szobát foglaltunk. A szobák tágasak, felszereltek, saját fürdőszobával. Közös nappali/konyha tér, mindennel felszerelt. Az udvaron grillezési lehetőség. A szállásadó abszolút segítőkész, barátságos. Borkóstolási lehetőség a saját borpincéjükben. Csak ajánlani tudom.

We spent here 3 nights. The location is great: the beautifully refurbished old house transformed into a guesthouse was built on a wine hill, not far from downtown. If you come by car, be prepared to drive a steep road (perhaps 100 m long) up to the spacious parking lot. The place is absolutely clean. Our host Miklós was very friendly and helpful. He prepared great breakfasts for the 2 of us and gave lots of useful hints on where to go, what to see. As he explained, most of the furniture was made by him. The photos give a true picture of what to expect. WiFi was excellent.

We been staying in this accommodation 5 years in the row. Why? Amazing location just few meters from Petőfi Sétány, but right behind another hotel so you are not disturbed by the part going on. One of the buildings (Sissi) is more fancy and newly renovated with nice rooms and AC. The second one is less “luxury” but also really nice. Breakfast is tasty and full of different sausages, eggs, hams, fruit and vegetable. Well, parking in the closed garden is also worth mentioning :-) And the staff is really helpful and willing. Recommend.
